Yep, the draft used to be somewhat enjoyable, what they have turned it into is a disgraceful, abysmal, farcical circus. Has all the stench and hallmarks of Gill McLachlan ineptitude.

Ian Hill is available, he provides a lot of run and spark, so too is Bailey Williams and Jack Bytel. We've been pushed out to 26 & 31 for the moment, but that might change with likely bids on Will Kelly, Kieren Briggs and Rhylee West.

According to the MFC website, clubs were told by the AFL that they had to use their entire 5 minute time allocation before selecting first round picks tonight. The rest of the draft (commencing at noon tomorrow) the picks can be announced as fast as the clubs want to announce them. Indication again that the AFL has NFI.

Probably because we have several inside midfielders on our list. If he has come back to full fitness, i wouldn't hesitate to draft him. After all, we did lose Tyson and Jones is getting long in the tooth and you can never have too much quality. Need to keep the midfield age profile well spread too.

If we were able to also draft a fully fit Bytel as well, that would definitely help our midfield, would be happy with Bailey Williams with our second pick as well.

Does anyone think we might package up picks 23 & 28 for an early-mid teens pick during tomorrow nights draft?

This is what i don't get with these NIMBY's. They hide behind their mantra of protecting the local parkland, yet low and behold, there is this massive structure (MCG) smack bang in the middle of it. How space for another open oval would detract from Yarra Park is completely beyond me. If anything, it would smarten the place up, providing an accessible oval for local residents to use outside of training times. I guess our fall back position could be just training on the G ?

I rate Corey a fair bit higher than Josh.
