  1. The thing about Grimes which I haven't seen mentioned here is that his kicking has improved enormously this year IMO and something he deserves credit for.
  2. Horrendous news and my heart goes out to all involved. You are spot on IMO, let the Crows players decide. When I was working as a skydive pilot, I was doing the night rating flights for some skydivers, just before the final flight the news came through that a skydiver who was also a pilot and a good friend had passed away. I was devastated, I told one mate that I was going to cancel the final flight but he asked me, what would she want. I had no doubt she would have wanted the skydivers to get their night rating, so we did the flight. It was the hardest flight of my life, but I felt I had to do it, I wanted to do it because I knew that it was the best way I could honour her and I was absolutely certain it is what she would have wanted. So, what every one else thinks means squat, it's up to the Adelaide crows players to decide what they want to do, something they would discuss with the club and Phil's family. Everyone else is irrelevant.
  3. my God Fence, we were haing fun but your denials read like Jumes Hird
  4. Don't see anything there suggesting Pedo is in trouble
  5. Don't the ads come about due to previous searches??
  6. Am a huge fan of Col, but would be selecting Vince, TMac (despite lull in form) among others before him. Would happily see him straight back in normally, but after last weeks team performance would understand him having a week at Casey if the coaches felt it was best
  7. Not if the umps don't blow the whistle straight away as in my example
  8. How does that operate? Sorry, don't follow NRL nor live in Aust
  9. The AFL has the most ludicrous advantage rule in professional sport. In most sports, if there is a free, the ump will signify it with a raised arm and let play go, if there is an advantage (and they get a chance to assess it this way) play on. No advantage, blow the whistle and pay the free. Implementing it in the AFL would lead to less confusion and a more free flowing game.
  10. Just watched the game again. How disgusting is the cowardly bump Cam Guthrie lays from behind on Jetta as retaliation for Jetta's shepherd. On that, how pathetic was Healy's attempt at justifying the bump. Healy, weak as [censored]
  11. I was critical of the club for their poor form earlier in the year with one of their functions, so only fair I praise them after this. Well done to the club, I hope the lessons have been learnt and we run things successfully like this in the future, keep up the good work
  12. of course it is a big if, but we forget how good he could have been. he wasnt the quickest playe, but neither was he slow and that's the only almost criticism I had of him in his first two years, preferred him of Voldemort and Martin. he has been out a long time, but IF he can get his body right, I have no doubt that this outstanding young man will return to the AFL and return successfully
  13. if he can get his body right, regain full fitness with the speed he had in his first few years, he would become one of the first 10 selected each week IMO.
  14. i considered JT the best of his class, thought he showed a lot more than Scully and said so then.
  15. Didn't you hound and hound HH for not sticking to his word? To a ridiculous degree if I remember correct. Turns out you are two peas in a pod.
  16. Find it staggering that people are proposing 3 or 4 changes after the best team performance in many years
  17. from memory a poster's Mum, a dog's fan, wrote to him about his bias a long time ago. He responded, in a ridiculously condescending manner
  18. "after they have had a shocking few weeks" the sack of manure said. At least Brown corrected him. Wish the poster who had the letter Derbrain sent to the guys mum would post it, humiliate the dog.
  19. So happy, for the players and us. Especially thrilled for those brave Demons who ventured to Kardinia park and got to see it live
  20. TBH right now I agree with you. But Roos won a flag and got within a kick of a second, by coaching a style despised by many, but he backed himself and won. So while I see your point, I can only hope he has his reasons, ones that will make us better in the long run...
  21. Have seen Toumpas put his body on the line a few times over the last month. Have seen Terlich pick and choose when to go in the past
  22. This player needs a good hard look in the mirror. If you are a fringe player in the worst performing team of the decade, the odds are that the younger players are better than you. The odds are that you have had many chances and failed to grasp them and it's probably safe to say that you are just not good enough and you should be thankful for the chances you had. Seriously, it's not like there's been many 'fringe' players tearing it up for Casey and not being given a chance.
  23. Looking forward to this game, one we must win. Roost it beat me to it with the prediction, though I was going to say 42 points. I would love to see both Stretch and ANB play, leave out Spencer, Terlich and either Pigdog or Mitchie. If Riley is selected, play him as sub
