  1. angus brayshaw is one of the worst users of the football i have ever seen
  2. it feels like 2013 all over again
  3. brayshaw looks completely disinterested typical melbourne player; had his best year in his contract year
  4. massive tackle oliver on coniglio
  5. maggots gonna maggot... well that was an appalling quarter and we're only 10 points down
  6. brayshaw goes the bump not the tackle wtf
  7. both sides awful so far tbh
  8. my god brayshaw is so slow
  9. we haven't had it forward yet, which is a bit ominous
  10. our disposal is, as ever, atrocious
  11. not really... afl: https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/afl-to-announce-2b-broadcast-deal-20150818-gj1ppz.html News Corporation to pay about $1.3 billion of a record $2.508 billion six-year deal the league has struck nrl: https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/nrl-inks-18-billion-record-tv-rights-deal-20151126-gl8nvg.html News Corp's Fox Sports set to pay around $1 billion for the pay television portion of the rights cricket: http://theconversation.com/seven-and-foxtel-snag-cricket-rights-meaning-more-content-but-maybe-not-for-free-94976 Foxtel will pay A$100 million per year and promises to “show every ball of every over bowled in Australia”, also part of the new deal. Foxtel will have a dedicatedcricket channel. so it's actually: afl: $1.3bn / 6 years = ~$220m pa nrl: $1bn / 5 years = ~$200m pa cricket: $1bn / 6 years = ~$170m pa a LOT of that value will be contra advertising too, so the actual cost of it could be less
  12. those numbers are wrong; news corp's contribution is more like: afl: $1.3bn / 6 years = $220m pa nrl: $1bn / 5 years = $200m pa cricket: $800m / 6 years = $133m pa (although this last one is a guesstimate cos i couldn't find actual breakdown of figures it's not fox sports tier 1 sports that are a drain on foxtel finances
  13. the general consensus seems to be that scott has another gig lined up, be it at carltank or the aints i think he's tactically quite astute, but i'd argue north's list is 'better' than carltank's, and about par with the aints it's not like his twin, who inherited a champion team - if they hadn't won that premiership in his first year in charge i wonder what would have happened to him, given the puddy tatts' taxpayer advantages and incredible 'star' recruiting really, cats should've at least made a couple more gf's in his time at the club and, fwiw, i think the cats are clearly the premiership faves at this point in time
  14. i disagree; he's no daisy but he's better than ling, bartel, or most others i wonder what crowd this dreamtime game will get given the weather? amazing how meth coke just keep winning despite not looking good; sure the umpire's helped but they know that they're never out of it
  15. because he has shown no ability to run out a game of football at afl or vfl level
  16. the idea of not playing gawn as starting ruck is absurd in the extreme he's arguably the best ruckman in the competition...and you want to station him forward of the ball, thus limiting his power of tapwork and incredible mobility?
  17. this and sadly probably retired / delisted at the end of the year too...disastrous recruiting
  18. gw$ players going down like ninepins but they're absolutely striking carltank out
  19. bit wet at adelaide oval i wonder if gc17 can find a way to lose another close one - they've made an art form of it thus far in 2019
  20. that's not a bad back six plus two defensive wingmen big q's around fitness of may and lever, and continued development of petty
  21. mrp gives jetta a week
  22. i reckon he could be a significantly more valuable player than cox fitness remains his biggest issue
  23. sounds like everyone got thru vfl with no more concerns? theoretically it could be... Injury List: Round 10 Jordan Lewis (ankle) – test Alex Neal-Bullen (concussion) – test Christian Salem (concussion) – test Tim Smith (concussion) – test Sam Weideman (soreness...hip?) – test Mitch Hannan (knee) – 1 week Jay Kennedy Harris (knee) – 1 week Steven May (groin) – 2-3 weeks Michael Hibberd (broken collarbone) – 2-4 weeks Jake Melksham (foot) – 4-5 weeks Joel Smith (groin) – 5-7 weeks Aaron vandenBerg (foot) – 5-7 weeks Neville Jetta (knee) – 9-11 weeks Kade Kolodjashnij (concussion) – Indefinite Guy Walker (shoulder) – Indefinite Aaron Nietschke (knee) – Season it remains a seriously large list of injured players
