  1. The way we're going, i'd take either. Both will help our club in a big big way.
  2. There are very few fairytales in football mate. And quite frankly, our team doesn't deserve one.
  3. Yep agree with that. And that there is always next year. Hell atleast Richmond tried. Richmond played for the guernsey this weekend, whilst we did not. It will be very interesting to see how we come out next week. Our pride is on the line (or what's left of it). Will the players even care and give a yelp? Come on boys fire up FFS.
  4. Sounds like you've given up all hope. It doesn't hurt me anymore - and i am one of the more passionate fans you could find. what does that mean???
  5. hotgod, i recommend you go down to TBO and see Sandy play as many times you can this season (even if you live in Darwin). It is the only place you will find joy in football this year.
  6. Yep agree, totally agree. Atleast this years trading period the mfc will be very active (if they wake up from their self-deceit) and of course, if any team is game to recruit any players. No more of this Yoga crap Bodan or whatever his name is promotes, the MFC need to go back to the basics of football. post-season trade and draft time is fast becoming the thing i'm waiting for. Not our first win.
  7. If the MFC gave a damn about their supporters, they would make the hard decisions. We have too many player's along for the ride, and what's amazing is most of these players are senior player's. Get 'em out very soon, including the coach. Sure jump down my throat if you like, but a successful season is one that wins you the flag. I ain't gonna settle for finishing 5-8th anymore. If it takes doing a St Kilda, Hawthorn & Western Bulldogs to make us a genuine premiership contender, so be it. I, like most of the MFC faithful are sick and tired of this cr@p.
  8. Totally agree, trade them whilst they still have some trade value.
  9. Juice chased hard all day, great effort for a big man. Almost took an absolute hanger, then winded himself big time. Pickett played a good game Ezra was a little quiet Frawley got a bit of the ball Robbo killed his opponent Biz held his own, at times very frustrating i thought Wheaters played an ok game, some like Biz a bit frustrating at times. Chad was fantastic as always, but Robbo was BOG. Great first quarter goal. Kicked our opening 3 i think.
  10. That Half-forward line looks very suspect
  11. I would trade Bruce, if a decent trade was up for grabs in which we benefit. Sure, he gets a lot of possies, but many are ineffective. His disposal has gotten gradually worse and his decision-making even more so. The fact that many were considering him to become next captain hsows how far he has slipped. No way would Bruce IMO be a good choice as captain. There are only two or three players in our team that can turn a game on its head. Neitz, McLean and to a lesser extent TJ. Hopefully a few of the younger blokes can enhance that number. So getting back to the start, yes i would trade Bruce for someone that improves our team.
  12. Moloney out with a groin problem That's not good news at all. Poor bloke, i hope his OP doesn't flare up again.
  13. why not? Give Fergy a decent run and allow him to string a few together rather than play him one week, then drop him back to Sandy. Give him a chance to show what he can do. At season's end we have a better idea whether he can help our list going forward. I don't think he can help, but he needs a decent go.
  14. Throwing in Dutchy and Wheeters is surely a bit too rich!!!
  15. Who would you prefer as coach, Sheeds or Malthouse? even though he ain't out of contract. tis interesting
  16. The emergence of Dunn and Bate as possible CHF, i would still go for Pavlich, even though our odds for the flag are better than our chances of getting him. As stated he is so versatile, plus with Neita on his last legs, it makes more sense. Ha what am i kidding, we'll get Judd through the PSD, and then we'll trade Freo our first 2 draft picks and 1 Brad Miller to get Pavlich over to the Red and Blue. Yep, start engraving the '08 cup as Melbourne.
  17. where's Norm when you need him? he'd end the drought (of premierships that is)
  18. Apart from the fact that we already have around 27,000 payed up members. Sure, the 16,000 that turned up on the week end was a poor effort, but suggesting we relocate when we almost, if not already have record membership is a joke.
  19. where to??????? how bout the gym to put on some muscle. No wonder the guy has calf problems, he is skin and bone.
  20. Warnock made quite a few mistakes today. But i liked him taking on a couple of port players then kicking a goal after we stuffed around with the ball. Plus Belly's pressure and determination to stop Ebert (or whoever) kicking the easiest of goals and then picking it up and clearing it was good. Petterd should get the bloody NAB rising star nomination for the round - 2 weeks of domination for a new kid on the block. Johno's lunge in the centre during the fourth then handing it off to yze (i think) - he definately turned his form around from last week. Yze - got plenty of the ball and since going to Sandy has definately not discraced. Dunny - For taking the meaning being accountable for your man to another level, when he followed Chad Cornes over to where Kane Cornes was being put on the stretcher. Quite a few mfc players should take a hard look at what accountability means. Doggy Brown - For taking on the opposition and having a crack, backing himself. Sure disposal wasn't always fantastic, but he rebounded pretty well.
  21. I'd be sending Bruce to Sandy before Bate.
  22. I can't believe some of the posts here. Bate had a bloody good game today. he presented and the footy stuck in his hands every time. Was no where near our worst. Going on what he did today, i'd be sending Frosty back to Sandy........... sorry Zeb's.
