First I heard of it BBP. Then again, I rely on others in the know to deliver the scoops on here.

2018 was the best ride we have had since 2000. It ended poorly yes, but from Kenty’s Goal at Domain to our run in September, it was as sweet as I hoped it would be (especially enjoying it with 60000 and 50000 long suffering Dees supporters at the EF & SF respectively). Success is never guaranteed, nor should we ever foolishly believe it to just happen expectedly. But our best shot at a flag for 55+ years is upon us and I just need to witness one in my lifetime. It may not happen next year, but I am the most optimistic I have ever been in my 25 years of following this club that the next few years will bring us what we all crave. All aboard!!!

Here’s hoping for a couple of father-sons/daughters in a couple of decades time!

They’ve got a very good coach in Beau Vernon. Took them to the West Gippsland premiership last year, and Leongatha to the flag in the Gippsland League the year prior.

I really can't see what the big problem is with these NIMBYS, etc, being against such a development. The building would be over the rail line (virtually empty/useless space). Will it rob them of their precious views of trains going by? Secondly, the oval. It would provide a flat bit of land making the area even more accessible and community friendly. It all sounds like people who want to have the best, but not let others have it. The age of self-entitlement really has known no greater time.

Well earned recognition for Nev to be awarded life membership. He's not given his due kudos by the rest of the competition, but Dees members know his true value. One of the best role models this club has had in a very long time, up there with big Jim!

Wow, for this price i'd have thought the MCC should be able to follow the AFL's lead and have a club support option with money going to said club and being included in the membership numbers too.

This is what i don't get with these NIMBY's. They hide behind their mantra of protecting the local parkland, yet low and behold, there is this massive structure (MCG) smack bang in the middle of it. How space for another open oval would detract from Yarra Park is completely beyond me. If anything, it would smarten the place up, providing an accessible oval for local residents to use outside of training times. I guess our fall back position could be just training on the G ?

It appears we will be getting a new sponsor on-board, and with KLV saying that iSelect aren't renewing, maybe they were priced out of the market, which can only be a good thing $$ wise. The only problem with all that Deemania, is that Sean was a foreigner as such, his developmental ceiling was huge due to not being exposed to the game. Frost on the other hand has. I thought Frosty was fantastic for us in the back half of the year, with some inspiring runs and amazing athleticism. He offers our backline something it doesn't have.......Pace.
