The teams should be the Indigenous, the Hipsters, the Tatts and the Manbuns.

More like an AFLX-traction.

The Melbourne Facebook page is calling it a "minor knee procedure". Relax.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
mauriesy replied to Demonland's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
It could still lead to possible inequities. You could play all the good teams at home and all the weak teams away. -
Every list rated for this year and the future

Why am I not surprised that the first response is an attack on the person, rather than analysing, even if briefly, what he says? -
According to Chris Pelchen. 2. MELBOURNE The second half of 2018 saw Melbourne emerge from the shadows to show they are a genuine force on the AFL landscape. The Dees have been "coming" for several years but a combination of shrewd trading and continued player development over the off-season has ensured they have now arrived. The addition of Gold Coast duo Steven May and Kade Kolodjashnij further strengthens their back half while allowing Tom McDonald to play as a permanent forward. Their midfield is both young and dynamic with a good balance of inside and outside players. Max Gawn, Jack Viney, Clayton Oliver, Angus Brayshaw, Christian Petracca, Christian Salem and Alex Neal-Bullen should represent the best midfield in the AFL over the next three to four years. With improved ball use and a greater sense of belief, this team has the attributes to finally win another "grand old flag". Every company has a "reverse" logo in their specifications for placement on a dark background. The circle could be either their corporate blue with a white Z, or a white circle with a blue Z as in the training guernsey. There's no rectangle integral to the Zurich logo.

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
mauriesy replied to Viney+Brayshaw+Hogan=Flag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought the whole idea of the sponsorship was to increase the visibility of a brand and improve sales to a reasonably affluent audience. Silly me. -
Has anyone watched our team since 2016?

It takes me 1½ hours to travel to the MCG from country Victoria by train. I like 1.10 starts as I don't get home too late. I play club competition golf on Saturdays, so I like Sundays for football. Each to his own I guess. Someone likes every time slot.

Werridee just likes making up teams.

Thankfully there's not 100% correlation with team performance or ladder position. Where's West Coast again? Or that team full of talent ... GWS? We beat three of the five teams above us.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AARON NIETSCHKE
mauriesy replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's fitting that someone named Neitschke has nothing. ?? -
Every player's description on the AFL draft tracker sounds like they ought to go pick 1.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - COREY WAGNER
mauriesy replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd prefer to reserve my judgement on any player like Corey and give them a chance without making instant prognostications. A few years ago we might have said that about James Harmes and Neville Jetta.,- 81 replies

I don't know. You could say we filled urgent needs with many recent recruits (e.g. Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, VDB, Viney as hard-bodied midfielders, Weideman as a KPF, Spargo as a small pressure forward, Fritsch as a HBF/wing). How good they were was a bonus.
-
Well, Richmond didn't actually "trade" for Lynch, they just got him as a FA. Hardly a matter of skill.
-
I don't see how anyone can rate trading until 1 or 2 years down the track. Until then it's pure supposition.
-
That was my point.
