  1. funny.....sliding doors OD...sliding doors...and windows that slam shut
  2. I can think of other years when barracking for my team was everything a younger fan could do I could never see finals for there were always better rivals How can you mend a broken team How can you stop the raining goals How can what's begun stop declining What makes this club go round ? How can you mend, this broken team How do these losers ever win please help them mend this broken start and let them play again I can still taste the Bries pass the mussels if you'd please and a dusty Sangiovese while I cry we will never watch'em in finals been outplayed by better rivals how can you mend a broken team how do we stop them falling down …....
  3. According to Goodwin he'll stay on the wing ? .. because he's so good there !! ??
  4. With all due respect...we need to do much more than that. 666./ Kick ins....nothing to do with 4 players to the ball 666/kick ins.... nothing to do with bombing 666/kickins ....nothing to do with spoiling own marks 666/kickins... nothing to do with not running two ways 666/kickins.... nothing to do with ridiculous defense 666/kickins ....nothing to do with lack of pressure. Yes we need to adapt.... maybe we first start by adapting to AFL !!!!
  5. So... provided it's all different...we have a chance....right O
  6. Well be the only ones congested or haven't you been watching us lately. Clever teams allow us to play stacks on the mill.
  7. If he's any good ( really ) Dew will try to keep him. If he doesn't...we probably don't want him
  8. The SCG has always played effectively half a kick shorter. It's not really that much shorter, just plays that way. As I view it, the new kick in strategy will put the swannies practically into attack position from that long kick in , especially against teams with poor defense structure. I fear we'll be opened up like a can of beans.
  9. We have NO influence at AFL They toy with us.
  10. The honest answer is no-one really knows. The problem, as such with chunk , since that very first game I saw against North , is that he's a see ball get ball type. Nate doesn't play a very complex style. He's a meat and three veg in and under inside mid. Occasionally he finds the sticks which always surprises me as he can hardly ever find a team mate with a properly weighted pass. But he is Melbourne through and through and he's been there when it counted. Unfortunately...the game is going past him at a great rate of knots . He's gone from reliable (in a fashion ) to liability. Funny thing is he's still plays a more accountable game than some, and that's saying something !! I guess Jones gets to play until someone really pushes him aside. That might be season's end at that might be it. Season's heading for a bust anyway. I honestly have no idea where he should play now. I'm not sure it matters.
  11. Have a sneaky suspicion it might be the other way round Am expecting a masterclass from buddy on Thursday... who's going to stop him ?
  12. It could Chookrat. I don't currently share your confidence. The game's changed...and we didn't. Maybe not your view and that's fair enough. Would love to see a vibrant winning Melbourne, I really would. You see one eternal problem for me regarding football is I don't believe one word clubs/players say. Invariably it's tailored to sounding like empty platitudes meaning nothing. I like your optimism. Go Dees
  13. Is my thinking as well. But who knows
  14. It all depends on one ideal...applied from two directions. Change. A change in who's fit and available A change in the game plan. Really...until the latter is applied the former will have only a modicum of impact.
  15. Most certainly. All quite bizarre iyam.
  16. Casey.. Cranbourne... Creswick....not really that fussed
  17. Certainties to win...or lose lol . Just asking. I reckon we're a dead set cert this week
  18. I'm not sure any ground particularly suits us especially a smaller ground against very quick opposition. Just imagine ( painful as it is ) just how quickly Sydney can go coast to coast on their beloved turf ( non-lawn, paddock ) ?? From extended kickins..quick flick to Buddy... goodnight Irene. This is a monumental blood bath in the making.Fun days ahead.
  19. 18.4 20.10 Already erased last week ? lol
  20. noted, hence my suggesting "a stepping up " Like yourself perhaps...I'm not seeing it...just love the notion that he might be able to. It'd be a focus for him. At least it would enable Jones to bow out meaningfully. As present he's a liability.
