  1. Sell the car mate and get something that has a set of scrubbed out clonkers. Then put the Hancools on. See there is always a simplw solution.
  2. Brad Green should be Captain now and should have been 08 B&F. Displays superb courage and has the respect of both teammates and opposition. Clearly our best onfield leadership option with Brock McLean as VC ready to move into the top role in two years time.
  3. Sylvia for Tambling!!!!!! That really is a no-brainer. Sylvia for anyone that has a modicum of ability, a passion for the guernsey and wants to try their guts out for the team. Or in other words, all the qualities he fails to display. Let's face it, he is not at all interested in us so the sooner he goes the sooner we may get a goer to replace him. He will possibly end up somewhere else and become a champion but I think his pathetic efforts and his lack of discipline show what he is. Wish he would prove me wrong but I won't hold my breath. Makes you nearly spew when you see the sheer guts and determination all around our club and then this wimp. On the Tambling side I think he leaves his will at home when he goes to the game. Just another wannabe, cannabe but neverwillbe.
  4. Great to see a bonus for members by the guys at Kaspersky. Genuine 20% discount from their anti-virus. Thanks Kaspersky. I am trying to get my company onboard and this may help.
  5. Unlike Clint Bizkit I was unable to be at the game and could only listen to the radio broadcast occassionally. I can't nelieve that we picked up Daen Bailey as a coach when this guy is obviously so superior in all aspects of strategy and coaching. Come on Clint get off the coaches back and be aware that we are in the phase of rebuilding from the ground up/ The impression I gained from what I heard is that we were soundly beaten in the ruck and I hardly find that surprising when ypung Jake was i for his first senior game and apparently Paul Johnson had a game he will not be displaying in his player highlites. Added to this was a lack of ball disposal skills which led to some turnovers and ultimately goals/ I personally am of the opinion that we didn't go too bacly although falling away in the last quarter. Last season we were falling away in the second. Let us all remain behind the team and that means baxking the coach whom I have every faith will turn this team around. Go Dees and let's see what we can do against the wobbles next week..
  6. After all the htpe we have previously had with our prospective Chinese connections it is now quite surprising, although wonderful, that we now have both Russian and Korean sponsors. Who would have ever thought this?
  7. I was a bit disappointed to read one post which suggested our new sponsor should be offering discounts to get we members to use the product. Shame on you. We, the members should be doing everything possible to repay the faith and enormous $ commitment being made. Thank you Andrew for having the initiative to raise the subject with the hierarchy and for following it through. I will be doing all I can to ensure that all the organisations I am involved with with will be using the products of those that support us. Don;t forget to look at all our sponsors and try to give them a run.
  8. Anyone know who is producing these this year. I have been looking for them but haven't been able to locate same. Would appreciate any help.
  9. Cats have now upgraded their figure to 30,000.
  10. Just to set the record straight. All the figures quoted came from the individual club sites. Those not shown didn't have any mention of numbers at all. Now on one G.Lyon. Son of Peter and born in Devonport, Tasmania. Peter was the captain coach of the Devonport team. Then when GL was but a small lad the family moved, (I think back), to Kyabram.
  11. I have only seen this lad play once and that was on tv when we played Hawthorn at Aurora in Launceston. I was more than impressed by his enthusiasm and his ability to actually palm the ball to a teammate. He also did a great pass to a leading forward when under pressure. The boy is raw but from all reports has a passion to succeed and I think he will be a great assett to our team. Put a few kilos on him and a couple of seasons and he is going to be really worth watching.
  12. I guess it would have been fair to say that I have been a follower more than a supporter. My following of the team goes back to the days of Barassi when my Mum thought he was "it". As a resident in Tasmania with limited funds and no hope of attending games I could never convince myself to part with my hard earned funds. That is until 5 years ago that I decided I had better put my money where my mouth is and get aboard. But better than that I can proudly boast that my two children are both one-eyed Dees. Even better is that my son resides in Melbourne and is a Trident member. Added to that is that his American flatmate is also a Trident due totally to my son's influence. Even have the wife signed up. It is with pride that I wear my colours, either tie, jacket, or one of several shirts. We have been to Hell and back but I have this great belief that in three years time we will be at the G for that one day in September and I can tell you, come Hell or high water my son and I will be there to see us once again be victorious. Should you wonber about my post name just think of a couple of brothers from Devonport in Tassie, who have given years to this great club of ours. Go Dees.
  13. Sorry Robbo. Didn't mean to make you an "etc" I was just posting in a hurry.
  14. Looking at the membership numbers posted we look to be travelling okay. I would be one of those optimistic souls who thinks we will surpass the magic 30,000 without any drama. All we need is a competitive start to the year and should we pull off a win or two that will be a bonus. Dogs 19,688 Lions 20,931 Saints 24246 Power 24,357 DEES 24,453 Cats 25,000 Tiges Cant work out whether the matchday figure of 31,052 includes non Matchday of 7,738 As Pauline says "Please explain" C/tank 32,161 Pies 36,318 Hawks 43,924 Include approximately 7,000 here in Tassie. With all our Tassie background this should have been us. Green, Febey, Febey, Lyon, Marquis, etc, etc,
  15. Well it seems I am not the only one of the opinion that this is time that could be better spent. I am very disappointed with GL as a host because I just don't think he fills the role very well. I am not an Eddie fan but he was certainly much better, especially the pathetic co-host. Average cricketer and less so as a personality. Terrible to have to admit it but I also watched the rugby equivalent and it was so superior it was unbelievable. When the likes of Newman make Could play the game and knew when to quit but unfortunately he has forgotten now. Anyone else as impressed with Russel Crowe as I am. Certainly knows the game and his insight into the future of the game makes me wish he was involved in AFL. Wonder if he would like to get aboard the Deewagon?
