Agree completely. MJ is a year behind JVR on age and at least at least another year (I’d say 1-2) behind on him physically. Add those together and he’s a good 2-3 years behind JVR at the moment. He needs time to not only adjust to the speed but the physical side too. I don’t expect MJ to really be impacting games consistently for another 4/5 years

Yes he’s a good outside footballer, but he’s not a Goody type to me. Particularly given SG values contest and defence

I don’t think he was too fat, I reckon he was too muscular for the position he played. Like Trac was earlier in his career, in order for him to become the midfielder he is now he had to shed some muscle mass.

Given the lack of meat on his frame this year, I view MJ as more of a player entering his first year in 2024. He’s just been on a very long pre-season throughout 2023.

If they did, I’d have a wee bit of fun in taking it down. Good old neighbourhood rivalry. Moved in to our new home in a very quiet neighbourhood on September 22nd, 2021. Reckon the area hadn’t been as noisy (certainly hasn’t since) as it was on the 25th 😝. First there was lots of yelling in delight, followed by lots of cussing, before 45 minutes of breaking the sound barrier that was the euphoria of the 3rd and 4th quarters.
