  1. With the de-listing of Neaves, it means we will be going after a ruckman during trade week or early in the draft.
  2. Now that's an idea!!! Imagine if we had pick 4, 6-10 through trading one of our "big names" and pick 12ish. We could possibly pick up Ebert/Palmer, Henderson/Rance and McEvoy/Bellchambers all in the one draft. That would be quite a coup
  3. Let Carlton sign him for $1m+ a season for a 4 year contract, then realise half-way through next year when his groin is totally playing up that he wasn't worth it, and only that hack of a club would be so ignorant of his problems and arrogant enough to believe they could fix the problem, further riding it into the ground.
  4. Yeah a 2nd pick would be nice. Hopefully we could snare Palmer and one of Henderson and Rance. I would prefer we take Henderson, but CAC will know what he wants.
  5. I'd trade Bruce before i'd trade TJ. Trapper in his new role, could well get Bruce's possession numbers and he has must better disposal than Bruce. It would be interesting to see who commands a higher price come trade time! If we were to trade Bruce, then i reckon we wouldn't need to make another big trade. But if TJ were to be traded, i would still see what Bruce is worth.
  6. Too right Rhino. Sadly, i think we have seen the best of Judd. We don't need another OP case down at our club. Any club that attempts to pick him up now would be a fool. His asking price would be way too much in the first place, and now he has a serious groin problem.
  7. I think you have mis-understood me. I proposed getting Warnock for Miller and pick 21. (decent deal, as Miller adds no value to our team) The other proposal was getting Freo's pick 7 for one of Bruce or TJ. If that wasn't enough to get pick 7, CJ would be thrown in as a sweetener. I would never trade the likes of Bruce or TJ for basically an untried ruckman.
  8. Our recovery from Mad Monday was better than all of our recoveries from the previous games!!!
  9. TJ/Bruce, pick 21 and Miller & CJ for Freo's pick 7 and Warnock. That sounds even better. That's effectively TJ/Bruce and CJ for pick 7 (Trav or Bruce alone might not be worth pick 7) and Miller and pick 21 for Warnock.
  10. Yep, if we get pick 7 or 8 with our pick 4, We need to get Henderson and one of Cotchin (i can dream), Ebert or Palmer.
  11. There were also 4 trial games leading up to the Championships, in which he averaged 31 possessions. So that's 7 really good games in a row. There are around 7-8 kids that are legitimate top 5 picks. He is top 5 material.
  12. Totally agree. However, in which order we draft our KPP and quick mid-fielder will also depend on what team is before both our picks (if we can get another one), and what the MFC reckon those clubs will go for in the draft.
  13. It would be interesting to see what he's worth to other clubs, but i doubt that the MFC will trade him. He just loves the club so much.
  14. Yep it would be very interesting. Here's hoping that CAC1963 will pay us a visit before draft day!!!
  15. A 2nd year player winning the 'Bluey'!!! No doubt this would be the first time it would of happened, if Jones were to win our B&F (which he should, unless the voting is rigged).
  16. That would shut those farmers up down at Geelong!!! How i would love them to go out in straight sets. I think they'll beat the roos though.
  17. Hmm, you make a very good point!!!
  18. this is why we need to trade for another top 10 draft pick. We need a quick skillful midfielder, as well as a KPP (be it Henderson or Rance).
  19. Well if version 2 of Newton's mark is the one they vote on, it really should be his. He got so high up, it was a true speccie, he stayed up for an eternity, and he got the ride down.
  20. What's the one thing we all enjoy seeing CAC doing? It's him strutting his stuff come draft day. Trade week is more of a coaches role, no doubt with input from CC as head of List Management. CAC is more involved with bringing the youth into the club, it is his forte, and it will not be diminished with the appointment of CC. No doubt CC and Bailey will voice their opinions over who they feel should come to the club in the draft, but they are more "This is who we need CAC" to which CAC will reply "well then this is our man". For all those worried about CAC involvement now, don't be. He is an integral part of the MFC and everyone, right up to the top knows it!!!
  21. Good news. As stated in the other thread, it's great to see Bailey taking the initiative and hitting the ground running. He is no nonsense, goes after what he wants, and does his best to get it. Welcome back Chris, and kudos to you Dean Bailey.
  22. i'd do that in a heart beat. Pity brisbane won't
  23. Back in round 11, pretty much everyone knew that Carlton weren't gonna win another game. The problem is, Demetriou is in la la land thinking that no team would tank, Jeez he's a FW. But if Carlton want to push for a non-winning culture and appoint a coach who hasn't won a game yet, that's their problem. And you wonder why they keep losing, the players don't know how to win. And their supporters say, "yeah well we had picks taken from us", you cheated and got what you deserved (and should have had the '95 premiership taken away IMO). It's 4 years since they have had those picks taken away, and they still use that as an excuse. Weak, pathetic, inept. Hopefully many more spoons will head your way, you hack of a club.
  24. That's exactly what i'll be doing.
  25. I reckon that he was behind on percentage with Staker a few % ahead, however given that Newton's was the best mark, the AFL decided to rig it so that Newton was eligible (as he should have been). This just proves the flaws in the system. They should go back to the way they did it when 'Rex Hunts footy panel' was on, all those years ago. Great show with Scotty Palmer "keep on punching Sandy"
