Im thinking it's possible that 🤔 there is a methodology in play here that some dont suspect. It plays out like this. Neither the Club nor Petracca blatantly come out and request/suggest a trade. What happens is their intermediaries ponder a hypothetical whereby trades are offered and or invited and how would all and sundry feel about such a thing ? This discussion about "hypotheticals" moves to locations , clubs all the whiles it's just a 'nothing' discussion as no one has formally asked/suggested anything. These ripples find there way to other club's people who are invited to join the discussions...about "nothing" The 🎪🤡🎪 officially hits town. Any number of 'empowered' representatives are hobnobbing and partaking of coffees and frothies just shooting the breeze..... Slowly ( and it's trade time...so it's glacial ) a few bits of a puzzle start falling into place. As this occurs different opportunities and options appear ( where nothing existed before... very important...all that "nothing" ) As some trades move from pencil to ink players who had not even realised they might be on the move suddenly find the ground beneath them move. Some players warm to the idea, some don't. Trees are shaken and things move. All but returning full circle to where some discussions started intermediaries of specific club's report back to clients/fd that lo and behold should Player X wish he might be invited to join Club Y or Club Z. Club M reports back if this or more specifically 'that' was offered then they might agree . And with no further ado player X informs Club M he would like a trade to Club Z. If the hypotheticals resulted in nothing... then nothing happened 😉

Well apparently he told two forum members that he HAD signed. Now I've absolutely no reason to either doubt the word of these posters nor believe they have any reason to lie . Do you ?

Schroedinger's dilemma 🤔 My take Redlegs suggestion whilst plausible is highly improbable. Im not thinking players managers play hide and seek so much. So in lieu of Schroedinger I opt for Occam. The simple reality that he fibbed to those he thought or felt he had to in order to progress his chosen path seems far more likely. We're not talking Gorky Park here.... just the G and environs.

Like you really care what a 22 wantaway thinks ?? It's his life/career. This had 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 all over it months back. When little made sense, when events didn't marry with 'intents' there was but one logical conclusion.....and here we are today. He wants to go home.... fine by me. Dees..... need to exact a decent return... And we move on. Just another naughty boy 😉

I'm not thinking the club is one bit surprised. The language was there all along. I disregard anything he apparently said, as is often the way actions speak louder. Personally I dont give a 🐀🐀🐀🐀 A very average player for mine. This just helps King develop a new team. Onwards and upwards. I do have empathy for those that trusted him.

I hope King took note of yesterday's tackling by the Lions. That was elite. Not just the power but the method. Geelong reminded me of.... well.... us.... half hearted one handed 💩 Brisbane tackled with purpose, effect and a nice little nuance of menace . Quite simply thats how you do it ; master-class.

Actually have fond memories of the Linton ground. Mate and his brothers all rabid Ainters. Sitting up on the wall behind the northern goals... laughing as kids on their bikes nicked the wayward sherrins. Watching the animal enclosure off to our right... lovely chaps 😉. Took turns getting the tinnies. Good days. Been to that Drive in but preferred Sandy. Now the stories about the 6 😉 lol You may recall the old Moorabin hotel... another salubrious establishment. I see now how i might have been hasty..

This ought to be reported as an offence to sensibilities !! Apart from a thousand other reasons... he's not that good.
