  1. 6: Hogan 5: Pedersen 4: Jones 3: Hibberd 2: Melksham 1: Oliver lewis, tyson, trac next cabs off the rank
  2. H is for Hansen...not Heritier... Sheahan was bang on the money about Lewis leaving the Hawks, and was pilloried before it came out as true Here's hoping he's on the money re Lever too
  3. best thing about the report that it fired him up for the last 10-15 minutes of the game and he started to use his pace around the contest
  4. he had a decision to make and he made the wrong one - instead of going for the mark and opening his body up, he opted to tuck his arm in and jump into the contest with the express purpose of taking his opponent out rather than go for the ball
  5. fantastic he's become a pretty important best 22 player
  6. look at the time that i posted it; when he was getting pantsed by tippett he was okay - he'll definitely put pressure on the likes of hannan, harmes and petracca tomorrow to play well enough to keep in the side ahead but he wasn't in the best for mine that report should be thrown out because he didn't hit him hard enough, but he still jumped into him to do it and it was the lack of willingness to go for the mark in the contest that was disappointing
  7. he hit him, took him to ground in the hit, got reported for his troubles - didn't knock him out, no, but it was a dumb act
  8. of the dees i would say: watts: an almost game, has amazing skill and balance but lacks hunger for the contest and was good early, went missing when tippett went onto him, better up and around the ball and then in the last when he got fired up by being reported; he's too often too lackadaisical at the contest trengove: classic good honest footballer who just butters up time and time again, but is clearly too slow for a 25 year old afl-listed player and his kicking has zero penetration frost: controlled it defensively, used it well offensively, didn't try to take the oppo on too often (did it early and got away with it, did it once late, got caught), and is basically a class above this level jkh: he's a massive accumulator of the pill but he's just not nearly damaging enough with it - can play well at this level but doesn't have any outstanding attributes that make him look like an afl-level player weideman: i am an unabashed fan, but it was just a game, albeit in very trying conditions for a marking tall - love the way he flies at the contest and missed set shot aside his kicking is superb, and he loves to tackle hullett: a big lug who doesn't seem to know how to throw himself at the contest, but he is a ripper kick of the ball from a set shot bugg: starved of opportunity early playing half-forward push-up, but once he got up and around the pill he was super busy and is a more likely afl option than jkh for instance king: was monstered early but they changed his attack at the ball at the ruck contests after quarter time and he was significantly better in the ruck as a result - his skills are good and he's another big who loves to tackle which is something you can't teach keilty: just looks so comfortable down back and so able to control the high ball coming in - there's a lot to like about him and he adds terrific defensive tall depth to our list maynard: in-and-under specialist who extracts it well but he does have a tendency to bang it on the boot and not look at where he's kicking it - his hands are great in close and i agree with @Dee-licious where it looks like he'll be a bit like avb and be a good plug-and-play type
  9. fantastic win 11.12-78 to 7.12.54 best demons would have to be keilty, frost, maynard, jkh, trengove watts with 20 possessions, 12 marks, 1 goal - his response in the on ground interview re the report "if i get done for that...." haha
  10. liam hullett with an amazing goal from the boundary seals the game 78-54
  11. jkh has laid 19 tackles since the start of the second quarter - don't reckon i saw him lay one in the first, but he's been excellent defensively since watts since his report has got on his bike and used his pace around the contest and ball-winning ability to impact and use it well; but he's a liability without the ball - does not tackle, does not chase about to chalk up 5 wins in a row for casey as they go 17 up at the 28 minute mark
  12. last 5-10 minutes from watts much better - using his ball-winning and pace
  13. i don't think jkh laid a tackle in the first quarter mitch gent poleaxed by his own teammate, but scott gets the goal and it's 69-54, about to enter time on
  14. there's not much in that watts report but it's symptomatic of his day - rather than trying to mark he jumped into the spoil
  15. aaaaaaaaaaaand, he's just been reported for charging - rather than sticking his arms up and going for the contest he elected to jump into the spoil and ironed out the willo player
  16. casey completely stopped 61-54 at the 9 and a half minute mark of the last
  17. he's not offered much in the vfl today - not exactly brilliant conditions for a tall, but it's his lack of tackling, lack of chasing, and lack of defensive pressure that is holding him out of the afl
  18. frost, keilty and maynard super impressive
  19. excellent quarter from casey in a real ding-dong scrap
  20. frost is unreal - clearly afl-level
  21. some of the ball movement leading up to maynard's goal from the top of the goal square just then was awesome fritsch lead up to the ball at half back, reeled around and hit watts on the wing who scythed it to weideman leading up thru chf - was fantastic to watch
  22. pretty much my thoughts exactly @Dee-licious the only thing i'll disagree with is that watts will be playing afl next week; he needs a much better second half keilty and frost clearly the best demons
  23. bayley fritsch will be on an afl list next season; really hope it's with us like hannan he's 'got tricks'
