Agreed but in the second and third qtr when they took their time and hit a target they looked good WTF do we move the ball fast to flat footed players??? Players and coaches need to address this - make sure the man is on before giving them the ball Kick long if under pressuer but If you take a good mark don't give up the ball FFS

hard to disagree Clearly not good enough but can't fault the effort today buy the boys - saw some good signs and saw a lot to be worried about short term

See my post above - possession v pressure - possession looks better stat wise but did it really mean we won anymore games? It still took 3 to 4 years to see any real improvement - and see above again I am not supporting Neeld - just trying to compare apples with apples and not promote hate

Stats really don't tell us that much - possession footy was bailey's game style (can you clarify when those stats are from stuie?) I will say this - I agree we've been really poor, if we can' address the possession issue and inability to score then someone else will be brought in..... which i think is a formality anyway

It saddens me that even if it were our home game it'd be that way anyway

One coached possession footy the other coaches the press - I always thought Neeld was hired as Bailey had no defensive structure I am confused by this thread for 2 reasons Bailey was coach for 3/4 years, Neeld has had 18 mothns (at best) at least compare apples with apples and show Bailey's stats for the first 18 months - otherwise we all know Neeld has been terrible and this thread has no point

Not defending Neeld buddy - just highlighting we don't need a thread to tell us how bad we are when we will all see it in 40 mins What's the point - do you want Bailey back??? Maybe you should donate your time to the club and show them these stats since you rate them so highly

Need to win the ball Stuie - how would you rate our ability at doing that for the last 4 years?? Do you think it is a coaches instruction to bomb the ball when in possession? I mean seriously look at the Bombers stats v the lions and explain how the lost

Neeld has gone ultra defensive with that stat but I believe what he says considering our form coming in to 2013.... I don' tthink (hope) we won't be super [censored] for another few years but if you look at teams like the Lions, Gold Coast and the Dogs it's not going to turn around overnight even with a new coach... that is for sure

Stuie since your an expert at stat analysis can you explain to me how Essendon lost to the Lions yesterday - from what i saw Essenscum won all the stats My point is you need to win the ball - and yes Neeld can be blamed for that.... quoting [censored] stats doesn't win the argument

Is it at all possible that development and the team hasn't come together like anyone expected including Neeld? Which might be a reason why he has decided to rebuild after the first 3 rounds? Look it's hard to cop but people need to accept where we are. If you don't like Neeld I doubt he'll be here at the end of the year anyway. If you think we were a winning team in 2013, at least have a look at experience, injuries and form before saying we should have beaten x team..... Apart from GWS I don't see us having more experience or form than any other team in the league.... That;s somehting you can blame Neeld for But at least he's brought in blokes and is playing blokes that will form the core of hopefully a winning team for the next coach
