anyone with a semi-decent motor can tag. its easy. if a player is fixated on tagging a player out of a game, then they shouldn't get more than 7 or 8 touches such is the easy nature of tagging. For the record, Simon Black was still named in the best for Brisbane.

Still should be forward. Tagging is easy

Jack Watts - Confirmed #1 Pick in 2008 Draft - Booyah!!!

watts looked shocking in the game i saw. every time he got the ball he tried to do too much or hesitated 1000 times in his head. he is almost the opposite of daniel rich who is assure of himself and kicks them from 60m. watts would have been in the bottom 5 players on the ground. I want someone who, if the delivery is bad, can still find the ball up the ground, or have an influence on the game. i think people just love him because he was a good basketballer, and his agility 'in close' runs rings around the typical slow-witted football players. -
VIC Metro vs WA on Fox Sports - Wednesday July 9th

watts was very disappointing. After seeing him today he was a complete let down. He tried to do wayyyy too much when he had the ball, he probably only had about 8 or 9 touches, he constantly fell to ground and did nothing to suggest that he is worth even a first rounder. If it wasnt for his hype we would have no idea who he was judging by this game. I am officially scared that we will pick him up instead of someone like Rich who had class stamped all over him. Atleast naitanui could get his hands on the ball. Watts couldn't find it. Potential is a scary word. Brock Mclean v Colin Sylvia...Rich v Watts..i know who i want -
hey guys, is there any chance that we could finish 13th and miss out on watts, rich and naitanui. Port seem to be tanking so hard and given our recent form we could very easily win another 5 games, those being freo(r16) essendon(r18),wce(r20), port(r21) richmond(r22). So lets not get ahead of ourselves.

i knew mclean wouldnt be playing this week. the only reason why he could play out the last quarter is because he was given an injection. this will help our chances of getting better draft picks, just a statement of fact.

i dont mean to ruin the mood but polak is not out of jail yet. despite being able to squeeze the nurses hand and being able to perform very basic motor movements there is still a high chance of him having permanent brain injuries and never playing again. His playing future is really the smallest of concerns here.

Bartram/Akermanis Dunn/Cross Whelan/Brad Johnson Warnock/Welsh Garland/Murphy Cross gets most of the Doggies clearances so i think Dunn should go to him. Cooney is probably a bit to dashing for Dunn anyway. Restricting Cross' clearances should directly affect the ability of Cooney to get the ball. Stefan Martin can be played anywhere so I think he will keep his spot
-
Well before we discuss the team, just thought I'd let everyone know (who doesnt have foxtel) that there will be a delayed telecast of this match!!! Anyway, I think Stefan Martin will keep his spot, I think Bode will be omitted. I reckon Mclean will be given a week off to rest his ankle too

despite him playing for freo

Did Anyone relised we watched the future today?

People are forgetting petterd too who i regard as the best youngster at our club. cant wait to see him back in the red and blue. And Newton is unfairly criticised on these boards. i still regard him as someone to play 200 games. -
thAn a footballer
-
martin is still a better basketballer
-
i think bate would be good in the backline because he has the turning circle of a truck. In the backline he can attack the footy straight on, run the lines and use his big left foot. In the forward line, he marks the ball..takes 5 minutes turning around which by then all of the other players have flooded back.

the siren has already sounded
-
sylvia?..you have got to be joking. he is not a bad kick..but for someone with hardly any experience you don't want him to be kicking for a bloody grand final. Green and Davey are a bit older and are proven players. I'd probably go: 1.Green 2. Davey 3.Mclean Roughies: Wheatley, White, Newton

Jack Watts - Confirmed #1 Pick in 2008 Draft - Booyah!!!

the fact that you have compared rich with fiora is ridiculous. rich is far more in and under than fiora ever was. -

ben mckinley also kicked bags of goals when playing at the u18 champs..and from memory was awarded Vic Metros best player...i wouldnt spend a top pick on ben mckinley either, depsite being a handy player. -

ummm no. rich will go above watts. the fact that he is not playing well in the u18 champs is irrelevant. cotchin played just as poorly last season and was picked up number 2 and is now playing good footy. -
i think ur on crack yze_magic, theres no chance watts would go number 1 near draft time.
-
he is so underrated amongst our fans i reckon...he is one of the best tacklers at our club and has more of a crack than most in our team.
-
we will beat richmond..and freo will lose..and we will be off the bottom. enough said
-
sorry to be picky jaded but maybe you should do some research yourself, he isn't 9th in the afl for disposals..he is equal 10th on 276 for the year.
