  1. when fit, kent was a regular in our best 22 when fit, kent will be a regular in the aints' best 22 good luck to him - really liked him at the dees, but he needed a fresh opportunity will never forget that footage of him sitting on his lonesome, in tears, up in darwin our player welfare management was so poor
  2. thank god we didn't pick up newnes as a wingman
  3. carltank playing this entire half like they did the first quarter and a half against us kent has always had the ability and skills, but his shoulders and his hamstrings worked against him shorter terms and shorter games help him
  4. to be honest, i understand why they keep persisting with spargo - the amount of goal chains he was involved with in the 2018 season is what they're looking for with the mid-sized and small forwards he showed in 2018 that he's a smart footballer who can actually see the short kick and attempt to hit that target unfortunately he's also a midget who our mids persist with kicking it on the top of his head and more often than not seems to duck his head and when he does get it he miss easy targets, so.....
  5. would've preferred it at the time
  6. on the bench i'd be tempted to to jackson - avb - hunt - lockhart o mac must be a shot to play on one of riewoldt or lynch too, i'd guess i dunno, it's all just a bit...uninspiring no viney vs stack re-match either, as the latter has been dropped; they also omitted ross plus astbury is injured too carnage for our (former) opponents too; gawn would've been going up against a first-gamer or possibly aliir
  7. what planet are you on? none of this is true great work @Demonland
  8. frank 'checker' hughes medal for anzac eve? love it
  9. i know! i'd completely forgotten about us signing up mcdonald's as corporate partners for aflw would be great to get them across the club as a whole not just on aflw coaching apparel this is a great interview guys
  10. not the wrong door! outstanding work from ed wtf.......
  11. we've added mcdonald's as a sponsor?
  12. first time i've listened to the podcast live
  13. what eddie has to say will be interesting
  14. hawks' 45 degree kicking to position was superb when they elect to move the ball away from the line towards goal you can see how super well-drilled they are by clarkson i thought - other than the keepings off - that the cats did well against us was holding possession until they'd got to the point that they wanted to a) switch or b) run the ball through our (occasionally parlous) zone having watched the replay of the cats-dees again, i'm once more reminded of tigers-pies and the way two teams defensive zones actually worked really well to negate the other's offensive forays dees-tigers could be a similarly interesting game to watch from a tactical perspective, albeit a frustrating one from a fan's perspective, if it follows suit accordingly
  15. because we're three games into a season
  16. can confirm it is a tasty drop
  17. he was very good on sen i think guaranteed @Demonland interview will hit harder than some of the lollipop q's gerard lobbed his way! can't wait to listen to it tomorrow as i trawl seek and linkedin
  18. where on earth did the other games go? pretty sure we've played 3 in a 17 game season...
  19. i think we can forget point 4 entirely, which obviously has severe ramifications on point 2, but the first and the last are the main queries i want posed to bartlett if @Demonland can address all of those items and what the ramifications of failure on each of them or, in the case of the last, an actual timeline on the latter then i'd be happy 1) what happens with coaching and football dept. if point 1 is not achieved in 2020? 2) when will the casey field facility be completed? 3) what is the actual timeline of the announcement of a plan - not even detail of it, just the timing! - to be announced for a 'home base facility? 4) given the effects of covid, is casey field facility a fallback option if the 'home base facility' shows itself to be an impossibility? 5) how are positioned to survive from a financial perspective given the shortfalls expected in points 2 and 4 as a result of covid-19? 6) point 3 is a classic ambition of every workplace, but how can we expected to attract new on-field talent given our consistently poor performance - 1 finals series in 14 years - for the majority of the lives of players 28 and under?
  20. leading metres gained for us last game??!? the notion of shifting him around from the role we brought him in as a free agent to play is one i don't understand at all it's like those suggesting we play may forward...why? by that logic o mac has to come in as a key defender; i'd rather may take that role and we find someone else who can play as a tall up forward...and i'd say no (at this stage) to smith or lever being the choices there as that trio need time to work out how to play together; it's been two games i can completely understand the calls for weideman or brown (or jackson) to come in to play as an additional tall forward, but i don't think it's time to throw the baby out with the bathwater when we're three games into the season, and only (an interrupted) two since resumption
  21. i want that 'i hate melbourne' one
  22. rochambeau!
  23. this would have to be the smallest injury list we've had in eons
  24. i don't think we will either i wish we would, but goodwin and the footy dept seem to be entirely enamoured of the richmond pre-lynch and current pies set-up of one tall, a bunch of mediums, and a couple of smalls
  25. the afl have to do everything they can to keep the season going as otherwise at least six clubs, 1000s of jobs, and 100s of 1000s of supporters are at risk of being lost
