Eh? Still listed as 4 weeks. What've you heard?

If we win this, it's a big win whatever the outs are. Their depth is excellent, ours is kids with under 10 games experience. I fear their lesser names, one of them always seems to get under our guard, like Dick. It's about time Moloney dominated the clearances against a good team, this for me is the key to getting close / winning, we match up well in a lot of places, but we need Moloney to lead the kids out of the middle. Playing in Collingwoods forward half will be instant death.

Pisser of a screen name, we've been told to let it out... Personally I think there's too much going on in footy for people to get into singing. But good luck, would be cool if you could get something going.

One thing that might help him, is Jones' lip gets cut right before he gets punched, it wasn't from the punch. Not sure if that will have anything to do with it, but I noticed it last night.

Excellent. Dwayne here's an anecdote Russell would never be found guilty of not referencing Man U.
-
I summed it up in the latest Scully thread, it was a rubbish example IMO.
-
Took you a while to get it, seeing as you added the first sentence 6 minutes after the original post. If you've got nothing constructive to fabricate, don't fabricate anything at all.
-
It's our home game, we want as many people and Collingwood supporters as possible.

That quote starts off like Tarzan, ends up like Jane.

I've hardly commented on this topic, but tonight it's annoyed me a bit. We just had a good win, and instead of showing Jordie's tenacity, or Gys' (rising star tomorrow btw) skills and constant running, or Trenners or Watts' excellent games, Footy Classified was about Scully staying or not. Is this all we will hear about when we win? Spare me. Also this greatest comeback game BS is so far over the top it's laughable. Scully was alright, good first game back but that is all. The passage of play Lyon highlighted as gut running was nothing of the sort. For a start the initial chase was a jog and hesitation, had he ran harder earlier there was a chance at getting a loose ball. Then he ends up back up our end for a shot at goal. Garry called this gut running and dangerous positioning, BS. I just happened to be watching Scully during this play, the ball took ages to get back down our end with some nice possession football, Scully walked and jogged down the middle, his opponent went to sleep and he led into the 50 for an easy mark. I am in no way trying to talk down Tom Scully here, I just think all this over the top nonsense about this particular game is mental.

The Judd one was nothing like the Trengove one.

Nathan Brown is going I believe, not Leroy
-
Melksham is good, hard at it. Would you pick him before Gysberts though? Chuckle. I'd like to see Strauss tried in the Zaharakis role, you know the one where no one rates you enough to stay on you and you run around getting cheap goals.
-
Agree with that, even as far as Gawn being #1 ruck if Wood does most of the ruckwork. Need to keep Martin matched up on Browne all day because he's the type of [censored] that always gets under our guard. It'll leave Rivers and Chip to cover Cloke and Daws and no need to bring back Warnock.
-
I hope he doesn't get done for that bump. His feet left the ground and he just got Stanton in the head from what I saw, Stanton was down for a bit. I'm guessing he'll get a week.
-
I've been a Morton fan, but where did that pace come from?
-
I have no worries at all about Strauss' kicking, frankly, you're none too bright if you are concerned about it. It's his ability to find the ball and the hunger for the contest. Finding the ball - he was given the kick ins and kicked to himself and took off, obviously a tactic, and one that'll greatly help develop him, give him some easy possies so he can learn to adjust to the pressure of AFL. Popped his shoulder in a tackle at Willy when he was a skinny kid. He's a completely different size now and I saw good signs from him around the contests on Friday, though he did look nervous. Leadership, and players busting a gut into space are all needed to help players like Strauss develop. I really hope he doesn't get dropped, deserves another game. I liked his pace when he ran that (can't think who) [censored] down, fluffed the tackle, but at least it affected the turn over. There was a pretty poor spoiling effort from him on Crameri, I was disappointed in Chip Frawley when he saw it, put his hands on his head and just walked away. I think he should've shown some leadership and told him what to do next time or to keep his chin up or whatever, but that's just me.

I'm just hear to say I love him. Hope that helps him heal.

Carlton dilemma over Brock McLean's spot against Melbourne
Deestroy All replied to Demon Property's topic in Melbourne Demons
..and, back out. Chuckle. -
I thought the same thing. I also agree with Carlton, and I thank them, hopefully they will fire us up enough to play some football I can stand to watch this Friday. This year, purely how soft we are has been the most disappointing thing, I can live with most other things, but when players hang back a bit and let the opposition get it first, makes me effin sick. Pot calling the kettle black a bit though, considering Garlett and Yarran's efforts. I suggest they worry about their own pots in the future.

The run down the wing and Wonna's dad with Jimmy was against Brisbane as Hell Bent said. The Freo comeback had Wonna firmly inside forward 50 getting it done. Good luck to Wonna, in whatever he chooses to do in the future.

Drop him.

Anyone happen to see the Marngrook footy show last night? They showed a mark Michael Mitchell took in the WAFL. Probably the best mark I've ever seen. Absolute ripper, just shades Smith's at the GABBA I reckon.
-
4 ripping goals and a mark of the week? In how many games? Jurrah had that in 3 games... Besides, I'm talking about good games, not fkn highlight reels ffs.

Saying he'll improve or become a very good player is one thing, predicting he'll burn in september is as stupid as saying the next 3 weeks will decide his career. Aaron Davey is a very good player, hasn't got a kick in September, Leon Davis has had one exceptional season and then didn't get a touch in September. Bennell is softer than both, and hasn't shown anything near what either of those 2 showed in their first 10 games...
