  1. Interesting.... I wonder what Brisbane would want for him? Here is the Rookie Me profile of Harry Sharp from a few years ago:https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/harry-sharp/
  2. We might be more likely to get Wade Derksen if Jake Stringer leaves Essendon and goes to GWS. But we shall have to wait and see what happens...
  3. Interesting to see Shane Woewodin has given his 2 cents worth about the Melbourne Football Club. I understand he is our most recent Brownlow Medallist (2000) but besides his son being at the Club, I don't know how heavily he is involved at the Club. I think his words have been blown way out of proportion saying the Melbourne Football Club is "a bit of a mess" but we do need to fix things. Not sure how helpful the comments are for his son, Taj Woewodin. He would want the Club to be stable. Personally, I really hope Taj Woewodin gets super fit and strong over the Pre-Season would love to see him have a significant impact at the Demons in 2025! I do agree that there needs to be open lines of communication at the Demons though. Transparency is key. We will see what happens after the 2 independent reviews I guess? Anyway, here is the article from SEN radio for those who may wish to read it: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2024/10/09/a-bit-of-a-mess-former-star-and-father-of-current-dee-makes-melbourne/
  4. A ranking of 6th is pretty good. Being called the Melbourne Football Club makes a big difference. Otherwise, we would of gone the way of South Melbourne (Sydney) and Fitzroy (Brisbane) and ended up the Gold Coast, or Hobart or Canberra or Darwin Demons years ago. Now we just gotta keep winning more Premierships and get that Home Base built at the Caulfield Racecourse!
  5. Damn! Cal Twomey must be reading my posts on Demonland! 🤣 But in all seriousness, it is a plausible option IF Melbourne and Essendon can arrange a deal. Essendon supporters would be wanting to use pick 9# and also get Isaac Kako. But that may be too risky and I am certain they don't want to lose him like we lost Mac Andrew in 2021. Trading for points for Isaac Kako makes sense. But I don't think Adrian Dodoro will want to play ball. I just want the Demons to have picks 5# and 9# that would be fantastic!
  6. True, that's possible. But very complicated. I doubt St. Kilda will give up picks 7# and 8# in the draft though.
  7. Here's another article showing the latest AFL draft rankings: https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/41685320/afl-draft-power-rankings-october-2024-jagga-smith-levi-ashcroft-sid-draper-sam-lalor
  8. Fingers crossed he comes to the Demons! 🤞 It would definitely be quite an exciting challenge for him. Can he work with CEO Gary Pert? Anyway, we shall wait and see....?
  9. We won't be giving them pick 5# under any circumstances. That would be an utterly moronic decision. Essendon are better loading up on points to get Isaac Kako. Otherwise they will waste pick #9 when an early bid comes in from any team that highly rates Isaac Kako. The smarter thing would be for them to give us pick #9 and we will give them in return our future first rounder (for 2025), and picks 28, 40, 48, 53, and 64 in this year's draft. They can then use all these points to take Isaac Kako if an early bid comes in. Unfortunately, this is only wishful thinking as I doubt Essendon would do this. Worth a try for Jason Taylor to ask though?! This is probably the Demons best shot to try and get 2 picks in the top 10 of this year's AFL Draft.
  10. Looks like Damien "Purple" Barrett has been reading Demonland. He's calling for Gary Pert's head now too.... Here is the article: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1241651/barrett-hurting-melbourne-demons-must-act-to-stop-three-year-implosion
  11. This is the type of elite high-performance facility with the very latest equipment we need to have at our Home Base at Caulfield Racecourse (hopefully). The best of the best for all our Melbourne Demons players.
  12. Would love the Demons to have 2 top 10 picks in this year's AFL Draft. But one top 10 pick (currently #5 moving to #6) and maybe a pick in the top 20 would be wonderful. It seems like we have too much competition for Gold Coast's pick 11#, but hopefully we could snare one of Fremantle's picks or maybe Brisbane's or even GWS? Essendon might give up pick #9 due to their NGA prospect Isaac Kako possibly going quite high in this year's draft. But I doubt they want to give up their first round pick this year.
  13. Sadly, correct. 2024 is a total write off. Dan Houston ghosted us like a Tinder date. Although we did get Tom "Dinosaur" Campbell as a back up ruckman and we may get Wade "Diggler" Derksen from GWS?
  14. If you asked me this time last year I would of said yes. At the moment, we are seen as "unsettled" as a Club. Hopefully, once both the external reviews are completed we will have a better idea of where the Melbourne Football Club stands.
  15. It's interesting watching Tim Lamb think before giving his answers. I respect that. You can tell he is being very prudent with what he says. Dan Houston losing interest in coming to the Demons is definitely a concern though. We want to be a "destination Club" for star AFL players.
  16. Possibly? I like the look of Finn O'Sullivan myself. Here are his highlights:
  17. Great highlights! Fritta's goal was amazing against Geelong! It is definitely my number 1# goal of the year.
  18. Agreed. That's just mean-spirited and counter productive for the entire Melbourne Football Club.
  19. It would be quite fascinating to be there while Jason Taylor and the rest of the recruitment staff discuss all these hypotheticals about who they think will be drafted where and what their strategies would be.
  20. Lunch then? I understand he wants to join the Melbourne Football Club Board, but so would I, if I was a multimillionaire. But we can't always get what we want.
  21. I should mention that I don't have "the knives out" for Gary Pert. Up until recently I thought he has done an excellent job as CEO of the Melbourne Demons. I just wanted to keep Clayton Oliver at the Demons. Interim President Brad Green has said that Clayton Oliver isn't going anywhere, so I am relieved. However, this news article (if true) does have me greatly concerned: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2024-tensions-between-melbourne-ceo-gary-pert-key-club-officials-coach-simon-goodwin-future-questioned-alan-richardson-problems-at-demons/news-story/464bd24e03de5dbad68e6920037dff36
  22. Yes, well it was a waste of hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal expenses. Something the Melbourne Football Club don't have the luxury to afford. I note that interim President Brad Green spoke about "unity" at the Melbourne Football Club last night. Hopefully he can offer the "olive branch of peace" to Peter Lawrence so that all of this can be resolved. If he can sit down and meet Joe Gutnick for a coffee then he can do the same with Peter Lawrence.
  23. Xavier Lindsay is an excellent kick. Would definitely like to see the Demons draft him. Here are some of his highlights:
  24. If anyone from Demonland was there tonight, did they see Clayton Oliver? Tell him we all love him and want him to stay a Demon! ❤️💙👹
  25. Pick 25# and pick 42# would be acceptable. Could then package them up in a deal to Brisbane or Gold Coast for first round picks.
