  1. Had no chance to take three kids but once they found it wasn’t at Luna Park this year their interest was dissipated I would have loved to interact with the Dees players when I was 7-11, but kids these days just don’t see it as that exciting to meet professional athletes
  2. Tom’s kicking at goal actually reminds me of Darren Bennett - deliberate approach and high kicking leg action
  3. I always thought he had the capacity to be the second best mid taken in that draft class, just behind Kelly Had no idea Bont would become a mid or Cripps would go to his Oliver-like level Still think Salem can be right up there with those mentioned Such a smooth mover
  4. most ridiculous fine ever
  5. it's going to be interesting to see where he fits into the side by the end of 2020 a permanent midfielder? a dusty-a-like who can switch btw mid and forward? a primary forward with occasional stints in the middle? just how good can he become - clearly he's a fairly exciting talent, but at the moment he only finished 7th in the b&f last year despite being now widely lauded by the stats boffins as a 'elite' for his position - remains to be seen but definitely one of the most exciting talents at the dees seen since, well, since jesse hogan joined the club

No white on any logo ever again thanks We are red and blue Melbourne Demons, not Footscray!! Dave Larkin’s logo = best logo

i expect he'll stay and be made their captain i'd have him, absolutely, but i think in order to entice him to leave you'd be paying big $$ and quite frankly we have other priorities
  8. from all reports sloane is headed to the saints and tom lynch is on his way collingwood, both for huge money it'll be interesting to see what happens with gaff...we've chased him a couple of times, haven't we?
  9. i'm not a massive fan, but i bet it sells like hotcakes
  10. finals are the expectation in 2018 1 geelong 2 sydney 3 port adelaide 4 footscray 5 richmond 6 melbourne 7 adelaide 8 gw$ ----------------------- 9 peptides 10 meth coke 11 hawthorn 12 fremantle 13 bears 14 the filth 15 st. kilda 16 gc17 17 north melbourne 18 carlton but who knows, it's such a chook lotto as to what will happen
  11. First Shaun, now Mitch Everything is coming up Marshes
  12. Honestly, there is no need for umpires whatsoever anymore Invest in the technology and get rid of the glorified cost racks
  13. it'll be interesting to see where he sits - seems like a player that has rocketed into the top 5, with brisbane and freo (both interstate sides) seemingly keen for underage watchers, is he better than gus? my biggest criticism of gus (other than his unfortunate inability to stay on the park) is that he misses those 'dolly' kicks from 35m that should scythe through the air to a teammate - too often they go wide, high or short it's funny really, cos he seems fine kicking it long
  14. Jack Trengove has signed a one-year deal with Port Adelaide. He joins the club as a delisted free agent.
  15. 16 disposals @ 81.2% efficiency, 6 marks, 3.5 rebound 50s, and 6.1 1%ers a game... can't wait to see this kid in a dees guernsey next season
  16. gibbs could easily play another 6 or 7 seasons he's never had massive fitness issues and has never been 'quick' so is unlikely to lose his pace both lever and gibbs are win-win deals for mine
  17. i like the way in the highlights for peel he picked the ball up at pace and then used it smartly there's no doubt that he's always had talent, but it's been his wrist injury and attitude / commitment that have been questioned
  18. wasn't he originally touted as a potential midfield option when coming through the draft?
  19. made sense then, makes sense now
  20. If you were to rate them now I’d actually go: Lever Marchbank Petracca Miller Maynard The maturity of Miller and Maynard as youngsters in (relatively) struggling sides has been super impressive And people who are down on Trac shouldn’t be - his consistency and approach to his football has, I think, been terrific
  21. Rationalize it as 7 first round picks over 7 years and you might feel better (2012-18) Lever is a jet; can’t wsit to see him run out for us in round 1
  22. gone! out for 152!! what an innings for a 21 year old...the sort of player you can build a side around not flashy, but just gets the job done very happy with the deal personally - kid is a jet and it was beholden on us to get it done
  23. i have absolutely no issues giving 2017 and 2018 first rounder for lever and X, whatever X may be (late 2017 first / early 2017 second, or 2018 second) the kid is a jet it makes me think of what paul roos said, which is that the biggest battle with these sorts of deals is getting the player across the line - from there, it's beholden upon the trading in club (that is us in this instance) to get the deal done i'm confident we will, and we won't look back in 2018 and beyond
  24. shot! been a slow and steady innings for jake, but he brings up the 150
