  1. worth about a second round...in points if we're flagging this far out that we're keen we'll get it done, and gc17 will bank the points / use whatever we trade them for spare change

For a player who hasn’t played a minute of AFL football in over a year? Yeah....nah.......
  3. Only if it’s an ‘unbelievable’ deal for MFC according to my rumour mill
  4. And I struggle to see how May improves that i understand that GC17’s midfield outs zero defensive pressure on the ball carrier, leaving him exposed, but he has regularly had bags of goals kicked on him throughout his career He’s not quick on the lead and he’s not able to battle the high kicks
  5. yes...undersized for a modern key defender the likes of harris andrews are the prototype - extrezzo tall but agile, just like the key forwards they need to match up on it's part of why sydney are so keen to get darcy moore in, as he has the height and the nous to play that role

wants $1.2m a year for five years overrated at that price
  7. May is not a gorilla; he’s undersized for a modern key defender
  8. i'm thinking more historically, of course, with the likes of farmer, that traitorous so-and-so scott thompson, etc. stretch and viney are father-sons, and the latter is basically a vic boy - only lived in sa for, what, three years?
  9. wouldn't go near sa or wa boys based upon our history of holding onto them that's IF a hogan trade happens
  10. whatwhat say what replied to Chelly's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    tyson and kent for billings
  11. he was a crows supporter growing up, so i don't believe that for a second where?
  12. or they might get jimmy toumpas and shane valenti... look, the likelihood is that the carlton access to shane mcadam will go to adelaide along with their second round pick to prise out mcgovern gc17 will pick grigg, who gets another go at an afl career
  13. he couldn't do that as he's not a free agent next year
  14. Got the absolute most out of himself as a player Kudos to him.. the battle cry of ‘Pedo power!!’ Will be missed

I thought this thread was going to be about how t was disappointing to finish fourth but hey, at least we’re not St Kilda! They and we have been paired together since 2011 or so in terms of re-build We’ve now finished higher on the ladder than them in consecutive years I would much rather be an MFC supporter than an Aints one at the moment
  16. amazing that jack viney finished top 10 when he played less than half the games this year the surprise to me is that jones was so high up
  17. croad they traded alongside pick 10 to land pick 1 frawley and franklin left as free agents
  18. nah, it's just speculation, that's all
  19. denham seems to report EVERY YEAR that hogan is leaving you don't need to read it @Superunknown it's just all speculation with lots of ifs, maybes, and perhaps no actual quotes other than jesse saying 'i'm happy at the dees' from when he signed in october, 2016
  20. might as well chuck in oliver and viney i want those magic beans, dagnabbit
  21. garlett is under contract, so it's not as simple as delisting him
  22. god i'd forgotten wagner wagner - he's sort of neither here nor there as a rebounding defender cos he's a) not quick and b) not a good user of the ball, which puts him in that standard position of being a good 'effort' player who tries and tries but is extremely limited and as such has no true effect on the play
  23. Pedersen - looks like an old man hobbling around, he gives his all, but is limited to say the least Vince - sad way to go out, missing two shots his younger self would have nailed, he’s called time at the right time JKH - I query whether his fitness level is at afl standard as he starts the game well then fades badly Hunt - geez, what’s happened to this bloke? Used to eat up the ground, now he looks like he is waiting to be swallowed by it Fritsch - the obvious reason he’s favoured for a defensive role is cos he’s a composed left footer with the ball in hand and reads it superbly in flight Bugg - he’s competitive and a fighter, but his lack of skill makes him a prototypical not-quite-senior-standard player Petty - he reads the ball beautifully and you can see that’s his main attribute and he has he capacity to go on to be afl-level player McKenna - looked a mile off it Kielty - I thought he was okay without being anything amazing, and got beaten on a lead a few too many times for my liking Tim Smith - looks like a classic bit-part player who will do a few nice things, stuff up a few, and ‘play his role’ - he has a nice leap but that’s his main trick
  24. Once Hawks played two key forwards we were bereft of intercept and completely went to pieces in terms of ball movement It was an ugly game to watch with an uglier result That last quarter was awful
  25. BoX Hill get it back to seven points maggots gonna maggot...
