  1. if the MFC had picks 4,5 and 9 in the draft, i would start to consider keeping all 3. However, if we were to keep pick 5 and get Rance, then all Judd has effectively cost us is pick 4 and Robbo. I'd be pretty stoked if that were the case.
  2. I wouldn't be able to stop laughing in my sleep if it were Bruce + 4.
  3. I think Warnie is just trying to add more to the speculation, and again sent in to the wrong mobile.
  4. Even if we don't land Judd, we would still have some good picks in the draft (we should still try and off-load Robbo to the dogs for their #5 pick), hell if it were me, i'd try and get another good pick after that as well (i don't think our senior group of players will win us a flag, better to face that reality now than in another 3 years time). At least we would have some quality kids coming into our group of youngsters, further strengthening our list for an assault when they start to get more experience.
  5. How would i like to see it done? Here's what i see, Chris lights the filth guernsey on fire with a lighter, then uses that guernsey to light up a cigar he has, takes a few puffs (don't inhale of course) blows the smoke into Eddie's face, and says "Damn that's satisfying". All of this whilst he proudly wears the #3 Melbourne jumper on his back. Then he turns around and walks off laughing and chanting 'It's a grand old flag', leaving Eddie in tears (at which time Buckley comes in and picks Eddie off the ground and consoles him)
  6. Whilst Blake isn't a dud, he ain't far off it. His mid-fielder's around him make him seem that much better than what he actually is.
  7. We all know that Judd's dream was to one day play for the MFC. Here is that opportunity, and will be his only opportunity IMO. Is he gonna throw away his life's dream to go and play for the filth? I mean, throwing away your dream to play for another club is one thing, but to throw away that dream for the Filth would be beyond contemplation. Surely he won't do it?
  8. i don't think i could stand watching Judd running around in a Filth jumper. How's that hey, Collingwood finish 3rd and yet they are still able to get Judd.
  9. LOL, oh how you are such a visionary. You should phone the weagles under the name of 'anonymous' and tell them that. It would give them quite a headache. Do they try and get a forward to help fill their only flaw, or do they execute your plan Jerry, and drive the filth into the dirt where they belong.
  10. Yep, if it ain't Melbourne i would prefer no-one win it. But since that can't happen, i don't want any vic club to win it either.
  11. What is it with these Scandinavian blokes??? First Swede's and now the Dutch. As said by Nigel Powers "There are only 2 things i can't stand. People taking credit for other people's work, and the Dutch"
  12. Point taken youami, however, Jonathon Brown (who is one of the best players in the comp) was named AA for the first time this year. He was already considered a champion player years before he received AA. Don't look too hard into the AA, as it ain't the most prestigious title a player or team can have. A player is awarded AA, woop dee doo. I'm pretty sure they would much rather a Norm Smith Medal or a premiership medallion.
  13. LOL, funny how 'mr. MFC' pretty much threw the MFC offer of 2 years (a very reasonable offer for him) back in their face. He should realise that if Jones is offered and accepted a 2-year deal, he should really be on a 1/2 year, performance based contract. Selfish on the field, and now showing that he's selfish off it. I have no time for those types of players
  14. I'd do that in a heart-beat. We are giving them Robbo and pick 21, and Miller (who virtually does and adds nothing to our team)
  15. If we miss out on Judd, but are able to gain another top 10 pick through trading whoever (Robbo, Trapper , etc) and it means we got 2 good young kids, i'll still be very happy. More so than if we give up too much for Judd.
  16. If it takes more than this, i would be starting to consider not trading for Judd, unless the player they also want with their 2 top 10 picks is a player like CJ, but not one of our important players, like Johnstone. Sure Judd is a great player, probably the best in the league, but if we have to give up 2 top 10 draft picks and a good player, why do that when we could use those 2 draft picks to get very good players like a CHB and CHF. Then there's the good player we need to give up, who if we really wanted to could get us another high draft pick for a fast midfielder (Palmer) If we're going to need to give up another midfielder for him, it compares to getting another young midfielder. We would have a CHB, CHF and quick mid, compared to a great quick midfielder (who has been getting injured more frequently).
  17. LOL, he is El Crappo. Only slightly above Miller. Well if our aim is to recruit a complete dud, then he's our man. (PS - we need to get rid of all our 'Z' grade players, not recruit more of them) We would be getting away with daylight robbery. I like it !!!
  18. If we still have pick 4, that means we wont be getting Judd. With that in mind, why not trade for another first rounder, and we can then draft both Henderson and Rance, set up our spine for years.
  19. Yep, the result may have been very different last week, if the Weagles had only 1 of Judd, Cousins or Kerr.
  20. Who did Hutchy reckon will get the role as MFC coach??? First it was Connolly, then it was Sheedy.......... Hutchy knows squat, he's just trying to make headlines and do his job.
  21. Don't interstate teams get a bit more in their cap??? sure it wouldn't be much more, or is that just for Brissie and the swans???
  22. Well when you consider that we are the odd club out of the 4, that there is some sentimentality there from Judd, or we wouldn't be considered in his 4 teams. But i agree, a 0/10 or 10/10 for the team he supported is a bit rich, it counts for something, but not 10 points. If Melbourne were to get 10/10 in that category, then the rest would have to have atleast 5-6 points down, as they are a Vic club. I'm hoping that, if Judd chooses the filth then the dees, the weagles will try and trade with us, as we have superior picks, and i don't think the weagles would want to trade with the filth, when they could with us.
  23. Sure it would be great if Judd came to the club, but at what cost??? I'm not talking about trade-wise, but what effect will his $$$ amount have on the rest on the playing list. i don't want to see the MFC all of a sudden have salary cap problems, just to fit Judd into our team.
