  1. Looks pretty proppy
  2. I’ve had a dislocated patella and almost complete tear of my MCL from someone sliding in below the knee. Injuries are common from that action. It’s a good rule.
  3. Nik Cox was a top 10 draft pick 😂😂😂
  4. We were down on talls this week just gone. I think we need both Petty and Fullarton in. Maybe Turner to sub.
  5. The unpredictability could be good for us early. Try to get the jump on them and see if we can hold on.
  6. Sparrow was the top and second top player on the ground for average speed in attack and defence. He ain’t going nowhere. Excellent work rate, clearly he is doing jobs for the coach
  7. Smashed in the midfield and in the air. Of the MFC listed, McAdams/Howes ok, Jefferson not involved much but good when he is, Brown smart when involved, not much else to say really. I’d take Henry Smith from the Lions. 21yo 206cm, has talent. Robertson or Lyons could be worth looking at as midfield role players.
  8. Umpiring and Schache are both unwatchable. If he is on our list beyond this year I will burn the place down.
  9. Sounds like he is getting close to a top 10 pick according to the AFL.com.au draft guys
  10. Howes is dominating this 3rd quarter. Very steady influence. Unlucky to have that beautiful goal cancelled by a free against McAdam. Laurie our next best. McAdam has played his role well but we can’t afford that ill-discipline at AFL level. Wouldn’t mind seeing him as sub soon. Impressed with Jefferson getting in the right spots and using the ball well. Brown has had some really impressive moments and also some really bad. Hunter and Billing’s have been deplorable and so hard to watch. Almost as bad as the umpiring. We should be way further in front but very wasteful in front of goal.
  11. The umpiring line up is pretty dire. Headlined by the worst in the league Williamson #22. Plus Stevic #9 who hates us and Stephens #12, and some other guy. Going to be a very hard watch.
  12. We don’t have it within us this year with no Trac and Oliver like he is. But Trac back, give Oliver a proper preseason, some new coaching ideas and a bit of intelligent list turnover over the offseason and we can def be back contending next year.
  13. Players like Phillips go cheap when out of contract, even though originally a high pick. 3rd rounder probably, or late 2nd. I think it would be worth a go.
  14. I think it means we still have to swallow just under half of his contract in the salary cap over the next 4 years. Farcical.
  15. Roos were out on their feet from early in that last qtr. As much as I hate Collingwood, I really envy their spirit. That was a very impressive comeback with so many stars out. But geez the umps got them over the line in the end. That non-50 was criminal.
  16. How was that not 50?!?
  17. He has been beaten more this year than I can remember. Is it worth trialling swapping him with Petty for a few weeks to at least pump up Petty’s trade value a bit? He is far more confident as a defender and May played forward as a junior I think.
  18. Agree on all your points. Especially Tim Lamb. Extending Adams, Laurie etc recently for two years is very questionable. They seem incapable of moving on players who are not showing much.
  19. Let’s not get too excited about that game. Geelong have the worst rucks by far in the league and opposition rucks dominate them every game. Not playing Grundy in the finals was a huge mistake but moving him (and his contract) on was the right thing to do. Gawn is not a forward and neither is Grundy. They were no good together.
  20. Agree. No depth whatsoever. Shallow midfield. Hopeless forward line. [censored] coaching.
  21. Is there 11? I can only count 8. Still a disgrace but let’s at least get the facts straight.
  22. I get this but I believed at the time (and still do) that losing Brayshaw at that stage of that game cost us the premiership. And now our window looks close to closed to me. Not to mention the implications for Brayshaw himself. It was pretty consequential.
  23. This was so obviously Maynard’s intention which therefore made it suspendable. He “chose to” make him earn it and it went wrong. This is how he plays every week. The AFL 100% put up a deliberately pathetic argument at the tribunal. It was all a sham to save face but protect Collingwood. Absolutely effed.
  24. Collingwood wouldn’t be offering that. Cameron is a better player right now. Adelaide would be a better shot at 1st ruck but does he really want to live in Adelaide (VIC boy right?)?
  25. I sure am wondering if he was the special ingredient in 2021 that we are now missing (plus Burgess, though he’s clearly not having the same impact at Adelaide).
