mate do you just love to argue? I will spell it out for you.... Bing said - Dawes is a reliable source for what the playing group is thinking You said - Ox would have something to say about that - he thinks Neeld has lost the players I said - Ox said in his interview from Open Mike' from the outside it looks like Neeld' has lost the players - it is not a fact Neeld has lost the players - you implied it was a fact Ox knows Neeld has lost the players, it is not a fact Comprehend? FFS who cares anyway - Neelds fate will be determined by results in the next 17 games
-
Re-read post 1067. You imply the Ox knows what's happening inside the club Does it even really matter?
-
Ox said it looks like from the outstde Neeld has lost the players - lets get our facts right
-
I don't buy this line If Neeld goes - the same FD will be there - the same developemtn more or less is going to happen Meh whats the point....
-
This question if for Ben-Hur and Rhino So 'if' Neeld has lost the players - and I am assuming that statement is correct Then do we have to replace the heads of the FD as well? - surely the current FD including Mission and Craig who implement the development would also have lost the faith of the board if Neeld is sacked? Or is it all Neelds fault?
-
That is not bad logic Pennant I can only hope the club makes an informed decision before making any changes
-
No hard feelings mate - it has been a long day for myself and I tend to get defensive Appreciate the feed back - apologies for the aggressive rebuttal, a lot of the conversation on here goes around and around in circles, it's hard to know when you're having a decent discussion or not I am undecided on Neeld - i guess my position is, is there any point rushing in to the coaching decision with so long of the season left?? A new coach will bring a fresh approach and maybe some benefit - but will it really be beneficial long term? Do we not trust the FD to develop the players or is just Neeld as a coach who has to go?
-
Thanks for the advice robbie Maybe you should have a look at my prvious posts regarding my position of the coach...... it gets boring repeating yourself over and over Why is your assumption that a new coach will be any better then keeping Neeld on? At the end of the day what changes are a care taker coach going to implement that will benifit this club? I think you should consider your own argument. What changes will the care taker coach make? Would it be safe to assume that a care-taker would manage the games left and not actually coach (development etc gameplane etc etc) - as they are only a caretaker? If you sack the coach do you sack the FD as well as they are equally responsible for the current form Who is going to the be the caretaker and what exactly assures you they are better qualified Who would want to step up from our current coaching group to take this role after basically being told by they club they have no confidence in the FD ability? Otherwise don't waste my time

Great post I especially like the comment included in the quote. I'd reckon you'd struggle to name any more then 2 - 4 MFC players you can say have preformed week in week out at AFL level over the past few years
-
I have no idea what point you are trying to make Tricky
-
So if we can't get any worse - why bother sacking the coach?
-
Haha fair enough I like the idea of the club run on assumptions - Could explain a lot of things
-
I had a quck look GNF Maybe you should inform the club the decision has been made In all seriousness, what differnece does it make if Neeld coaches out the year?? An intrim coach is going to do no better or worse the Neeld.
-
Have to agree with Stuie on this one Both have played and handfull of AFL games - I would love to see them make an impact at AFL level, but I don't expect it to happen I am happy to see these boys come in to the side - but who sits out? We don't want too many one paced mids in the side.
-
Agree mate, big concern To stick with the positive though - It can be fixed by the team gaining experience together and high standards kept up by the FD. The only sad thing I want to bring to this thread is that this will not be fixed overnight - it will take a couple years and the injection of improved talent in the middle
-
Maybe.... I had a quick look at the Lions game again this morning...... Two things on the negative stood out for me 1/ Lack of defensive pressure from the mids 2/ Clearances I don't think Neeld has the resources to fix this for 2013 if you look at our list - this will take time sadly I though the boys showed some real fight and good use of the ball for substantial periods of the 1st and 2nd qtrs - I agree with the OP it's not all doom and gloom.
-
Agree Iv'a We got absolutely smashed in the middle against the Lions (and everyone else this year) adding Magner hopefully can add something to the team - What disappointed me most from Sunday's game was the lack of defensive intentsity when it mattered especially from the midfield. Players need to be able to play multiple positions now days but I really hope MN and the FD let Magner do what he does best - find and win the ball
-
Fair enough - I think i finally understand your point and agree

Injury List - Round 6 (Mitch Clark 6-8 weeks)
Cheap Seats replied to Bergly Sanders's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Fitzy is going to 'make it' his time is now....... What you say dosen't sound too bad DeeZee Knowing the MFC's luck recently surely nothing good can happen in 2013 -
I think Craig just recently signed a new 3 year contract with the Storm.. but i do like the idea Afterall 3 year contracts... pfft
-
Anyone heard anything from Greg Healy?

Would love to know Sugars thoughts But as Daisy points out - his job is to report to the board not the public -

haha same Add Fitzy and Seller to the mix and you have an all star line up -
You have an opinion - yay for you The only thing I am confused about is why you feel so strongly the need to bring the Ox down. People deserve second chances
-
Iv'a, i agree with the first 2 but I think Byrnes and Pederson have added a little bit to the team, But I do agree and think MN might be regretting leaving Magner on the RL Just to cournter - how many one paced mids do we need in the team?? Jones McKenzie Grimes Trenners That's off the top of my head - we need run as well, you can find some logic in Neelds thinking (I can see myself getting shot down with this statemetn )
-
Not sure if you are reading what I am saying - I never said he was the messiah, he could offer something to the club which needs all the help it can get Good work on the invite As for the rest I don't care
