Let Berry play, he won’t make an ounce of difference to the outcome
-
Would’ve thought #2 chook
-
Well my avatar is the sigil of the Fish Creek FNC @Crystal Dees, where my folks have a place. Lovely part of the world, though been very wet this winter.
-
Cadman could go at #2, given he is the only quality KPF in the draft, if a team really wants him, pick #2 is not a big reach for him.
-
I agree with Kozzie. The only good thing about the city of Melbourne is the MFC.
-
Yeah, but he’s only 192cm 😆. (he’s got long arms, so plays taller than his listed height).
-
If the filth want to bring in other players and Grundy’s wage is holding that up, then they’re the ones that’ll need to be flexible in accepting ‘unders’ to get him off their books.
-
I wonder if the intix website has crashed yet? $h!t@tek ftw.
-
Maybe they want to make sure Clarrie is not in a rush to get in the building?

Demonland Player of the Year Honour Board
Demon Disciple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
By the time he is done, Clarry may very well be the greatest demon ever. -
Salem has neither the pace of a Langdon, nor the gut running of a Gus. His weapon is his kicking, so half back is his natural position.
-
Yeah we need to take a few calculated risks, but relying on JVR and Cadman (yes 2 exciting KPF prospects) would be very risky seeing as neither has played an AFL game yet. We are stuck with a catch 22, but if we are giving up quality (which Dogga and Salem are), I want known quality in return. Potential is as equally dangerous as it is promising.
-
If the filth need to salary dump to get other players and we are the only ones willing to pay a decent proportion of his salary, they should be expecting very little in return. If they want a first rounder for him, they should pay at least 50% of his wage. id stay well clear of any of their nqr’s, as recently it’s never worked out for the other party, only the filth.

Trading Draft Picks for Salary Dumps!
Demon Disciple replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
The AFL lost whatever integrity it had long ago DS. Under Gil’s watch it’s gotten even worse. Im hoping Brendan Gale becomes the next AFL CEO, as he imo could really get the league back on track in this regard. -
With Dogga just about gone, the only thing that would adequately compensate us if we were able to bring in Cadman as a result. Even then, Cadman is still an unknown.
-
Salem won’t net us Cadmen, he’s the only decent KPF in this draft
-
That’s only because he gives out free hair cuts 😁
-
They say that next years draft is meant to be fantastic every year
-
Max had to have been playing sore for most of the 2nd half of the year, Trac too. TMAC really hurt us structurally. Our backline never really got going with so many players in and out making it hard to settle (Salem in particular). But hey that’s football. Privileged enough to see Clarrie put on a show for most of the year (now hoping he gets the Brownlow), so in that sense it hasn’t been as waste.

I might be in the minority here, but I reckon giving JVR an entire year in the VFL will do wonders for his development. Throw in a GF for some extra pressure/experience that will only help him. Sure he could’ve helped last night, but he could also have been a deer in the headlights or become severely disenfranchised with the quality of our entries only scarring him. A full pre-season in the gym will do wonders and he will be good to go from round 1 (and automatically become our best KPF - not bad for a player with 0 AFL games). A forward line of JVR, Fritsch and Kosi means we have something half decent to work with next year. Throw in TMAC for experience and as second banana, it can’t be any worse than what we dished up in attack this year. Gotta bring in another quality KPF though.

Need a new forward coach.

I could wait another 4 if it meant I got to see another one. To be honest, so long as I get to see another premiership, I don’t really care how long it takes.

Agree, disgrace is taking it too far. A wasted season, yes. Embarrassing, well that’s on the coaches refusing to change things up, imv. But never a disgrace. If anything, our season’s end only highlights to me how rusted on a supporter I am. It hurts only because I care for this footy club so much. The beauty of footy is that we get to go again in 6 months time. Luckily I am still young enough that I should still be around to see our next premiership, though hopefully it won’t take another 56 years. My heart will forever continue to bleed red + blue til the day I die. MFC forever.

Would be interesting to see what the outcome would be if every club listed the same top 3 draft prospects.

Swans. They deserve it, but also the good old theatrics of the Lions with their constant complaining whilst being serial offenders themselves sees my disdain for them grow each week. They are a bunch of sooks, lead by their captain and coach.
