Yep FA stops a week before trade ends. Still only provides a week unencumbered trade. Personally I reckon FA should finish a week earlier still allowing a fortnights trading with all knowing where they stand. (maybe next year )

Theres a certain reality about that. Youd almost think it worth the while to end the FA comonent a week earlier than end of trade "week" It started a week earlier, it ought to finish similar. This in order to allow all the other dominos to fall in a reasonable time.In a way the AFL has shot itself in the foot. It elongated ttrade week to minimise the panic and allow better deals to occur in a more measured way but the FA effect causes the same at the end. I suspect it will change for 2013.
