  1. Miller played 16 matches last season. Here are 12 of those 16 matches: r1: 10 touches r6, 3 touches r7, 10 touches r8: 8 touches r9: 12 touches r14: 11 touches r15: 9 touches r 16: 13 touches r17:10 touches r18: 9 touches r21: 10 touches r22: 13 touches POTENTIAL!!! No1 here as even put forward a logical argument for keeping Miller. I heard that he played 1 good game in the vfl, i've heard that he has played the odd good game at afl..but every sinlge player that has played the amount of games that Miller has played and had his amount of opportunities would have played a few good games atleast.
  2. what sort of confidence would the likes of Ferguson, ward or Godfrey have when a guy like miller is kept on the list instead of them? No way will they be able to recover from that. Miller is hands down the worst player on our list, including our rookie list. Why is has got another chance and contract I do not know. He has no leadership potential because he has no potential of being able to play afl or even vfl standard football. He is consistent, but consistent at a very very low level. He has consistently shown that he doesn't have what it takes to kick goals as a forward, despite what role given to him, as even backs kick more goals than he does. The reality is miller did have trade value and we turned it down. a silly decision. A 192cm frame with a weight of over 90kg sounds enticing for a CHF but i would much prefer a Yao Ming in a wheel chair who satisfies both of these credentials. If Miller has 5 more years of playing days than that is when this club can start to act seriously about winning a flag. The fact that Dunn and Newton were slow-played due to the likes of Miller is like playing me in the back pocket for the crows and snuffing out Andrew Mcleod to play in the reserves. If Miller stays, than they all should stay. Miller staying at the club should act as a precedent for all of the other players on the list. If miller stays, than they all should have stayed.
  3. i think Rance can play fb
  4. yeh, I remember when we were all [censored] because we picked up James frawley instead of James Sellar. Now, sellar has almost been forgotten about.
  5. i cant stand people on this board sometimes. cotchin, selwood and rioli? hahaha. all 3 are potential first rounders..cotchin is a definate top 3, rioli and top 15 and selwood a top 30. keep dreaming.
  6. I read this thread and had to reply. if johnstone gets all-australian for the next 3 years its irrelevant because we probably aren't going to win a premiership anyway. so pick 14 for a 27/28 yr old if a good deal..assuming CAC does his job.
  7. You're a very 'cup half full' kind of person if you are pinning your hopes on Meesen making it. He didn't show signs at the crows.
  8. i say we just take the pick 14 and bolt.
  9. Yeh rivers is important..but pick 10 is high and brent reilly is a beautiful user of the footy. better than most in our team..almost the best in fact. goddard like.
  10. this so doesn't deserve its own thread. Unless this is going through the minds of the clubs involved in the trade I don't really care.
  11. as sure as you were about Judd coming to Melbourne?
  12. we didn't draft white or Holland in the 1994 draft.
  13. cameron wood is definitely worth pick 14.no doubt.
  14. yeh i think the pies have pick 12. even better!
  15. its quite simple jaded. we arent in the premiership in the next 3-4 years so having Green around will not make a difference to our premiership hopes. On the contrary, if we pick up an 18 yr old draft pick, there is a fair chance that he will be provide good service for us during a time when we are having a crack at the flag.
  16. lol.that is a ridiculous statement. pick5! not a chance in hell would we get that. I think the only player that would get a top 5 pick would be Mclean or Davey or even Jones if we were really really lucky. Green is too old to get a top 5 pick.
  17. no way would the rebuilding bombers lose their pick 6 for an above average Green and an unproven draft pick 21
  18. I know this draft very well. I'm a little scared too that the fact that Masten and Ebert have OP. But aside, here are my top 3 1. Cotchin- distinguished attribute: Can keep extremely well off both feet 2. Morton- distinguished attribute: endurance and long kick. 3. Palmer- distinguished attribute: his form at the u18 carnival was better than any other draftee despite what anyone else thinks I don't think we will get 1 or 2 though.
  19. Source: SEN Several clubs are interested in Brad Green. Melbourne said that something pretty special would have to be offered to let Brad Green go.
  20. 'a penis with arms'. lol
  21. I reckon if Cousins retires from football now, his life is in a bit of danger. I think if I was his family I'd want him to continue playing footy. Just my opinion.
  22. 1.kruezer 2. Cotchin 3. Morton its always been those 3 in that order..there is no reason why it would be anything else. they are the 3 standouts. unfortunately we have pick 4 because none of them will slide.
  23. ummm, there is a hell of a big difference between picks 1 and 3 and pick 7 and 11. Nathan Thompson, Brad Ottens acheived two first round picks and Jed Adcock is no exception. Carlton would be prepared to offer 2 first round picks(provided it wasnt their number 1 pick)..but they dont have another pick between 5 and 15 which would help them out.
  24. on the flip side. Miller is a disadvantage and TJ is over the hill.
  25. I think you've all missed the point with regards to pick 11. The pick 11 is all an agreement between 4 clubs. it would be offered to melbourne PROVIDED it was on-traded to fremantle PROVIDED it was on-traded to brisbane for jed adcock.
