  1. Well the 3 you want to keep don't get me excited. 2 can't get on the park and the other has stagnated big time.
  2. Yze, between 2000-02 was one of the best players in the AFL. White changed the role ruckmen play and was the catalyst of the modern ruckman. The implementation of the circle rule shows how far Jeff was ahead of the field. Heroes of the MFC.
  3. I love your enthusiasm, SD, but unfortunately, until our supporters decide to show up to games in the bad times, we won't be heading to Powerhouse status any time soon (by soon i mean the next 30-50 years). How many people were at the game last week? 18,000 Of those 18k, at least 1/4 of that would have been weagles fans. Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic. This was a game we were guaranteed of winning too. The majority of Melbourne fans, supporters and even members are fickle. Plain and simple. Until such time someone sticks rockets up their asses, we will remain a small club, that will be continually looked upon as weak and doomed to perish. I truly loathe the fickle, bandwagon supporters of the MFC. Don't have time for them. Never will.
  4. If Watts wasn't leading up the ground and staying around the goals, i wouldn't be surprised if Hurley beat him. Hurley's 1 year older, has had 2 years playing for Vic Metro and is very solidly built. As opposed to Watts, who is a year younger, raw, relatively new to the game and quite light in his frame.
  5. It's about time we got ruthless. We've been the 'nice club' and easy to deal with in recent times. Where's that got us? Don't accept mediocrity Demons, leave that to Harvey and his wannabes.
  6. Yes, but he kicked his 100th in the PF against port. I hope Fevola gets stranded on 99. As for Buddy, they won't rest him, he will just make sure he only kicks 5 so that he is pretty much guaranteed to get his 100th in Melbourne in front of a big home crowd.
  7. I disagree with 'Jones - Mostly well held' He got 30 disposals today, whilst they weren't the most effective possies, 30 disposals in anyone's language is not 'well held'
  8. Going after Johns in the PSD? i wouldn't waste pick 1000 on him. Anyone remotely thinking of having him at Melbourne should check themselves into a mental institution, immediately.
  9. Don't worry about that, Watts is all class. If you want aggression, Lewis Johnston from SA shows a fair bit, and he would hopefully be there abouts with our PP. He'd provide that X-Factor too in our forward line. I wouldn't mind seeing a forward line that read: Wona - Watts - Johnston Maric - Miller - Davey With Bate and Sylvia chipping in as well.
  10. Wouldn't mind that, but i wouldn't mind getting Mitch Robinson with pick 19.
  11. Yep, i'd prefer the club to go under before it would merge or re-locate. If Melbourne were to die (god forbid), i know i wouldn't follow another AFL team. While i love the game, i will only ever support one team. I would probably support Sandy, through the strong alliance that was formed, or maybe even Prahran should it ever return to the VFA.
  12. I thought the backline were pretty good at getting the ball out yesterday. Sure, we stuffed up a few times, through the likes of Bell, but i thought we held up rather well (even though we conceded 20+ goals). He who must not be named had a rare day out. I'm just glad that we tried throughout the entire match (although it would've been nice to beat the scum and shut their whinging fans up).
  13. Jamar had 28 hitouts, compared to that of 20 total hitouts to the scum. So long as the majority of these hitouts go to advantage and he's winning the ruck contest, there is no reason to drop him. With PJ in hot form, who would also be able to pinch hit in the ruck as well. My old man went to the 150 celebration dinner a month or so ago and spoke to Jamar for a while. Jamar said that he has pretty much lost all confidence at set shots at goal, probably the reason for not going back 10 metres out and slotting it through. It is still no excuse IMO, if you can't kick a goal from there you can't kick 'em anywhere. But that's the reason for his shocking mistake. Which to me is sad, as i believe he has a decent kick for a big man and he can take a pack mark in the forward line too. Confidence is what is needed. If he gets that up and continues to impress in the ruck, then he deserves his spot in the team as much as anyone.
  14. You give Sylvia a 7 and JMAC and 8 That's your opinion, and okay, but to me i thought Sylvia played a better game than Junior. He had more influence. but that's MO.
  15. Agree. His disposal needs some serious work, but the kid knows where to put himself. He is quite capable of racking up the possies. Puts himself in the right position most of the time. disposal needs work, but hey, he's got time. As for Daniel Bell
  16. Played a very decent game today. Needs to back it up for the remainder of the season.
  17. Exactly. There were 46,000 at the game today. 40,000 of which would have been Scum supporters. Our fans and even supporters are woeful. A weak, pathetic effort from the so called faithful of the MFC. Stuff the umpires and their extremely poor form, the insipid performance today was from our supporters.
  18. This will come against the Weagles.
  19. C - Green VC - Miller DVC - McLean
  20. Robinson played for Tassie in the Carnival, and has played some games for the Tassie Devils in the VFL this year. He won the Hunter-Harrison medal for best division 2 player. Johnston played for SA in the championships and plays for North Adelaide and is also a member of the AIS along with Jack Watts. Johnston is a basketball convert and is 192cm, has a good strong grab and can kick the ball a fair way too.
  21. We are screaming out for some quality KPF's and a bit of pace too. R1 - Jack Watts Priority - Mitch Robinson / Lewis Johnston R2 - Mitch Robinson / Lewis Johnston Both Watts and Johnston have huge upside, moreso for Watts. Johnston had belief issues but these are starting/have been sorted out. Once he realises he belongs, he will dominate around CHF. Robinson may be 18, turning 19 this year, but he has got real pace, can rack up possessions, as well as contested possessions, doesn't mind being in the thick of things and loves to tackle. He would have the quickest impact on the team, given he is almost 1.5 years older than the others and has a decent sized body. If we draft these three, we would have done very well IMO. Hopefully we will get Warnock and maybe someone decent through the PSD, if Warnock is not taken there.
  22. If the deal is right then i would. No one at the MFC is 'Untouchable'. Bar Aussie
  23. The game on the weekend, and several this year, has shown that the game has well and truly past Junior by. However if he's on the list for another year to help the youth develop, rather than on football ability, then to me it's a pass mark, just. But i would prefer him on the team than one C. Bruce. Lets see what happens with him come trade week.
  24. It's what i'll be doing this week!!! Give it to those Essendon d!ck$
  25. We zoned in defence and the roos just kicked in between our players. A 2 year old side could get out of our forward line.
