  1. Last year GWS offered pick 7 for Howe in a stronger draft. They made such an offer not because Howe was worth that but because he has an ability to execute one of the most exciting skills of the game better than anyone else I have seen. His marking abilities excite the crowd like few other individual acts. It is perfect for either of the new franchises to help excite their lifeless crowds and so Howe is perfect for either of these creations. Bennell, potentially great player, potential three strikes victim who is bringing bad press to the Suns who could desperately do without it. A player that they have backed themselves into a corner with. If the Suns don't trade him, they will have to delist him, pay out his contract and watch him enter the PSD. He is a player a new club would be taking a big risk with. Howe might not get close to Bennell when it comes to overall ability, but a swap of Howe for Bennell is a fair trade IMO, one in which both clubs are taking a risk but in which both clubs could win from the trade
  2. Powell could have been one of the better ones, but we couldn't keep him for long enough. Leoncelli was good, was drafted to Carlton before playing at Old Xav's. Played close to 150 games then continued to contribute to the club by serving on the board for a number of years
  3. Worsfold went to his club and told them about the proposed meeting days before, Adelaide gave the go ahead. How is this any of his fault. Adelaide knew about it, said nothing, waiting to see if Essenscum would ask permission, when they didn't Adelaide went to the media and burnt the lying dogs. Just like their players go squealing to the tribunal every chance they get.
  4. You offer 7 and one of those helpful managers we all love would ask 8....
  5. But someone may have lied to him
  6. Have refrained from commenting as was pretty annoyed. Still am. We have enough underperforming NQR's to move on as it is. Plus we have a weak draft. I find it impossible to believe that Cross would not offer more than these. Then there is the example he sets with his preparation and dedication. Even if he was just depth, is better depth than we have had for quite a long time and when not in the team, he could help teach the youngsters at Casey while playing alongside them. I am baffled by this decision.
  7. Geez, you're a hard task master, wanting elite kicking for half back when your squad already has Vinca and Salem there
  8. Maybe he was so happy as he had just been informed he's getting traded....
  9. Loved his old man, so really hope Jake is good enough to make the list
  10. Would a jerk have a go at a poster for showing a lack of respect when the poster made a point that was very similar to what Sam said? Rhetorical question of course
  11. Congratulations Jesse. Absolute gun. Possibly the only person Prodee loves as much as himself!
  12. No it's not, it's being honest. If he loved the game so much he would have worked harder, something he admits he didn't do.
  13. Pretty certain he got concussed playing for Casey, remember asking Neeld about him and he told me about it.mwas about a week before Neeld got the chop
  14. Didn't know about the concussion, sad to hear. I really liked Sam and desperately wanted him to succeed, but otherwise what I said remains true.
  15. Sam was given a consistent message by his coaches, to improve his defensive side of his game. He didn't and it is why he is no longer an AFL player
  16. I wanted Dayle, but for less than the Hawks paid. Also wanted Jeff...
  17. I would be annoyed if we didn't try recruit Harley. Fit and firing, he could be a massive addition that our list, that is just showing signs of eventually coming good. Massive. The potential rewards outweigh the risks IMO
