  1. I haven’t been his biggest fan this year, but Max was immense tonight. A pity that most didn’t follow the example that he led by. The forward line was disappointing all night, as was the delivery into it. As for TMAC - I’m sorry, but even a 1-legged Melky would’ve done better tonight. And I have no idea what we see in Smith, he is well entrenched in our bottom 6 and yet he manages to hang around on the list (I’m sure he’s a great guy and all, but he is not an AFL quality player). Kozzie just needs to be told to go out and have fun playing footy, his heads all at sea.
  2. It’s a shame that Max couldn’t make FF his own. Some of his marks tonight were top-shelf, he just couldn’t kick it to himself 50m down the field.
  3. Well all is not lost just yet hbt. Sure the flame dimmed a lot tonight, but it still flickers.
  4. The 21 premiership still provides me with heaps of comfort and masks the hurt, otherwise I’d be right there with you. I only ever needed to see one, I’d love to see more, but I only ever needed to see one. The euphoria of that night trumps all the hurt losing could ever give me.
  5. 100%. He just blindly believes that if we do all the ‘other’ things right, the score will take care of itself. I love the heart our boys show, but [censored] me we make it hard work to score goals. Goody needs to wake up and realise that kicking goals is what wins games, not prevention of stopping opposition goals. We need to look to score. Our attacking nature of 2018 is all but extinguished. We need to get some of it back. Goody has gone way too defensive-minded. I want to see excitement and flare thrown in to the mix.
  6. Grundy could’ve been useful tonight. Surely he’s gotta play next week.
  7. If I could’ve both ‘laughed’ and ‘loved’ that post, I would’ve dazz
  8. Out: Stafford In: Anyone with half a clue about forward line entries.
  9. Watch Maynard get a fine and Roo 4+
  10. I had the same feeling against the Swans this time last year. We all know how that turned out
  11. Would be happy for neither the Mihocek or Elliot legs to get up Supe
  12. Actually I wager that he’s on a plane coming over east to watch the game live.
  13. Would love Watson. His impact would be felt immediately.
  14. Remind me again how many premierships FIGJAM won as player or coach? Oh that’s right 0. Just like the amount of clue he has.
  15. Good, but not elite
  16. Who would be first choice to cover him? Hibberd, McVee.
  17. Great, another forward dealing with foot injuries.
  18. Agree completely. MJ is a year behind JVR on age and at least at least another year (I’d say 1-2) behind on him physically. Add those together and he’s a good 2-3 years behind JVR at the moment. He needs time to not only adjust to the speed but the physical side too. I don’t expect MJ to really be impacting games consistently for another 4/5 years
  19. Yes he’s a good outside footballer, but he’s not a Goody type to me. Particularly given SG values contest and defence
  20. 😆 yep he’s all arms and legs at the moment.
  21. I don’t think he was too fat, I reckon he was too muscular for the position he played. Like Trac was earlier in his career, in order for him to become the midfielder he is now he had to shed some muscle mass.
  22. Given the lack of meat on his frame this year, I view MJ as more of a player entering his first year in 2024. He’s just been on a very long pre-season throughout 2023.
  23. Perkins is a soft footballer. Pass. In fact, pass on any peptide player (except maybe 2m Peter)
  24. Agree. He’s one that to me always seemed like he was well short of having a good tank.
