We are due for a Rebuild.
OMAC out. Done! But seriously, i know he i young and inexperienced, but Weideman in the space of less than a year has gone from a promising young KPP to worrying to disaster. He is next to useless atm in the forward line. Sure some of that has to do with midfield problems, but the majority of it has to do with him being a pretty clueless footballer. I know he's recently re-signed, but would it be beyond the realms of possibility that he may be put up as trade bait? Or would he be better served with bringing in a #1 forward (Brown) and for TMAC to take #2 & Weid #3 defender?

Round 15 Non MFC Games
On tonight's display, i am now convinced that umpires deliberately go out to influence games a particular way (via AFL directive). So long as the competition is churning out money, Gil and his cronies couldn't give a hoot about the sanctity of the game.

The Mystery of Aaron Vandenberg
Relax. Misson is gone at years end, watch AVB make a miraculous recovery and play all 22 (hopefully 25) games next year!

Ken Hinkley - coach of the year?
Bulltish, Goody is coach of the year imo ---------------------------------------------------------> ?

Will Gould (Drafted by Sydney)
Would you say that as a result, this draft is not as talented/deep as last years DD?

Michael Walters Acting
tried to hit Viney when he wasn't looking, only to realise he was and shat himself!

Coburg v Casey Demons - Round 12
Agree FD. We chose to draft him 6 months in advance, which will help his development no end. Develop him properly for the rest of the year, and we're looking at almost a second year player on the list instead of a newbie.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
He doesn't go to ground and he places himself in and around packs and at the fall of the ball. Streets ahead of Spargo in that sense, and at this early stage (without an AFL pre-season no less) he seems to be more consistent in his efforts than Garlett. A lock as a small forward for the next 10 years in his current state, skys the limit with further development.

Oscar McDonald
Should be made to work extremely hard to find his way back into the team. I'd even propose not playing him for the rest of the year to really create a hunger in him over pre-season to force his way back in. Clean up the sub-standard disposal, develop more aggression instead of remaining passive, and for the love of god kick the lackadaisical attitude to the curb. No he's never going to have the footy sense of a Lever, or the disposal and aggression of a May, but a C-class player giving 100% effort is more valuable to a team than an A-grader turning in half arsed performances.

Thanks for clearing that up Tony!

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
The Petty selection is one in maximising development. Season’s over, may as well give it to young player’s who show potential, as opposed to bringing in duds and geriatrics.

What is left to look forward to in 2019
Easy fix, don’t have any friends!

AFL Coaches IQ Index
Not too sure when it comes to coaches, but surely we'd be anchored near the bottom if we're measuring playing list IQ levels.

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
i reckon we should throw the kitchen sink at Buttifant. Entice him back to footy.

Sam Weideman Re-signs Until 2021
Nor will it 'just happen' for the rest of the team. This season is an example of getting way ahead of ourselves (Footy Department included).

Sam Weideman Re-signs Until 2021
Exactly cr. It wasn't entirely Sam's fault we lost on Saturday, he was just one of a number of players who did not convert. He was just the last who missed. I collectively blame the team, not Sam alone, for last weekend's lost. Happy to have him sign on for another 2 years, regardless of the miss. Whether we won or lost wouldn't have made much difference to our season outcome, as it's already a lost year.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
I thought there were drainage issues with this location? Or maybe i just have NFI.

The Six Figure Hunt for a New AFL Logo
Forget it Poita, the AFL couldn't give a [censored] about grassroots football clubs.

Max Gawn's season
Agree both are clearly head and shoulders above the rest. Purely on ruckwork, i'd rate Gawn as the better of the 2, but Grundy is virtually another midfielder around the ground such is his versatility and workrate.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Spargo also seems to not understand the concept of a small forwards role of crumbing packs. Once it hits the deck that's where he simply has to be. A very limited footballer, compounded by the fact he only has one suitable position given his lack of height or speed.
-
Max Gawn's season
Poor Max is dominating hit-outs, yet our mids aren't taking advantage of it. Opposition mids are just roving Gawny's taps now. Need much better chemistry between our ruckman and mids

Time to go Oscar!
Yes he is a liability, but at the moment, he is not the only one. But surely he is going to walk the plank come years end.

AFL fixing the problem.
Gil is the worst CEO in the entirety of the AFL. His ineptitude is so great, it almost makes you laugh, save for all the damage he has caused by ignoring grassroots football during his entire tenure.
