another player who performs in a completely different role at vfl level compared to what is expected from him at afl level he looks like an inside midfielder to me, which is the role he plays at vfl level for mine, there are clear concerns over his speed and his skills his attitude and intent look excellent

wow, that would be enormous it's why i think a player (e.g. pedlar, fioroni) plus a 2025 1st round and 2026 1st round is probably our best bet getting his entire contract off the books is a win in and of itself

i don't think we need another 'proven ruck' we need a ruck who is capable of performing at afl level, has good form at lower level, and is under the age of 25 - that's max heath bringing in two big experiened key forwards is an impossibility - we'll get one, in brody mihocek we don't need a big experienced defender given that we're getting rid of our most experienced one - wade derksen will come in as a younger, inexperienced key defender, with harrison petty a possibility to return to defence as well killer mids don't grow on trees - looks like we might lose one (petracca) and re-balance our midfield with promising younger players instead

they can't any player being traded needs to agree to the trade; there's no trading 'without consent' in the afl it's very different to almost every other sport, primarily because we are a small fry competition and the salaries are tiny in comparison with other organisations at an international level

went from being the deepest forward to playing a more roaming role in the back half of the year and he looked completely freed up and much more impactful as a result one of the few players who i have faith in in front of goal

i honestly thought he was going to go down in history as one of the greatest mfc players and absolutely our best midfielder of all time what's happened to him since 2022 is just terrible to have seen unfold

with mcvee leaving, his supposed skills that look fine in the vfl will be desperately needed to translate to afl level i have my doubts...

funny thing is... is he even in the best back 7 for flagmantle, which already looks seriously good? all these guys played 17 or more games in 2025 - clark, ryan, cox, chapman, worner, banfield, wagner, and pearce just misses out with 16 times hitting the field who does mcvee get in ahead of? wagner, who moves onto a defensive wing position?
