I'd rather just pay out his contract if it's Evans. There's no point keeping him on the list, he is a clogger (harsh, but realistic). Sure it's a lottery at Pick 40, but why not try our luck since we don't know what 'player 40' is capable of yet, we know what Evans brings ... and it's not much at all.

Putting JT on the Rookie list, might make some sense, but even if he stays on the main list next year we'll be able to put him on the LTI list and be able to promote a rookie to play senior footy all the same (probably for the entire year).

Maybe give him the role of Director of Development. Allison is currently 'Head of Development', similar to a 'Head Coach', why can't we have a 'Director of Development' like 'Director of Coaching'? Sure it might be going a little over the top, but to keep Paul Roos involved in the football department after he relinquishes the coaching position, i would deem it perfectly justifiable.

Yes, because Cameron Schwab is responsible for Jack Trengove's injury. FMD He was responsible for a lot of negligent and poor overseeing in his time, but he is not responsible for this one. I refuse to believe that Trengove went through all of 2012 - 2014 with a fractured/injured foot. It may excuse his 2014 absence, but not his very poor form for the 2 years prior. The blame for Trengove's 2012 & 2013 is the coaching group headed by MN. Schwab bashing is absolutely justifiable, but let's keep it in the areas where he did screw us over. He is physical, has a presence and he leads to the right spots at the right time. His only issue is his goal kicking, which does need work (but which KPF has had their own goal kicking issues?)

Not Rubbish at all. I even remember the radio interview they did with him on draft night after being picked up by us. He said he was surprised to hear his name called so early, given that his manager told him it was looking like he would get picked from 2nd round onwards.

going by that footage, his kicking leaves a bit to be desired. Plus he hasn't had many more opportunities to improve on it, given his knee reco (so i wouldn't have that he would have improved his kicking all that much). He definitely likes to run and rebound, needs to clean up his kicking and decision making, though.

The only question i have, if this is the case, is why would we be after McCartin instead of Wright? McCartin offers something similar to Hogan, whereas Wright can also be effective in the ruck.
