  1. Agree P Man - with the sentiments of the two posts But.... to argue for the sake of arguing - I would love to stick it up the Tigers today - but at least Neeld is not taking the easy option and playing NQRs. He's actually doing right by the club by playing the youngsters and giving the next coach a real chance of succeeding.... We all know Neeld is on borrowed time
  2. I don't blame for people being angry where we are or angry at Neeld for rebuilding But I reckon Neeld has said the list he inherited in 2012 was not good enough to play his style of game, and has decided to rebuild through youth. I don't reckon every decision made by Neeld has been correct but I think we had to rebuild to build a real bright future. We could have filled in the gaps as we went - but people here already dig in the boots for bringing in experience - so it's a lose lose situation for Neeld, he needs to win games to keep his job As people have rightly pointed out this team has sooo many holes - it's gong to be a long season Good thread before we all get [censored] orf by 4pm
  3. Still better then Lucas Cook or Muscles Gysberts
  4. Not having a crack at you old dee - but to play devils advocate Do players get a chance to grow?? - 20 AFL games is probably 1/3 of the way to being AFL conditioned. Anyway food for thought - I really don't care anymore but at least we know he's on Neelds side/playing for Neeld
  5. The ol' what came first debta - chicken or the egg This club is bigger then these two blokes (Neeld and Moloney) Both can get f'ked for screwing this club over
  6. Even sadder is that f'wit David King looks like he was right
  7. haha made me laugh P Man Extreme times call for extreme measures
  8. Has been agreed to by the players association - Not the MFC's choice
  9. I have little doubt what is going to happen hardnut We (as a club) could at least do it with some dignity for once - Bailey/McLean should be recent examples of what not to do - J Mac etc, thats all I'm saying
  10. Haha enjoyed
  11. Maybe Neeldy knows he's getting fired and thinks f-u supporters It makes as much sense as all the other stuff getting around on this site
  12. The only question left RR is who will the players blame for their poor performances then?
  13. Let's not keep making mistakes by handling the Neeld issue - poorly is all I am saying.
  14. True Iv'a - I think I have been overly critical of 55. I think 55 you and I are all on the same page excpet you boys say - we shouldn't have gotten to where we are as a club now' and I am saying 'we are here how do we deal with it'. I really am angry at where this club is right now - but I don't think the club making reactional moves is correct. If the club comes out and justifies why Neeld isn't the man I will support it, especially with someone with some AFL nouse such as Jackson giving advice. I don't think there is 1 correct direction to take - it's going to be a long road back up the ladder sadly IMO based on the talent we have on the list in 2013 What I think is unfair are some of the comments on this site about Neeld - cheap shots to support peoples anger Eg - here is a stat I have purposly taken out of context to prove my point in 2012 the MFC was 0 - 7 at this stage of the season In 2013 the MFC sits at 1 - 6 Based on this stat/fact the MFC have improved from 2012 - 2013 I don't like the blind hatred on this site - We need to be looking forward how to fix this not ripping the club to shreds or we will become Fitzroy.
  15. Thats fine 55 - you call it expectations I call it dealing with reality and moving forward. Getting upset and demandin change has solved nothing for the MFC so far but [censored] it hey 55? Maybe you should clarify in your arguments you're not interested in facts and are just upset Enjoy
  16. Interesting argument 55, i think i misunderstood your argument, anyway I'll start by clarifying I'm pretty angry with where the MFC sits I do not like what I see at the club at the moment - what I don't like are unrealistic expectations, and I will try explain my point. Example 1 - your argument about Pooort You compare us to Pooort - have you even looked at the experience of the lists compared to each other? Who are our Boaks, Cornes, Hartletts, Westhoff etc and please also compare the AFL experience and quality leadership on the list to the leaders you pointed out earlier in our leadership group. Also please compare form and the availability of the talent to take the park in 2013 for us and Pooort and let me know if you think this is still a quality argument Example 2 - expectations for season 2013 AFL commentator generally say after round 4 - 6 you get a real idea of where a team is at - please clarify where you think our team is at? For mine unfortunately I think we are the equivalent of GWS - with a lot of young 40 game or less players with a handfull of leadership (which I will argue is just as inexperienced) - we have nowhere near the experience levels across the ground to be where I would love us to be I cbf trying to find when Neeld exactly said we are going to re-build – but I would really be surprised if you could argue we are not rebuilding. Bailey had 3 years (2 year rebuild) before we saw results – Neeld does not get this opportunity nor has he had a stable on of off field base to work with Lastly - taking comments made in the media and spitting them out as gospel to what the coach actually thinks are his expectations are pretty limited in my opinion (what do you really expect him to say under such pressure? You can’t even uphold comment made under duress in a court of law), especially when they are not taken in context - for example the 'hardest team to play against' line. If you really believe Neeld has had the opportunity to develop that in to this team, that will tell me all i need to know about your opinion. This is getting too long winded - I hope you get my point 55 - maybe expectation need to be reassessed by all of us
  17. Agreed rod, I follow the Cubs and I wouldn't be sure who the MFC resemble out of those 2. Both great call clubs with a rich history both have been long time losers. Go Cubbies!
  18. If James said he wanted to leave - I agree DeeZee think we would get something decent for him I really rate James - but if he wants out why fight it?
  19. Just out of interest Demonstrative - When analyising Bailey did you take in to account his 7 wins in his first 2 seasons during Bailey's mini rebuild?? I admit that Neeld hasn't proven himself yet, but if you look at what's happened while Neeld has been coach of this club off field and on field no rational thinker would agree that Neeld has had a fair crack. I personally think the majority just want to place the blame on Neeld and be done with it. I also think doing that won't solve any immediate issues at this club. I am glad someone as savy as Jackson has stepping in as CEO
  20. Unite this club and I will follow you anywhere Roost it!!
  21. I agree with this The MFC can't keep burning all it's bridges - afterall fallouts with old employees and staff have arguably got us to where we are today. (Brock/Bailey - Gardner etc) This club needs Unity and everyone pulling in the same direction - not blame and scape goating. I want a leader I can follow, the club can follow. I reckon right now more then ever this club needs a leader. If we keep ripping this club to shreads there could be nothing left PS: Yes I am very angry with the state of the club
  22. Didn't read the article - but I'd imagine we would take anyone at the moment. Smashed N Jones on the weekened and a player who can win his own ball is a novelty on our list
  23. Please point out where I've said these results are acceptable? Also David Parkin today said our current situation is not Neelds fault, pretty respected opinion right there, come back to me when you have some facts and not a gut feel
  24. Out of that leadership group only 1 player has played more then 150 games - what in your opinion exactly qualifies this as a capable leadership group compared to other clubs?? I don't think any group of players has gone through what this club has been through in the last 18 - 24 months. I actually find it amusing you can make that statement and be serious about it. If you honsetly think that - which you clearly do 55 - then i think you'll get a rude awakening this time next year when we will probably be in the same spot (which i think is likely if we don't recruite well in Sep 13) or is it excusable the performance given by the playing group at the moment because of their feud with the coach? My question back to you is - how long does the new coach have to fix this rabble?? should we be calling for his sacking already??? Afterall facts in arugments on this forum seem to be sidenotes
  25. That is untrue Your second point is fair enough
