  1. you will need to upload the pics to a web based image sever like image shack or flickr and then link them to this forum
  2. So we have revisionists, envisionists, divisionists and in all likely fictionalists. What does it matter....its over, past. Nothing can change, its already happened and been dealt with. The course as the club was travelling was untenable and was summarily 'corrected'. That was then....and what we have currently is the now. There was was the notion that the winner got to write history but that no longer occurs as everyone wants to broadcast there version lest someone esle does it for them. We now have a collection of what many would observe to be the truth but in reality they are only their takes on it. It is often mused here that as were arent privy to the actual machinations of the club ( in the main ) that most of what we deal with are extrapolations built on suspicions or beliefs. Is thsi related to the truth of matters ? What do we actaully know ? Well wee know the team was performing abysmally. We understood the club to have concerns abouts the ability and direction the coaching was taking it. We know there was a verry bad day in Geelong where it all came to a head. Now it gets murky. Something now had to give , and in a big way. It did. The End
  3. whats done is done...and we move on.
  4. They find them apeeling !!
  5. DC..cant let that slide to far.. its a given that he was out that night drinking. Had he not been he would have been quite capable of driving his own bloody car. Out on the turps = having a drink (or 5 ) Now given the issues that hes been remonstrated for do you really want to argue he wasnt ?
  6. No we just dont accept we look bad because he did. On the contrary we come out looking pretty fair dinkum. Its Team Scully that look the dodgy lot. He was always going to go. In fact you might say he was more gone than here for all the time he was at Melbourne. To put it into modern parlance... Its not US...its HIM !!
  7. Costa v Mafia I like this guy !! My wifes family used to do the FnV . Some of the stories .....yikes !!
  8. that kinda funny isnt it (ta)
  9. who DOES Dehnam support ? curious
  10. The "mayor" abandoned them !! They're hacks !!!
  11. Sorry, I have trouble reconciling those two lines. We lost him, Couldnt do anything about it, we look bad ??? Quite frankly you just made the argument for the other side !!
  12. ring or email the club. Could be anywhere this time of year. Season proper is a bt more regimented.
  13. It could be..certainly if he had said "We NOW have a coach who is serious" then no intpretation would be required. Im inclined to think its a case of.. the coach we have is a very serious coach....and thats hes just obviously talking about the 'now" Shades of grey possibly
  14. I dont quite agree. His job was as I think we can all see now , in the first two years was to maximise draft pix. I.e To tank. Call it by any name you like...what IS...IS. But did that make him any less serious as a coach ? I fail to see the corelation. I think he was as serious a coach as any. Serious -yes; successful-no. I think Dehnam is ...well , agenda driven. Its hard enough at times getting those on the list who turn up and train and get selected to even give a bras razzooo when playing let alone someone who obviosul feels conflicted and out of sorts , so much so that he just ups and goes walkabout. Wona has his own issues to deal with and I , as would all, wish him allthe best. Hope he gets it al together and he can continue to enjoy his life. But as Ive said often this business, AFL footy , is not about being some benevolent hospice. Its first and foremost a business. Its business is successful football. if someone doesnt want to be part of it, so be it. You can only do so much before you turn your attention to the well being of ALL. I can only agree with those that suggest Aussies contribution was far greater in 'the eyes' of many than it actually was. Thats not to denigrate , only to foster perspective. We all want our 'characters' ; we all want our club to have its heroes etc. He was great to watch , but in reality he was hardly there. The writing was on teh wall, in very big letters. The club made the correct decision , the only decision. Not everyone makes it. Thats life.
  15. What was the occasion i.e the dinner that Neeldy attended ?
  16. I was only noticing yesterday that we no longer seem to have an Car on board. I wonder if they need to sponsor though. Still that part of the automarket is red hot. Subi have a new line up ( in the main ) for 2012...so who knows Have only an interest in Subi as it happens, for the wife wants one ...lol . Funny thing ina way for him to tweet . Nicely noticed there Walshy. Its all a game ...lol
  17. Oh yes...he certainly does. Delusional comes to mind. I hadnt given that much credence to the notion he really has a particular 'thing' for us . But I think he does. Must have been dropped as a baby by someone wearing devil horns I suspect. ( and onbiously not hard enough ) He makes KB seem quite informed and balanced by comparison Thats an achievement !!!
  18. The unfortuante aspect you missed...not surprisingly Billy is that Old was seeing the old hankook and kasperky logos earlier as his page ( cache ) hadnt refreshed. that was the context. You obviously didnt garner that as youre too focused on what I did or didnt say . .must be fun for you. I perfectly understand that you would be more familar with simple than I.
  19. Billy , just for you this was the actual comment I was replying to...not the one youve quoted context: Old mentioned the 2012 sponsors and then said but no longer on the front page to which I replied that the EW was indeed there , as indicated. I misunderstood. Possibbly as you have
  20. lol... the social media buttons are a bit askew in terms of links. Someones doing a bit of work there, still wouldnt have thought it would need to affect the style sheet. Spose theyll get it all right eventually
  21. Sorry Old..I misunderstood you to think you meant you saw NO sponsors. The only major sponsor at present is the EW as indicated. H and K having gone off to where ever. The EW link now directs to EW...hehe Does anyone know if we get a discount at OfficeWorks by the way ?
  22. Youre confusing sobriety for driving with abstenace in view of attending your job. Cols job was to be fit for training . That required him to abstain from drinking for a period prior. He didnt . Is it though too far to draw a bow to deduce he at least considered himself above your mentioned limit of .05 ? He wasnt driving after all, so why ?and I dont for a minute suggest he ought to have been , thats not the point. Its been mentioned by some that theyve been out for a drink before attending work the next day so what the broughaha. But in those circumstances was it pointedly a condition that they didnt ? Were talking about elite sporting environments. Not an office job. Part of being in tip top condition prior to embarking on team training would in all probability preclude an eveing of inbibing. The club took this stance, IR-Eade held it too. The SJ comnparison is interesting. That club acted upon a situation ( and arguably a different one in some respects ) but took to setting a standard for players. Its hardly looked back from that juncture.and added to the cupboard in the process. I suppose it all comes down to whether youve come to play ....or work.
