  1. Lever was in rehab, and seemed to by troubled by his Right leg or ankle as he picked up some training supports and carried them back to the truck.
  2. Petty was definitely with the backs
  3. A glorious day to visit Gosh’s to see a training session. Highlights: In the running, Sharp, Pup, Bowey, TMac and Langford all did well. Trac looked like a man amongst boys and also ran strongly. Some of the drills: A zig zag kicking and markng drill, that led to a contested drill where the person on the mark was straight in front, the kicker went straight back but looked at the 45 degree angles to pick out a lead. Think we will go quicker off the mark to players leading from these angles. A contested ball drill. Oliver laid a few beautiful tackles. One passage saw the ball go 3>13>7>16>5 (goal). About as fast as you could read that, too! A forward drill with the bigs contesting and knocking it to ground for a small to sweep ink and either goal, or offload for a goal. Lots of discussion about positioning and strategy. A forward drill concreting on the forward staying in motion, and the small providing a legal block for the forward to roll around and mark. A full ground drill moving the ball fast and good contests between the backs and the forwards. Petty on Roo was worth the watch. Overall, a good session. When things were not going as planned, players were called in and things explained an reset. Some great teaching from the coaches to individuals and lots of good chat and banter amongst the players. Kalani White looks great in Dees colours, and was not out of place. Shane McAdam worked away from the main group, but seemed in good spirits. Cheered hin one as he did some faster laps, got a hey and a smile. Some old guy running around “Working the room” to use his term for it, handing out flyers for the election. Didn’t give me anything, Im obviously not his ‘type’! Will answer any questions that I can.
  4. Impressed with the session. Will report later when I’m a proper keyboard.
  5. It would be great if the club could interview a few of the players about the camp - maybe some anecdotes about the teams event, the school visits and even the training would be great media content. Could have interviews with an older player, an up and comer, and a new draftee. It would be disappointing if the camp goes by without such content being created and shared.
  6. Perfect. Your Observations were insightful, and no BS speculations. not getting heavy, just sick of massive diversions from the great posts of trackwatchers into narratives that are presented as facts, not even speculation. I’m all good, and happy to to lighten up.
  7. Observations are awesome! Direct feedback shared by players is great (like WCW/GW provided). It’s when there are arguments here over ‘what it means’ that this devolves into sewer sludge. My ‘narrative’ vs yours? Glass half full vs glass half empty? I can’t tell which is right. it goes for all reports, its just this Trac focus is strong right now. its ok to wonder, suggest or discuss a possibility, but certainty is no-ones friend when meaning is being imagined…
  8. Observations: what i see Confirmation bias: creating meaning from observations to fit my belief system or narrative. Unless you ask him, anything beyond the observation is useless. All of this Trac is unhappy/brand focused etc inference is without any basis.
  9. Looks in reasonable nick. Hope he has a blinder and proves the doubters wrong!
  10. Thanks to you stars who offer your comments, photos and time to report on training. 3 Brownlow votes to you all!
  11. Gone to Sydney, not matched at #55
  12. What time is the first pick? I can then plan ‘5x5 on the clock’ before we get involved (maybe with a bid, then another 5 mins on the clock and so on….
  13. So his nickname will be ‘Prince’. The younger brother no one really wants???
  14. Me too. Left because she was hounded out by some keyboard warriors. Come back!
  15. Probably right..just feeding back what I heard….
  16. First week of preseason is a camp in country Victoria. (ref Max interview at races, ch7)
  17. Joel Smith to be delisted for us, making -8 and +2 (Campbell + Sharp) = 6 spots Upgrades - McVee and AMW Draft - 5 & 9 ? Rookie - Mentha & Yze ?
  18. Draft Night… boring ‘on the clock’ drivel, fillers about those selected, plenty of ads. thats how it will go. except for 5 and nine, when new heroes are announced….
  19. The rating seems to be heavy with confirmation bias. Did we do what the pundits expected? i wonder if CO13 or CP5 left the building, how we would have been rated. [censored] Morris would have gone into overdrive! I think we did OK, I would say a B or B+, only didnt get Wade D, from the giants. 2 top 10 picks in this draft will be very nice.
  20. Trade future first into this year, plus extra points for next year f/s white and nga talent due through for us
  21. Morris is a bell end
  22. By now, I hope the coaching group have a clear idea of the gameplan they want to enact, and trade and draft to suit that. It seems the game is about defending the corridor more than defending the D50, and having fast players (by hand/foot and running wise) who have above average accuracy in delivery. We will add a couple more talls to our list with Campbell and Derskin, so we should be pretty good in that department. We can then go to the draft and secure midfield nous/run and skills. Other trade targets - none for us I’d suggest at this point. maybe moving points and picks about for this year/next year would be all I can see happening, as we are not a ‘destination’ club atm.
