  1. The discussions about Melbourne's inside 50s are very reminiscent of Hitler's Operation Barbarossa... it's all well and good to get "inside 50s" but this stat does not add to our scores heat.
  2. The weird thing thing is that our cellar-dweller companions, the mighty, cashed up WCE are also completely useless, ATM. At least there is the consolation of Everton's overnight triumph against 3rd placed Nottingham Forest. So if facilities, membership numbers, and $$$ isn't the be all and end all why can't we just let go of our premiership entitlement syndrome, and just start again.
  3. There was Everton v Liverpool. 0-1.
  4. But he has to play as "The Spearhead".
  5. Kayo pre- game show (in case anyone missed): what GC have to go to make the finals, and Melbourne are AFL house/ media witches hats.
  6. You are making far too much sense.
  7. I beg to differ. I even think the Coodabeens did a song about it. And if l can't find the song l will write one myself and DM it off to a posse of Demonland fact-checkers and pedants.
  8. Under-scoring the legendary John Kennedy's famous maxim: Just kick it, then it's someone else's problem.
  9. Dealey Plaza was graded high impact and intentional.
  10. Think Tassie Johnson, Ray Biffin, Sean Wight, Austin Powers. All could play at both ends...
  11. Hassa's goal, v Hawthorn R18, '64.
  12. Darren Bennett's bomb at Windy Hill in the 90s. Apologies if this already said.
  13. So very, very true. Just another unfairness overlay, AFL reminding anyone who didn't already know of their incompetence.
  14. "Loyalty is to the club you are currently at", RDB. circa, The Dark Years.
  15. All l can think of is Don Williams, who went to play for Sale, returning in time for '64 premiership.
  16. If you look at the Rhettrospective 60s footage on YouTube there's a lot of biffo, but the ball player, and player in front was sacrosanct. WCE won a premiership about five years ago v Collingwood with a nod, nod, wink wink nudge, and now it seems anything goes. Head office doesn't want any implication that this is a game for pansies. Ditto those life-ending knees ... primary function of which is to take out a player.
  17. What about "It's a Long Way To The Top".
  18. Surely this initiative would present excellent cost-saving opportunities for our new Admin centre at Caulfield...
  19. The AFL is a compromised organisation, using hired influencers to speculate on "tradeables", whilst pandering to the gambling industry and their cotery of unbackable destination clubs.
  20. Wouldn't mind seeing some crossover between WCW and AFL. Maynard and Moore could tag team as the Deadly duo using the Flying Mare and The back attack to terrorise the opposition. Jack Little as AFL Media Director would be on hand to issue a firm WOW! to help promote AFL betting agencies.
  21. I just did some online research, and it seems it was Killer Carl Cox who partook in the "surreptitious use of foreign objects", not to mention the brain buster.
  22. Who was the guy who always had a "foreign object" in his hand?
  23. PS l once got head-butted by Sabbo at Springy High. It was totally un-premeditated.
  24. Must admit, my memory has faded. The head-butt, l guess you meant there...
