  1. Well done all, with special thanks to @WalkingCivilWar. Your convo with Clarry speaks for us all.
  2. I have yet to think my way through how we will go next year. A lot has happened to the game style overall in the AFL. How we create a method that does the Demon DNA but steps into the new breakneck process, and our ability to go between the two, will say a lot about our outcome. Having some forwards there regularly could also help…. top 4 for mine.
  3. Training this Monday, is it at Goshes or snakey Casey?
  4. What’s his thoughts on the academy bidding process? is it ‘broken’? How would he see it being used in a fair way to all? (Ref Mac Andrew, J-UH, 4 academy picks to GCS).
  5. OF COURSE WE GET A POOR GRADE. And of course Collingwood get a top mark. Kick us whilst we are down - we got exactly who we wanted, and didnt pull any ‘surprises’. If that is a C- then good enough for me. We wont know for a few year who is any good or is a bust.
  6. Dragging like a dogs butt on the carpet…

Would need something else back, too. Like their 2nd rounder so we can fill our roster.

Maybe Reid, Brown f/s, upgrade Turner and Andrew as b rookie?
  9. If it was fly it would be front page of everything. No one wants to roll out a positive story about Goody or the Dees atm. Doom and gloom or nothing. Well done on doing a great deed to Goody. I’m sure he wasn’t thinking of the media response whilst he was doing his best to help this poor guy.
  10. I think I’ll wait until Round 6 of the fix-ture. That should give us a sense of where we and everyone else is at. Set expectations from there. i want us to win the flag. Minimum is top 4 plus at least 1 final win.
  11. We may lose a player to ‘home’, but there would be compo or trade value in the move. We should be able to cover any I player, and the capital return could even be positive for us.
  12. March him through the psd….

Has there been any indication that Harry was interested? Of course it is flattering to be wooed, but was there any real sign he wanted go? Or if he is smart it becomes part of his bargaining toolkit for his extension
  14. Can see a future 2nd (36ish) getting it done.
  15. Did he nominate us as F/s under the rules? I saw that Croft nominated the bullies.
  16. If we end up with Reid, Fullarton, McAdam, Dogga jnr and Risk Andrew (maybe these two as rookies and upgrading Turner), then they can get there any way they like!
  17. Pick 4 now 5. With some GCS matching, could be 6 or 7…
  18. It looks like he is joining an even longer queue for a midfield starting role at Sydney than if he stayed at Melbourne.
  19. Future second should do it, with a Coke and minimum chips coming back with Tom.
  20. I think this is a great get. Ready to go backup to max, let kyah and verrel develop at Casey.
  21. They got what they wanted. Big crowds, filth and blues in finals, filth winning the cup.

Grundy was not Jackson. We pinned our hopes on making it so. Jackson checked out of his last dozen games so we have been off our preferred structure for 18 months. We need another ‘jackson’, or need to find another structure that’s works for us. If grundy stays, we need to understand who he is and what he can do, rather than what we want him to do. It would also mean Gawn needs to understand his capabilties and role as well.
  23. So I buy a bag of chips and a coke this year, or I can have a Parma and a pot next year?

I wake this morning and feel like we missed a golden opportunity. Please lord, dont let the Pies get a flag.
