  1. Knowing our draft history, if we take JV at 3 then our second pick will be a flop or if we take JV with our second pick then pick no 3 be injury prone a la 4-6 Smith.
  2. Well what would happen if toms knee disintegrated permanently. That would be the GWS salary cap in chaos for the next 5 years.
  3. I believe that Kevin is behind this as he doesn't want the MFC to get a priority pick and they probably would have. So there is nothing like a red herring to take the AFL mind off thinking about it. Conspiracy theory no 2.
  4. Tanking is the in thing. Just now 8 doubles players at the Olympics, badminton, were disqualified for tanking.
  5. What about Sheedy trying his hardest to convince the AFL not to give us a priority pick this year? You see by bringing this up now it puts pressure on the AFL when they consider our plight. The most plausible conspiracy theory I can come up with.
  6. Is that calculus or algebra? I'm sorry but I was never any good at maths or Latin either.
  7. No not negativity but flogging dead horses and chasing rainbows (which this thread is) are not part of my make up. Actually I am more into positivity.
  8. He was cautioned a few times and then really took some ones bait and responded in a bad way which eventuated in his banning.
  9. What a waste of time and effort this has been for you guys. He is staying at Port.
  10. Mikey who is CIP'S [censored].
  11. You have just been moved to my do not read list. Geez and I thought the Thai's were stupid.
  12. Yep works fine now.
  13. Nathan Buckley was a skinny little rake at 15 years as well, but his old man was a monster. I don't think any one can tell.
  14. Nasher for your info. From Thailand; www.demonland.com comes up as 'There's nothing here.' I accessed the site from my computer's history. demonland.com does work however.
  15. Bing that post was just a puffing my chest out when it should have stayed sunken. There have been a few coincidences when a poster has posted a suggestion and the MFC have moved in the same direction and it's usually within 2-3 weeks of the post. Not suggesting that the board is the key to MFC success but there are enough lateral thinkers here to come up with something they have missed. Would not be the first time that an authority has taken up advice from lesser beings but then any instances I would quote would come from a movie.
  16. Yes you'r'e right HT. It was brag gone wrong, just big noting that's all. Deleted my sook and slapped my wrist for posting when elephant's trunk.
  17. I suggested that MFC come put with this about a month ago and there was hardly a whisper on this board only a couple of naysayers; and look at what is happening now that the MFC have publicly come out and stated it. It just goes to show that MFC do read this board and that a lot of posters react to new news and don't consider any one else's previous thoughts for future happenings. Some of you should go in to politics.
  18. After signing Neville, Mrs Jetta said 'there is a better one' and she was referring to Lewis. If we thought Nev was the pea why didn't we go after the bro?
  19. Yes indeed. if you are just trying to kick between posts your mind thinks "have a shot" rather than kicking to a target. I always picked something at the rear and passed the ball to that seat, tree, spectator or rubbish tin. My goal/behind ratio was pretty impressive. As far as running off the line to gain more power in the kick; all that does is reduce the success rate to less than 50%. Normally the ball will go in the direction you are facing or running. That's why players can pinpoint passes in general play but can't kick goals. Players are never taught goal kivling because most coaches don't know the answer. Watch early Fevola or Lloyd kicking for Goal. They both run straight at the goal without deviation. The target idea is good except the target comes down in a real match, however it teaches the player to kick at a target rather than blaze away and if they substitute some one in the crowd for the target they will have a lot more success.
  20. I miss it and as far as reopening; it won't happen IMO.
  21. Doesn't mean we have to go through with it but it would cause some deep thought. Would we have taken Scully if we knew there was a big chance he would go to gws after two years? I don't think so. Just upping the ante.
  22. That will do.
  23. I said somewhere before that we should let it be known that if gcf and gws want to bid 1 or 2 they will be stuck with him, but only for one or two years and then he comes back to us having got his development years out of the way. And a thank you very much.
