Beat me to it haha Spot on - so far this thread is nothing more then guesses and fantasy

I don't see that being offered back maybe a 2nd round if we are lucky.......... Why would the Lions give up Rockliff (gun) and pick 7 (which you wouldn't give for fitz by hiimself) for pick 2?? makes no sense I would be over the moon if we could get Rocky - but that deal wont' get him especially if the lions don't have to trade him
-
Wow That truly is impressive by the Swans if that happens......
-
Very optimistic IMO

How can we not take you seriously with that username deeflog? Haha I choose to believe you Deeflog - but if your words don't come true I will be very upset hahaha

Can't re-check the article at the moment but I did also read or hear comments from Danny Frawley which indicated that Dew wasn't going for the Senior assistant role I thought I read that as well in the AGE article by Lane - I could be mistaken though

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS
Cheap Seats replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
AFL contracts generally cease at the end of October - without knowing in detail how list lodgements work I assume Cross is still a Dog until the end of Oct but can sign a new contract with another club which would start in November.... I am not 100% sure how it all works in detail -
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/sydney-backed-on-dew-decision-20130925-2uell.html According to the AGE - Dew is just applying to be a line coach, I don't think the Swans are doing anything wrong by insisting Dew see out his contract. There are clearly other issues here for Sydney to deal with but legally they seem to be in the right I reckon they are pi$$ed at Roos and their position on Dew is reflection of that

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-25/dons-in-market-for-adams Bombers seem to be in the chase as well - Let the bidding war begin Would be happy to pay overs for Adam to get him through the PSD - we need mids and Adams is a no brainer

I agree mate... I just think in this situation it is relevant as the Swans are upset with Roosy and it seems (from my limited knowledge) they are enforcing Dew's contract Will be interesting to see what happens

Rating 2014 - 99% sure it wont be about the wins & losses
Cheap Seats replied to TGR's topic in Melbourne Demons
For mine I don't see us making much improvement until we get some midfield run - no earth shattering news there But from either development of our current crops or trading/drafting we need ready to go mids now and we need at minimum 10 - 12..... I count off the top of my head (from what I've heard ppl say (watts on radio etc) and some guess work) Ready to go rd 1 2014 Watts Sylvia Jones M Jones N Viney Toump McKenzie Trengove Grimes IMO is not an AFL mid standard at the moment, neither are Blease Taggart etc etc I'm sure I've missed a couple but my point is we don't have quality depth of ready to go mids - IMO we won't get much better unless we can improve that list from development or recruiting... Roosy has a big job ahead -
This is just a comment on the contract situation not the whole discussion The AFL won't step in over contract disputes - Courts of Australia will decide who's right and wrong not the AFL Generally speaking AFL as discussed by you guys clubs let coaches break their contracts to pursue opportunities to get senior jobs - Clubs can technically hold individuals to their contracts as long as they are entitled to enforce them.... Sydney are clearly [censored] with the Dees - AFL won't step in... end of story

Josh Mahoney named new football operations boss
Cheap Seats replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
He wore lots of hat this year and I reckon did a good job under pressure It says a lot about him if he is not being moved on by Jackson - all the best Josh keep up the good work -
I hear what you're saying it is possible....... But why would AFC give away a proven quality mid in Sloane to get what with no 2 pick???? They want Boyd - we can't give them Boyd with pick 2 - Sloane ain't coming to the MFC Unless he says he wants to leave AFC - which goes back to my original point, it'd be pure fluke if he wanted to leave and chose the MFC, it's be a massive coup and bigger then netting Roos IMO
-
Not looking to start an argument Ox but I don't think I clarified my point properly Clubs like the MFC don't have B&F winners from strong clubs come to them - Sloane leaving the Crows to come to MFC doesn't happen in reality., That's why I would rate it as a bigger event then the Roos signing - Roos was donated to us form the AFL due to our own clubs stupidity. Sloane leaving the Crows to come to the MFC makes no sense - 1 player or not it would be a massive coup for the Dees.... I'd love Sloane at the Dees, don't see it happening though....

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DOM TYSON
Cheap Seats replied to angrydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was close to being a tiger last year I don't know if the kid is any good or on the move but you never know -
Col for mine - one of very short list who was consistent and resilent all year I rate a consistency over a few flashes from Fitz - I do hope Fitz can contribute again in 2014 though
-
This has been my favourite thread no need to apologise Jane
-
Is it known he wants to come home to Vic and leave the Crows (not just rumor)? I thought the Crows would only trade if they could get pick 1 (Boyd) I highly doubt we could get Sloan unless he nominates us as a club he wants to come to - which lets be honest is unlikely Getting Sloane would be bigger then getting Roos IMO it would be massive and I don't see it happening
-
My only point in this thread is Watts in not a KPP On Hogan's readiness for AFL - we'll find out in 2014 but Watts won't be KPP that I am pretty confident on (which is what we are talking about KPPs? and if we should draft more??) Im actually not disagreeing with you dee luded - I do agree Hogan will struggle at times in the AFL but I strongly believe he is ready to go, strong KPP who could set the g alight from rd 1 Bob sums it up nicely - I have no idea if we need Boyd or not - but I do know we need some quality mids now
-
Spot on thread Well done NC & Thank you If your not at the club in 2014 all the best Now bring on the Roos era!
-
Simpson and Burns are have pulled out until further notice, Rocket has re-signed with Pies, from what i've heard Chocco is out Only leaves Craig and Roos as far as Im aware (and I have no idea on the status of Craig)
