  1. I know we don't look at the Wiz as kindly as we used to, but surely he would have gone close to capturing your imagination Y_M.
  2. Very upset by this. Not at CAC, but moreso Richmond and their poaching tactics  Oh well, hopefully karma gets back at them through us poaching Cotchin. But as said earlier, it ain't the drafting but developing that counts. Something that Wallet is unable to do, as he's too busy trying to get a tan and watching himself on TV.
  3. Don't worry about Rance. Hurley's up for grabs next year, lets just hope he slips :D
  4. What's up with that? I thought that the parents were moving to Victoria coz all 3 boys are now in Melbourne.
  5. Well apparently people can be expected to grow until 21-22 (which i find hard to believe as i haven't grown much in 4 years and i'm 20!) This really wasn't the draft for KPP's. Last year was the KPP draft.
  6. Very surprised about Gourdis not getting drafted. What's the rookie draft order? is there one, or? Coz i wouldn't mind getting him rookied
  7. ROFLMAO. One of the chopper skits on the 'Ronnie Johns Half Hour' had him giving the weather report. He had the Sydney harbor bridge placed between Victoria and Tassie, so he could pay Neville Bartos a visit. He then tells Perth that there ain't no point giving them a forecast, as the weather would have changed in 3 hours time when they hear the report, he further tells them to keep on moving west into the Indian Ocean. How true it is.
  8. depending on how the draft unfolds, i would say that the best available would be a KPP at 14 with hopefully one of Rance, Henderson, Grant, Myers, Pears or Gourdis available.
  9. Hey, my Birthday is on the 23rd. Nothing bad has happened to me!
  10. I remember when Farmer was first at the club, and for a few seasons after, he would continually go walk-about at seasons end, and we'd have to find him and convince him to come back. I think he first played for us in '95. It wasn't until '98 that he started to really focus on his career at the club. Sampi is obviously similar, in that he does go wandering. If he is picked in the PSD, hopefully he realises that second chances at AFL level are few and far between and is fully committed. He is still only 23, and at his best is more mercurial than Steve Johnson. He would be a very handy acquisition to our forward line, if he is committed to playing footy.
  11. Great News!!! Still fondly remember when he kicked the winning goal against Adelaide at AAMI with 4 or so seconds to go. Fantastic bloke.
  12. Yeah, i'd just be happy with Palmer, Rance and Rioli !!!
  13. Palmer and Rance i hope.
  14. If we had the chance to pick up either Morton or Palmer, who would we prefer??? We need a quick mid-fielder, one that provides flair and is a match-winner. Something Palmer is in spades. For me it's Palmer. If Cotchin is gone by pick 4 (no doubt he will be), then maybe the footy gods might shine on us, and let Rance slip though to pick 14.
  15. Nah, Melbourne will be training on Gosch's Paddock, where Colling#$@% currently train. Our Administration will be based in the new stadium, along with our gym, recovery rooms, pool, etc, etc. We will use our new stadium facilities like Colling#@%$ uses the lexus centre, and we'll train on Gosch's Paddock. No doubt we will train on the ground for some things though.
  16. well this latest incident will have done no favours with West Coast and their culture. No doubt it would have had some effect on the Cotchin family, whether that be enough to influence West Coast to not draft this kid, i highly doubt it. Still, one can dream
  17. Put him in the forward pocket. He has the best lead in the club and his kicking is fantastic. That's where he would hurt the opposition the most. Plus given he is a leader, he would no doubt chase his opponent, something that is vanishing from our forward line. Some forward pressure is much needed, he can provide it. If there's trouble in the middle, put him there for 5 minutes.
  18. That's if he is still around, which i don't think he will be. Saints are showing particular interest in him at pick #9
  19. ROF LMAO
  20. Compared to the King + Gardiner for pick 90, it's an absolute dream. Saints did well this trade week, they know that their window, whilst still open rather wide, is starting to close. And have recruited to help get instant success. Melbourne on the other hand, realise that our time is not now, but hopefully in another 2-3 years with all our young players coming to fruition. At the start of the week, we wanted another first round draft pick and we got it. To me it's no surprise TJ got traded, as one of the questions during the coaching interview process was "would you trade Trapper?" Pick 4,14,21 and pick 3 in the PSD. I'm happy. Lets go get some great youth!!!
  21. I'd be happy with just the Miller for pick 11 bit. We might have to throw in our 4th rounder though to get it over the line
  22. I agree Deanox, if we could get a second rounder for Miller and get McKinley across for maybe TJ, then it would cap off our week nicely. I still see value with retaining Frosty, but is that value greater than a second round pick?
  23. Yep i like your thinking 'Show Stopper' Here's hoping we might get McKinley tomorrow, give em Ferguson
  24. well if we were loading up for Judd, i suppose we have some space in ours too.
  25. Bruce would want to put in a rather good season next year, coz his head might be on the chopping block in 12 months time.
