Fantastic news!! I am so excited about the direction this club is heading in under Prez Jimma..... I will be adding to the membership tally on Monday when I renew mine and also sign up my 10wk old son for his first of many memberships with our great club! Some exciting years ahead for all of us.... The rough seas are behind us now.... A little bit of swell still on the horizon..... But once we get through that it will be plain sailing!

They were crapping on about this on 5aa this afternoon here in Adelaide..... Really hammering the Power supporters for not signing/turning up.... One thing that really interested me was when Stephen Rowe (replaced KG on the show with Graham Cornes) said that "over the last few seasons Melbourne has been given $10m dollars from this AFL relief fund" Is that a true figure??? If not can anyone give me the true figure so I can email a response to those bastards

10th - 16th The thing that concerns me is our forward line.... But this will only be a concern for 2009..... Same goes for our rucks.... 2009 will bring a little more pain..... 2008 was a gaping chainsaw wound.... 2009 will see that wound start to scab over.... 2010 we will be well into the healing process and by 2011 we will be left with only a scar to remind us of those terribly painful times!!

I really hope that Col can get some consistency in his game..... Not only in his possessions, but also in his attitude.... A consistently good attitude is all that this boy needs IMHO.... The skill and strength are never absent.... It is just a question of attitude and getting rid of that FIGJAM attitude that he likes to show us every other week..... The kid could be anything..... But the problem is that he already thinks he is something!

Each league is restricted to 16 teams..... I aws actually going to start up another DemonLand league, but I'm sure someone else has beaten me to it.... More than likely will be more announced in this thread by the end of the day

I agree 100% ...... That match was unbelievable..... Flicked over to Ch7 to watch the first couple of games (was watching the cricket on Ch9) and then thought, "Screw the cricket!" Verdasco hit winner after winner after winner..... and not once did he back off his gameplan..... Punish Rafa into submission.... I am still excited and a part of me is glad that Rafa won, so we can see the final everyone has anticipated.... But Verdasco has No 1 written all over him!! Verdasco has instantly won me as a follower after his efforts in that match! As long as he keeps getting his local farmer to grow those "Magic Apples" he will be a name in the Top 10 for years to come..... Great Match

I have heard good reports on both..... But it is the "silly" part of the season.... We will know more come the season proper.... Although if fit, I think both will play the NAB Cup opener against Hawthorn.... Surely we would be throwing everything into it this year?!?!?!

The bloke has achieved all there is to achieve in Australia (except a Charlie).... He has won a premiership.... He has made great money.... He obviously realises that this year will be a bit of a "non-event" for Sydney and has decided to return home to play his national sport.... Bit strange that he would leave with a year remaining on his contract though Been great value in his time with the Swans.... Good luck to him....

I quite like Y_M's posts..... So often I open up this forum to find nothing but personal attacks on other peoples opinions.... The world is full of "other" opinions.... That is what forums are for.... If you don't like a particular person's posts, then you know exactly what to do..... Don't bloody read them.... It is the same people every time that complain and attack Y_M, regardless of what he writes! For god sake, the bloke could put a post up here that says "I'm sorry, I was wrong, Bruce is a good player" and certain people would still attack him!! It makes me laugh reading Y_M's posts..... Which is a lot more than I can say for some others on here..... Keep up the good work.... Some of us enjoy reading posts which are a bit.... say..... Left Field

I read this article this morning and also had a bit of a laugh.... CC is a top bloke! CJ will be spewin' that he has just basically been told that he is not worthy of being drafted ahead of 70-odd other unknowns! LOL.... The day that CJ sees a Red 'n Blue jumper again will be the day Captain Brock runs through him like a steam-train and quietly whispers in his ear while he is trying to re-fill his lungs "That's what you get when you disrespect my guernsey!"

I personally think this thread is pretty good..... It is nice to get all the information in one thread, like Nugz said..... Neita3000, I think you may just be jealous that you didn't think of the idea yourself.... HaHa.... This forum is set up so that every single Melbourne supporter can have their say on any matter they feel warrants it.... Anyway, I am very impressed at how the club has recruited.... I believe the future is a lot brighter than most outsiders think.... 2009 will be another tough year, but I believe we will celebrate some special victories next season.... Will be more smiles than cries
