  1. A particular #4 was a very nice kick. Well he was
  2. Probably the only joy I will get this weekend regarding us playing the filth. Fond memory. Thanks Jack 👏 ( take note who touched that "almost" goal too 😉 )
  3. That WOULD be a logical approach. ....and obvious. Bizarre really.
  4. Sorry... that went past you.. My post was referring to D Rev assertion that the "average" person doesn't work weekends or Thrsday/Friday evenings . It was a loose pointing to the many people in hospitality and tourism to say nothing of shift workers...in factories ...or Hospitals, Etc etc. I.e.. they ( footy players ) are hardly hard done by.
  5. You won't do all things at all times. You might need to do some things a lot of times. It really oughtn't be a Lotto everytime a Demon kicks for goal. 🤷
  6. You're very close to something. I'd extend your thinking by suggesting its because there's no clear, defined artfulness in our forward structure and craft which leaves far to much to effectively chaos theory in approach to scoring. It's as unregimented as our skills. Our forward game is NOT built upon skill it's built upon pressure. And my oh my does our scoring exhibit the effects of that.
  7. Believe it or not that is as much of the why you practice as the physical. Is to train your mind as well as the method. As I said. Technique and Mindfullness. One becomes the other. Kinda Zen. Wax on...Wax off
  8. My comments were straight up. Still... I played burb footy. We trained invariably under lights and in the cold. It either rained or it didn't. Hated it, but it did condition you. Hell some grounds hardly had grass in areas by mid winter. Goalsquares were akin to a sty . There's no excuse for poor kicking at this level. As to the decision making of some as to what kind of kick under particular conditions and orientation to goal... just beggars belief. Borders on lairising imo. My expectations of this team are seldom met. Appreciate your efforts Mr Kev . Cheers
  9. Yes,such cults talk a load
  10. So what can I get you.... beer, wine, something else ?? Think about it
  11. To not take goal kicking with the requisite respect... that goes borderline PSD The whole game centres on goalkicking after all.
  12. I mean.. it's a Winter Game ffs The poor diddums
  13. System ?? We don't need no stiiiiinkinggggg SYSTEM !!
  14. Helps get the Kum By Yah harmonies in tune 😉
  15. Roos nailed it years ago. Draft for talent , Trade for need. Totally [censored] up the latter imho
  16. Lever is actually very good at knowing where the ball is. Actually a very good asset for a forward. You can intercept just as well forward as you can back. It would introduce an interesting dynamic into fwd incursions ... imho. It's only an idea . His time might be getting close to "up" down back. As is...tbh...May We still need to think outside the box. The box is getting beaten.
  17. Well said Mr M Pretty pizz poor that some seem 'above' the basics. Spot on...so much attitude related. Back from 'holidays' ... just easing into the tide. Nice for them
  18. I've had strange thinking of keeping May back with Tmac and Disco. But throwing Lever fwd with Petty and Friita. Sounds absurd, probably is. Just getting maverick with the magnets. What we have isn't working well. Need to mix up forward. Not convinced that either JVR or Jeffo are AFL solutions.
  19. Falls... currently -2c Might get the Rossi's edged and waxed 🎿❄️🍷🧀
  20. [censored]... just marveee Get better Jack.... all the best Oi Vey !! 🥴
  21. Right in it all right... right in the .....
  22. Goes by the name ... Eddie
  23. There are only two things that affect set shot kicking. Technique, Mindfulness Technique can be practised. Mindfulness can be taught. Seems we do neither. ( well.. neither very well !! )
  24. Just change the date Andy.. Gunna be same same
