ur wrong yze_magic regarding sylvia. you claim that Dean Bailey has developed col sylvia because he understands that he belongs as a forward and then you state that he averages 18touches a game. The truth is, his numbers are only that high because he was being played off the half back line.

i do 1 footy tipping comp each year and i know its easy to say but i'm on 73 tips for oztips. quite an easy year tho i feel

Bate does not have good agility. In fact, its pathetic. He cannot move quickly from side to side if his life depended on it. He is the same height as Joel Corey yet Joel Corey could side-step Bate at walking pace.
-
Bartram - out wrestled medhurst Bate - worst agility ever Bell - rest my case Bode - not afl standard Bruce - in our best Dunn - had limited impact Garland - has established himself Green - a costly miss Johnson - a pleasing game Jones - had a crack McDonald - excellent stopping game McLean - will poll 2 Miller - gaining some respect Moloney- shame about injury Morton - some wayward kicks Rivers - had limited influence Sylvia - shoulda kicked more Warnock - is developing nicely Wheatley - an excellent game White - field kicking underrated Yze - in our 18 Wonaeamirri - efficient with 3

yeh...i dont see ur point hannabal..whilst i stated the obvious..it was the first time mentioned in the thread. why dont we just look at next years draft in case we happen to trade with the southport sharks for the number 1 pick?...its so far fetched.
-
yeh exactly, there are so many different variables resulting in us not getting the number 1 pick. its great now that carlton are out of the picture...but essendon, fremantle and richmond are all capable of losing every game for the rest of the year, carlton-style..so hannabal, i'm sure last year u would have thought that carlton would not have lost so many on the trot..but they did. personally, i'm not going to be analysing naitaniu unless we happen to lose to both richmond, fremantle and essendon.
-
there is a BIG chance we wont get the number 1 pick so I dont know why everyone are counting their eggs. At the moment, Carlton and Richmond have their hands on picks 1 and 2 unless they win some more games...and if we beat either freo or essendon than we could find ourselves with a pick 3 or something..so any talk about Naitanui is pretty stupid.
-
okay okay. it's my turn All of this talk about Newton being traded is a joke. He had a great season last season, and the fact that he can't crack the seniors is NOT a reflection of how he will play once in the seniors! Almost every time Newton plays in the Seniors, he kicks a goal or two and I like the way he plays . I don't believe we will get naitanui, I think Essendon or Fremantle will end up with less wins. So i'm guessing Daniel Rich. Mcdonald will not be going, one year past winning back to back B+F's is hardly well past his peak. Easily staying. Sylvia has been criticised for not getting his hands on the pill enough over his career, yet now when he is getting plenty of the footy(despite playing off the HB line), people are complaining. At the end of the day, he has improved on an area of his game that is, 'finding the footy' Carroll will stay. You need a tough FB down there to show the ropes for the younger guys. Personally, I don;t think Garland is going to do all that much. His recent success has either been due to other players zoning off to help him out, or poor delivery into the forward line from opposing teams' midfielders. Yze will be gone but he is easily in our best 18, but the youth policy has stamped him out. White will stay: He is our only ruckman and ruckmen aren't as effective with hitouts anymore but White is equally as effective as any other ruckman around the ground bar Cox. CJ: Should go. miller: Should go, but won't.

"Davey, Woneamirri, Natanui, Maric, Bate, Morton, Buckley... where amazing happens" Hmmm, let's see. davey out injured, wonaeamirri wasn't sighted, naitanui isnt on our list, maric can't make the team, bate injured his hand, morton has the flu and buckley is buckley. Pretty amazing

Freak replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
thank god u guys are doing the recruiting for us. You always go best available early on. or you will end up picking up another tom williams(pick 6 from the dogs) -
he is not our most important player. its very easy to pump up his tyres after his best game of his career, i didnt see this thread last week for some reason. end of discussion
-
Personally, I think Hurley is too small for the monster kp backman that we want.
-
we need 2 good key position forwards, and 1 quick onballer and 1 solid key back..then all of our problems will go away. Roughead, Franklin, Marc murphy and a Nathan Brown. Its all in recruiting.
-
its just a bloody number. Travis Varcoe from the Cats got given Gods number...so lets put it in perspective.
-
well Miller predominantly leads up the grade anyway.
-
I didn't see today's game. i was wondering how brad miller went?...did he back up from his good permance in round 7?
-
how about '[censored] off'

Why we must finish last with less than 5 wins
Freak replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
at this point in time, both rich and carlton qualify for a priority pick at the START of round 1. and as both of these teams are capable of losing every game 4 the rest of the year ala carlton last year, im not even thinking naitanui -
lol. i'm pretty sure its anything to get urself on tv in his books. But i don't think an internet geek, who probably hasn't seen sunlight in the past 4months has much of a leg to stand on.
-
yep, knuckle boy has arrived. feel free to join the knuckle boy appreciation society on facebook. get on it boys.
-
I thik you're forgetting mclean. he will be leading it by a fair margin. number 5 in the comp in disposals.
-
i dunno about you guys but i just wanna rebuild and give us a chance of winning a flag in the future instead of having a false sense of where we are as a club and pick up has-beens(cousins) or age-ing good players(embley).
-
If Sandilands played poorly it was because he had an off day, nothing to do with a fringe player in Jamar.
-
get your own material, thats what they said on channel 7. In my opinion, i don't think Jamar is going to worry the 7 foot 120kg Sandilands.

well rhino, its not third hand wives tales. bohdan does have a bad history with other clubs in terms of soft-tissue injuries...and recruiting a fitness guy is not much different from recruiting a player..there is always a hunch involved. like i had a hunch that franklin would be better than deledio, like i had a hunch steve johnson would be one of the best of his draft and a hunch that bohdan would increase our levels of injuries for whatever reason.
