Thats essentailly along the lines of the offer I beleive...Hed probably end up with 400-450 dependinig on output etc.. But as 007 correcctly assumes ( I think ) he might get a smifdge more elsewhere without so many proviso's. But im with you, and others here, hes OK without being brilliant. He's frustrating to the max. Youre not going to win a premiership with that caliber Im affraid

wasting your breath there OLD....not everyone wants to see past their rosey glasses !!!
-
Im not blind....nor as stupid as some ... He obvously doesnt want to do the hard yards at Melbourne for 400...hed be happy to go elsewhere wothout (or maybe with same conditions ) for greater.. Im happy for him to go And he does have an attitude problem. Its documented and there for all of us to see as he's incapable of putting 4 qtrs together and is known to go walk abouts against harder more demanding treams. Youre a great apologist for mediocrity 007. Some here have much higher aspirations for our team.

I beleive given the money hes wanting that this ( performance based ) is the sticking point. Here in lies the impasse !!..Doesnt seem to want to back himself in

semantics surely.... Bet the bookies would think so

The Captain .....does he really get it ??

Please...no shared captaincy. Wed be that lucky one would be thinking its the other's job Lets see who is actually at the club for 2012. Trengove is ready, carries himself well on and off.. Doesnt go walk abouts when pressure's on. Has poise. Seems very purposeful. -
I disagree completely. Both circumstances youre manioulating a team sheet to benefit an outcome. Yes the outcomes are chalk and cheese but they are both different to what you might expect with full sheets.

Pies ponder topend tank ******COLLINGWOOD coach Mick Malthouse says the potential Round 24 blockbuster between Geelong and the Magpies could end up a total fizzer. Malthouse said yesterday he was not concerned about finishing on top of the ladder and more interested in ensuring his players were fit and rested for finals. He suspected Geelong might enter the game with a similar philosophy, which means a much-anticipated contest may end up a stalemate between sides well below full strength.****** So Micky...its all very well if youre on top of things to MANAGE your team selction for best club benefit...but not if you're on the bottom ?? Such sanctimonious hypocrisy !!!! Dont do as I do......etc..etc.

We need to get this clubs mentality out of the "Long Room" and into Sweat House. I applaud the notion of the club embracing its Heritage and romancing about past glories but you cant help but think at times the Club is just stuck in the 50's. Its never really moved forward from those halycon days. i.e Things are sh!t ...but ahhh, remember the Smith/Barassi era... Things are still crap...but weve always got Checker.. !! Were not just a Victorian team were almost a Victorian era one . All rah rah ... You just dont get the impression theres enough 'realism ' about the club at times. -
Would it be too rich to suggest that teh AFL will protect the Dwarfs with a cotton-wool draft next year. Only one game against the games real giants and then at home. ??

Keep inmind his jobis to stir the pot, keep GWS in the news etc etc. We're easy targets

Soory Old..youre right of course.. It just seems far too predictable piece of fish wrap coming from the HUN..was it written Friday ?? lol Im with you that Col ought to stay there..but doubt he will. Id happily bring in Warnock...and rest......lol.. well many could fill that in for me Id treat maybe al lbar the WCE as "development" and trial some kids... who knows what we may unearth. go Dees

dont forget that all important ONE tackle !! phoar !! Must forget... of those 4 kicks he held up 2 long enough to get a pie. I think Carlton fell asleep waiting fo rthe ball to come in afterwards and by all means Jared ...its much preferable to kick to outweighed contest...yes siree bob !! If it was for the coupl eof decent fist aways each game I truly wonder as to his worth. Yes, folks, im not his greatest fan. I'll come clean. Hes slow off the mark now ( been that way for a few seasons, just what is) Opponents easily get in fornt of him and his second efforts..are.... sporadic. Its a damn shame as fewer read the ball better than he does. Its infuriating to watch at times. I ask you...would Jared have attempted to chase down Garlett ??

Youd almost wonder whether the Hun was actually there or got its info secondhand

Careful Robbie...you silly old man...they're collecting wood for your pyre Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Im certainly with you in wondering what the club saw in some, other than as you suggest the general view of the masses. Not all will turn out but theres been some doosies...and yet some surprises. Ive only had teh opportunity to watch half a casey game this season..( just passing..sorta ) and its always easy with the right coloured glasses to imagine this bloke or that might get somewhere but Im reluctant to cal lthem now as the last I thought to really be a shower ( Maric ) just confounds me to be honest. As much of a non-fan of Morton He certainly seems to have switched the ON button this week and will ( should) be called up. its going to be interesting to see how he goes withthe bigger faster harder lads of the WCE as compares the flufff of Sandy. Sylvia will probably get a gig also having done his penance in the magoos....wondewr if its sunk into him yet as to whats really expected of him...i.e 4 qtrs.not 1 or 2. Id seriously like to put it out there as its been a Demon's curse I would question too should he start to put a few together whetherh it was fair dinkum or the ulterior motive of showcasing himself comes to the fore. Just in time for contracts etc. Weve been burnt time and time again by players utilising this ruse. We'll need Liam, otherwise the goal kicking will be to predictable and easily covered. I would like to see Todd experiment with a few before years out, not just for its own sake but to give a couple of lads a chance. It wont matter to the outcome. And speaking of outcomes many , media included, not so long ago would have chalked up the last three games to us. That would be brave now. . Richmond have shown more backbone and GC will provide a contest and must think they have a sniff. Port about the only 'given' Well lets just hope the familiar grass of the G bodes well.

Rule out Choko...Not interested according to various media reports today. Choko staying put Choko plays it cool on Demons

Unfortunately there is sfa evidence to the contrary !!

Sylvia in his 8 th season doesnt show the application and consistency that a 1 and a 2 season player do.!!!! I know the type of player I would want to keep and emulate. I also know who needs a good kick.... and a wake up...and he'll possibly enjoy that at a new home. FCS..if he doesnt know what he is supposed to do by now !!!!

Spot on synopsis... Add him to the trade pile yep OLD very familair isnt it.

I like this this.. far too poignant for most ( unfortunately ) I fully understand mammoth treks are but journeys of steps , there really wasnt that quanitative leap of statement achieved this week. And there should have been , Garry knew it. and said so.. Good. more of it please -

Lyon is no more conflicted than anyone who works the media side as well as a Club role. He has the courage of his convictions , and his passion to offer up what needs to be heard. Hes obviously tired of some of these supposed professionals abdicating their responsibilities and offering up dross. Here, at last, a fresh clear vision of where we're at.. The time for kid-glove glossing over the poor little darlings is over. Here we have someone who understands football at the coalface. Theres no shirking the contest nor the lamentable results presented to date. Its actually time for Jim to step back as the designer of the recovery and allow the real tradesman to work the tools and build something. As with any construction there will be some mess, some waste and a very real chance of bruises ( to egos ) . Whilst Admin can be done white collar...the FD needs to be adressed as blue collar.. Go Garry !!!
