Maybe it's the boorish attitude of many Collwd supporters that should be called to account, especially the booing of Geelong (Hawkins?) when the players were on the dais. That was very very poor and reflects badly on Australian sporting culture.
how much the cost of the buckley/ malthouse fiasco? the coming weeks and possible recriminations will be interesting. collingwood, esp. eddie got ahead of themselves.
The holy trinity:
1. Gary's 'shopfront' role on the Footy Show;
2. Gary's on-going role reviving the club as MFC's "No.2";
3. Gary continuing to maintain that he doesn't want the job on a long-term basis.
Perhaps this has been mentioned already, but Jack Grimes' leadership award at the B & F raises questions about the on-field brigade, esp. the captain. Having said that, Green has been courageous with the Dees, often having to punch way above his weight. Is there a better contested pack-marker on our forward line? Not at present.
As witnessed by MFC supporters, Sheedy's currency is vendettas and paybacks. Watch the aussie rules clubs tuck into "GWS" players once his Burke and Wills adventure founders.

All the bad feelings of this season have washed away, and optimism for our club has been re-ignited with Neeld's arrival. our overly complicated finals system, overlong home and aways and overloaded number of clubs for the moment play second fiddle to a brutal short pre-pre-season of coach culling and new appointments: Neeld, Lyon, McCartney and Verdun Howell for Stkilda. Accompanying the new appointments are the declarations and photo ops of the new coach/es, but what goes up must come down, and the reality check will come once the coaching appointments season concludes and 2012 reality hits.
Having said all that, I hope Mark Neeld raises the mighty demons back to the ladder position they held when I got my Ron Barassi boots in Grade 4. I have waited long enough.
Did Darren Lockyer injure his vocal chords playing rugby and is he completely mad? (proposing to play on w/e). Someone who is familiar with this code pls assist.

Thanks, bad mistake, he lifted the whole team with his strength
Stretch, Viney, Spalding, Johnson and Dean all came to the Dees around the same time and gave the club a badly needed boost after nearly twenty five years of nothing. He was a key player in that 87-91 period where we won a host of finals and should have won a premiership.
