Liked this post a lot sad thing is it won't happen

That is a very shollow opinion Pates We can fire a coach withoug thinking about the consequences and no one is to be held responisble for this aciton. Please don't think I didn't read what you've said and I am not endorsing a spill as such but someone needs to be held responisble for this mess - and there is no communication of the vision for this club You are supporting the inept attitude that is the root of this clubs problems - we are Weak and have an extremely poor culture And firing Neeld and supporting that decision supports the weak culture of this club
-
Just to add I am not promoting an instant kill of the board Someone should be held accountable for their poor decision making - it starts at the top and for the past 3 years I am yet to see any strong leadership or direction 18 months they've given the new coaching group - Where is the leadership and vision?
-
Thanks for the contribution GD - i really did enjoy your contribuiton I think like you - but as I've posted above I feel the board will make the short sighted decision to move Neeld on. I am making assumptions but at this stage I feel it is a safe assumption. The fact is that the board has given this new coaching group 18 months when they were promised 3 years - i hope that highlights my point to this thread
-
Agreed Soxy - The continued short sightedness of the Board will continue to hurt the club... someone is surely accountable? Why is Neeld the only one accountable?? This is a big 'What if'... But what if the club actually started winning games in 2014 like the Power with Neeld? What gaurentee is there that a new coach will get results?? Again I point to poor management who make short sighted decisions The only error I feel I am making in this thread is Neeld hasn't been sacked - But from all reliable reports he will be..... If I am wrong I am willing to take back everything I have said I am pretty positive though this board will move Neeld on and again highlight their own poor performance
-
I think you miss my point Webber I am not assuming anyting about Neeld - I am commenting on the FACT that this board hired Neeld, Craig & Dave mission to turn this club around and in 18 months one if not all will be fired How is that good management from the top? Who is responsible for this rubbish?
-
Thanks for highlighting my point longsuffering This thread is procative - I understand that. But it seems to be acceptable on this forum to call for a coaches head with no REAL replacement identified, and it seems acceptable to run the place via popular opinion through the media.... I want to hold the people in charge responsible for turning this club in to a circus. McLardy calls us the cheap seats - Don I've got news for you - do your job properly or we will vote your ass out. Please don't talk to me like I am stupid - I understand how the board runs the show, I understand you need good people in management. if you read other threads you should get an ideo of my position. All i want to acheive from this thread is accountability - someone hired Neeld surely those responsible need to held accountable for not doing their jobs properly?
-
Nah doesn't sit well with me RN Why is it ok to sack the coach for poor performance with no real direction but not the board who made all the decisions. Plus the reality is they are the ones putting us in to a deeper hole - payouts and new contracts It is whispered we could lose up to 3 mil in turnover this year - how irresponsible is this board - They're the ones who need to go IMO How are we going to pay for a coach?? Answer that - we all know the coaches we need will cost a mil each per year - What a joke this club is
-
Want to throw this out there now for you Demonlanders - we all know Neelds papers are stamped When the board fire Neeld they should also step down. It was their decision to hire Neeld and implement the direction of the club, they put us in this position we are in now. They've given Neeld 18 months to instal a plan they approved and have folded to pressure - failure on multiple levels to support the club publicly and in times of need and have mismanaged every even that has happened a this club in their tenure. This is the final straw for me - They will make this club suffer financially further with their mismanagement and paying out Neeld, if this club ever wants to be successful the first step is not sacking the coach - the first step is installing competent management This club is a joke and wreaks of softness
-
I get the feeling you want to say something Stuey Spencer I know my opinion is not the popular opinion - I know Neeld has dug his own hole, but I also firmly believe Neeld is out to change this culture and turn this club around - It hasn't happened in the first 18 months - we are playing a lot of inexperienced players or kids, this is going to take time, we have a soft draw for the last 10 games - that will answer for me if Neeld can coach or not. The board have inside information and know the direction, we already know 2013 is a write off - What I want from this club now is a CLEAR direction. Fixing this starts at the board level they need to decide if Neeld is the man, they need to support their blue print for this club or fire Neeld..... and when they fire Neeld we should fire them for putting this club in this position...

Sign Jesse Hogan up for 5 years (Suns and Jack Martin)
Cheap Seats replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like the success of signing Davey for 4 years was?? What are we protecting here more, your sanity or the club? I am not saying losing players won't hurt - it's not the end of the world, it will mark the end of Neelds though -
The worry for me out of that back 6 is we only have one elite kick there

Grow some ball mate Take the time to see where the club list is at and what we are trying to achieve - The brand has been damaged for years - that is a stupid argument I don't want to see players leave - that is up to the club and the coach to sell them the direction. Are you saying Frawley is lying when he says he supports the coach? You do realise Frawley has to be traded he can' walk at the end of 2013 and the MFC dosen't have to accept a trade Afterall if what your saying is true then he isn't playing for the coach in 2013 - what difference does 2014 make? As for the rest - where is the solid evidence any of them want to leave - the only one with a real option to leave is Sylvia - I like him but after 8 yeras or medocricty and the MFC won't play finals for at least 2 - 3 years who'd blame him for chasing success Unless you get some facts then you are talking crap - yes I would be very disappointed if Gawn left The club needs a change or you need a change to sell you hope? The train wreck is here mate and has been for years - People just expect this [censored] to turn around in 1 year
-
Thanks Biff

My point was what difference does it make - the coaches attitued Bailey - soft = we were [censored] Neeld - tough - we are [censored] People need to accept where we are as a club - as I posted above There is hope there - I wish I had 'on the couch's graphic' where they showed 12 - 14 solid players to take us forward - but [censored] me most of them were young or injured....We've got 2 weeks of crap ahead then we can really see how good of a coach Neeld is - and if he [censored] up the last 10 weeks then let's [censored] him off All this dramatic chest thumping to sack everyone is not going to solve our problems short term....... People just want change to make themselves feel better and give themselves hope. We can't even run a club properly - A footy club is run like a company - the board make decisions and run the place - supporters/media = owners and have no say in decisions but just watch this [censored] weak club fold to pressure - and that right there will see the MFC be a laughing stock for ever If the owners disagree wiht the board they get voted out - and someone else takes over - so my example here is that the owners (us members and the media) are dictating the direction of the club I don't care if you agree or disagree with this - that is the basic fundamental of operations People say people are leaving the club - thanks for stating the obvious - I wonder if they realise people will return when someone has the balls to do the hard work and turn the club around. People love success and unfortunately we are so far away from it and have been for years when someone actually attempts it they get fired half way through a job they were hired to do Just listen to that muppet the bald one - on AFL 360 (the chief writer at the Sun damn i've forgotten his name) regarding Neeld he says he should be sacked - something has to happen now Scott Watters is on the panel and he starts blabbing on how Waters inherited a list and dosen't understand how people don't get it a coach needs a few years to rebuild Right there is the stupidity that is dictating the direction of our club - media pressure will force our clubs hand I guarantee it - we are a [censored] weak club and always will be No matter how right or wrong you think Neeld being coach is - the board need to make the decisions based on their inside knowledge, evaluate consequences and plan ahead strategically - sacking Neeld right now stinks of [censored] weak administration. Fire him at the end of the year once the season has played out and we have the total picture.
-
Who cares though Bailey was best mates with the players and they lost by 186 points Cale Morton says WCE elite players are a class above any player when he was at the club including Moloney, Rivers & Green Do we want a 'best mate' for the players or do we want professional players who perform to high standards on a consistent basis in any conditions and or venue???? If you can have a crap point with a lot of speculation I also reserve the right to express mine without the fact he needs the players to play for the jumper......... If the club says Neeld isn't or won't get the elite results I say move him on - but [censored] me have soft expectations at this club... There is hope there - I wish I had on the couch's graphic where they showed 12 - 14 solid players to take us forward - but [censored] me most of them were young or injured....We've got 2 weeks of crap ahead then we can really see how good of a coach Neeld is - and if he [censored] up the last 10 weeks then let's [censored] him off
-
Just watching on the coach - it's all the same rubbish you read on here The MFC need to act blah blah blah - nothing like the media talking something up and giving no real analysis just opinion. The club needs to develop talent - At least they put up a chart of players who can make this club competitive, it was just a shame a few were injured and there were so many blanks in the 18 - so out of the 18 we have probably 8 - 10 playing - win for us
-
Posted this in the - How do we fix this thread but just as relavent here http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-05-27/cale-morton Pretty big slap in the face from an ex player - and was a top 3 for fitness?? Highlights for me how far behind we really are
-
Step 1: Develop or recruite AFL standard talent http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-05-27/cale-morton Step 2 ??? Step 3 Premiership ......... But in all seriousness a pretty big slap in the face to this club

How many supporters refuse to attend games while Neeld is coach?
Cheap Seats replied to tonatopia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Am going to Queens birthday but that sums up what I think as well Young Dee -
That is a good argument GNF - can not fault what you have said Execution by the palerys is the main problem for Neeld and as you pointed out Neeld plays a big part in this.....But as we've argued it is not soley on Neeld that players keep losing 1 v 1 contests or only play competitive for 1 qtr. If it is Neeld or another coach there is still going to be the same glaring problems and Neeld or the new coach will have a lot of work to do to develop this list - the turn around isn't going to happen overnight - I am not sure if you see that GNF

I disagree with this On face value both those lines look pretty strong - but if they're not making an impact on the game how can the be considered stong? Eg: our backline can not maintain posession of the ball and continually cough up easy scores. Now I am not going to argue that the midfield dosen't play a part in this as the amount of times the ball goes inside our defensive 50 is a concern - but I say look at them under pressure and their ability to maintain handle the pressure and maintain possession All factors are very poor Yes I acknowledge and agree the midfield is a concern and fixing that should be a first priority that we need to fix. But can you say that ourdefence can effictively counter attack? And I am not talking about just the rushed clearances but I think our backline is as poor as our mids as with lack of compusre and lack of ability to execute and maintain pressure. I agree with your opinion on our forwars - they are wasting away but they also need to find a way to et in to the game - Should I even comment on the bolded line? None of our defenders show the quality of a Geel or Syd to play that counter attacking game style (for a start you need full ground pressure and run - and we lack both) - how many examples form Sundays game would you like? I'll repeat myself the mids do hurt us for turnovers but the backs are equally as poor with the ball in hand Not sure if you noticed this but against Freo we played man on man for the majority of the game (except for one or two patches where we actually flodded). You do realise to stem the flow of opposition scoring teams will play 1 man loose in defence but if there is no pressure from up the groun this will be equally ineffective and why I highly doubt we can play like a Geel or Syd Our game plan reliies on pressure around the ground - I don't blame our defenders for that - I simply want to point out that with the ball our denders are as equally as poor as our mids And gameplan has nothing to do with losing 1 v 1 contest - that is player driven. Plans dictate support and strategy, players dictate effort and ability
