There goes our season.

I picked Carlton, because we owe them, the last game against them was not a good performance by us at all, we were injury ravaged, and they only built the big lead later in the game when they should have smashed us. And they just aren't a top 4 quality side, they're a lower top 8 side, we nearly are too. Hawthorn have scarred us over the years, we should be every chance with their injuries, yet I'm prepping myself for a thrashing.

This was our last great win.

Yeah because I said all that. I stated a fact, he was in the top 3 worst on today, was a pig of a game. Dumb handballs, sloppy frees, easily beaten by Kane who is having a very down year. I am happy for Tom to put off talks to concentrate on footy, you might wanna play some good footy in the process though. Sure he's going to be a very good player, but the more I see the more I question how high his star will rise. Trengove is bonafide already, the media should be all over how good this kid is, instead we get what will Tom do? and G Lyon over exaggerating Scully running clips. I'm a Scully fan (and his courage should be shown on repeat to some of the softies we have), but I believe he is overrated to date, and will call a shocker when I see one.

Would've done better without him tonight, apart from the courage, he was rubbish. Trengove is a class above.

In terms of on field, I give him all the credit in the world, was one of my favourites. Being 98% percent sure about something you clearly could not be 98% sure about is stupid. I've been 98% sure someone was bluffing before, I was stupid and went home in my undies.

I don't see much difference between Spencer and Andrew Browne, Spencer probably a better tap ruckman, Browne better below his knees, both unco by foot. If they want Spencer they can have him. Gawn won't go anywhere. The Tigers are Gawn and also aren't going anywhere.

Yeah I like Barry, he's pretty unlucky really. But was just a crazy fight! If you can track down the Joey Lauzon v Warburton fight from that card it's worth a watch, the sub will make you cringe, nice!

Was a big shot, and only just reached him (Sots) unfortunately. However it seems any time he gets tagged his legs turn to soup. He was KTFO on TUF, they say you're never the same after a big one. I actually don't think his stand up is that bad, I'd take his striking over many other BJJ black belts. Obviously his boxing is a little slow and he doesn't get out the way in time though! I think his biggest flaw is his flimsy takedowns (read attempts). When your stand up is not better than the other guys, and you've got zero wrestling, being one of the best BJJ guys in the world is rendered useless. No one is on the back foot against him worrying about being taken down, so they can stand and trade with confidence, then it becomes about luck. If he had takedowns he'd have beaten Siver (although Siver's takedown defense is excellent) no question. And had he got Dos Anjos to the mat it would have been some BJJ spectacle. Did you see the Kongo vs Barry card?

We must have forgotten that he's waiting til the end of the year to discuss his contract.

The kick on the buzzer was after an awesome chase that he never gave up on, started in the forward pocket and ended near half back, it's a shame he ended up with it after the turn over, was no chance. But his kicking action is horrible. I once called him the worst straight kick I've ever seen. Now they're not going straight he's just a terrible kick. Surely a new action needs to be drilled into him, will be a very good player if he can correct it.
