Spot on The only thing I want to add to this debate is the constant change in coaches and philosophy of how the MFC is to play (free flowing outside or defensive etc etc Neeld v Bailey) the MFCs constant swapping hasn't helped recruiting or development and hasn't done us any favours for 2014 or onwards either.. we need stability and then I think we'll see real improvement

He reminds me of Dusty Martin - pace, confidence and has a massive boot on him I would like to see the Dees us pick 2 on him - ready to go round 1 2014 - where as Aish and other draftees will need time Lets not kid ourselves we aren't port - we haven't got the midfield depth to support a 1st year player

because our team sucks now - we need experience in the middle now otherwise 2014 could be as poor as 2013 IMO it's pretty simple - recruite some experience and get more competitive with some additional natural development - or continue to rebuild and hope fo 2 - 5 wins in 2014 I've started an argument I am not committed to keep up - but we can't keep relying on young blokes to lift the load of an entire team, even 1 in 1000 players will struggle at the Dees ATM (GWS anyone??)

Agreed - I have no doubt those 2 will not get traded I didn't think I'd have to spell out that I was just fantasising about DH in the red and blue, looks like I had too I seriously doubt the Swans would trade DH - but it is nice to believe it is a chance, nothing more then fantasy

Thanks for the info Sleeve No real surprises there as to what Player managers would be recommending. Our biggest hurlde luring a player will be getting them to want to play for the MFC. I still hold some hope we can land a couple established mids but I see us going to the draft with 2 as well. Hopefully Roos & co can pull a surprise or 2!

Agree.. but they could choose to enforce the contract depending on the situation. So what I was trying to say is if we convinced an Essendon player to come to the Dees we wouldn't have to trade for them - which I think you were agreeing with

I have heard a rumor that unofficially the AFL has advised Essendrug players they can walk out of their contracts Yet to be confirmed by the AFL.... so I don't know how reliable it is Will be interesting

Some good info there mate and I agree with you 100% The only thing I'll add is that Rocky is contracted until 2014 and the Lions don't have to let him go..... We'd have to pay overs to get him - and I would be happy to do that for Rockcliff but I don't see it happening sadly
