  1. I never said they didn't give their all. But they have certainly underachieved with the talented list that the Demons have. Obviously something needs to fundamentally change so that the Demons are more determined than ever to win the Premiership next year in 2024 at the MCG. Being called "chokers" by various moronic imbeciles in the football media is humiliating and makes my blood boil! 🀬🀬🀬🀬 The Demons have wasted their opportunities in seasons 2022 and 2023 and we cannot allow this to happen again in 2024. Anyway, it is up to the Demons players themselves to improve that extra amount just like every other player from an AFL club will wish to do in season 2024. We as Demons members and supporters can only cheer on and support from the side lines.
  2. Anyone from Demonland attending the Melbourne Demons Best & Fairest this year?
  3. I can't see it happening. How could bloody Geelong afford this??!! Are they paying players with cash in brown paper bags or buying them farms? πŸ€”
  4. I mentioned this previously, but I would be very happy if we choose two or even three players from the following list of young talent. ● Zane Duursma ● Colby McKercher ● Nate Caddy ● Nick Watson ● Ryley Sanders ● Connor O'Sullivan ● Darcy Wilson ● Ollie Murphy ● George Stevens For those interested, you can find information about them via the link here: https://central.rookieme.com/afl/power-rankings/afl-draft-power-rankings-september-2023/

It seems like Luke Beveridge and the Western Bulldogs are super keen on Stuart Dew. As can be seen in this article: https://www.afl.com.au/aflw/video/1043405/a-behind-the-scenes-look-at-the-dogs-new-look-fortress?videoId=1043405&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1695931200001&tagNames=AppNewsFeed:Yes As for who is joining the Demons coaching panel to replace Adem Yze? It definitely looks like Andrew McQualter is moving on to another AFL Club. St. Kilda were interested, according to Ross Lyon, but they said that they cannot afford him under their coaching soft cap. At least that's what it says in this particular article: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2023-ross-lyon-andrew-mcqualter-coaching-position-where-will-he-go-missing-richmond-tigers-job-to-adem-yze-latest/news-story/5a1b39001ef76d8eccd755980545404d

The newly revamped VU Whitten Oval is now being used by the Western Bulldogs AFLW team. Here is a video about it: https://www.afl.com.au/aflw/video/1043405/a-behind-the-scenes-look-at-the-dogs-new-look-fortress?videoId=1043405&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1695931200001&tagNames=AppNewsFeed:Yes Hopefully, the Melbourne Demons can get something similar to this built at Caulfield Racecourse.
  7. It must be a laugh going onto football forums on the Internet and making up gossip about possible trades. 🀣 Just to see how people will react. Nevertheless, I will admit, even I gotta bit excited about the Aaron Cadman rumour! 😳
  8. Happy for the Demons players to have a few drinks for the sake of team bonding. However, I hope that Max Gawn and the rest of the team used the opportunity of their Mad Monday celebrations to "make a pact" to leave no stone unturned in their efforts to win the Premiership in 2024! We must be as ruthless and determined as we were in 2021 to achieve the ultimate success again and hold up that Premiership cup at the MCG! GO DEMONS IN 2024!!! πŸ”΄πŸ”΅πŸ‘Ή

Huh?! Fisherman's Bend? I thought we are now fully investigating the option of the Caulfield Racecourse for the Melbourne Football Club's Home Base? Anyway, I guess we should hopefully hear some news at the upcoming Melbourne Football Club's AGM? The matter of our Home Base should be at the top of our agenda.

I think Nick Blakey would be an incredibly fantastic trade for Brodie Grundy and an excellent replacement for Michael Hibberd. However, I cannot see the Swans letting him go though! More likely to hopefully snaffle the Swan's first draft pick this year in number #11!
  11. I still reckon Christian Petracca win's the Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy for 2023. However, it will be extremely close!
  12. If we can draft two players who are elite kicks from this list I would definitely be over the moon! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  13. Exactly! Adelaide are delusional! 🀣

A little surprised. As I thought Brett Ratten was cooked. I guess Sam Mitchell convinced him to return back to Hawthorn in a different role. Apparently Gavin Brown and John Blakey have departed North Melbourne. Would the Demons be interested in either of those two?
  15. Here's a current "top 20" for young players in the 2023 AFL National Draft from 'The Sporting News' website: https://www.sportingnews.com/au/afl/news/phantom-draft-2023-first-round-projection-top-20-picks/f7057d7638129eb2395ecbd8
  16. Brayden "the Thug" Maynard should be booed for the rest of his football career by Melbourne supporters. His vile dog act will NEVER be forgiven or forgotten!!! 🀬🀬🀬🀬
  17. Apparently Emerson Jeka was delisted by the Hawks. He is a 198cm key forward originally from the Western Jets. Here is the link about it: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1042682/josh-morris-emerson-jeka-fionn-ohara-depart-hawthorn-after-2023-season Perhaps Emerson Jeka is worth giving a 2nd chance to? However, I don't know much about him.
  18. With 4 field umpires now I think that the Brownlow Medal voting process needs to be overhauled. I also think it has become a midfielder's award and this should be changed. Would definitely like to see a full forward or a full back or any other position win a Brownlow Medal. Anyway, I hope Christian Petracca and the rest of the Melbourne players use this year's bitter disappointment as motivation for a determined effort to win next year's AFL Premiership in 2024.
  19. Unless the Demons win the Premiership in 2024 then both 2022 and 2023 will be seen as wasted opportunities. Having said that, the most important thing is making sure the Melbourne Football Club is able to have sustained success over many years.
  20. Would definitely be a great experience to be a "fly on the wall" to see what Jason Taylor and the MFC recruitment team are up to. The big challenge at the moment is three fold for the Demons. Firstly, drafting elite decision makers to improve the connection into our forward line. Secondly, looking at talented key position tall forwards to add potency to our forward line. Lastly, drafting young gun players that will allow the Demons to have sustained success. In particular, a possible long-term replacement for Steven May at full back. Overall though, I have complete faith in Jason Taylor as well as Tim Lamb in their roles for the Demons list management and recruitment.

Agreed. Nathan Bassett would be a handy addition to the Demons.

Unless the scum at Collingwood get the "Collywobbles" then I don't see them losing. The Brisbane Lions just can't win on the MCG. Happy to be proven wrong though!
  23. Would happily accept trading Brodie Grundy and draft pick #24 for the Sydney Swans draft pick #11.
  24. Sadly, the players have to take responsibility for the choking. Move on and have a big Pre-Season for 2024. Fingers crossed we can break the Brownlow Medal drought of 23-24 years now sometime soon.
