  1. I like it, but I think Weitering needs to be CHB. Max King a bit stiff as well. Greene is a bold choice but I don't hate it, he's been THAT good.
  2. I felt a bit like last night we were back to our manic pressure and hard running because we really had heart and that overcame any tiredness we had from loading. Hopefully someone buys that. But seriously this is where I don't buy into the theory that it is 100% about loading and results/every kick, mark and handball being directly affected by it. Getting a run on with momentum, getting the heads of steam up from that and piling more pressure on as a result, being able to play a regular intercept game because the big man is back allowing Lever and Petty to do what they do, winning back the footy and scoring on turnover, entering 50 in a less one dimensional way and having the nerve to lower the eyes. All these things contribute to getting a team through even if they are still slightly off due to loading (which I do believe is a factor). People also may not want to admit it but at one point this game could have gone either way too and were were slightly fortuitous at times. We know that we were extremely inaccurate but there were moments where the game was in the balance that Bris had some key set shots and let us off multiple times with bad misses. Had they kicked those it could have been a different game. So for me it's what is happening with mentality during these periods of loading. A nice run on with a few goals in a row and the heads are up and willing to run that extra 5% harder which we saw in spades last night. Smashed them in contested and uncontested possessions, you do a lot less running with the ball than without the ball. So many factors involved, loading exists but it's how you get through and nothing is an exact mathematical equation as to how a game will turn out because of it.
  3. He's special no doubt, just doing the level headed thing 😝
  4. Glad you like it.
  5. Loved the way he approached it. He didn't let Cameron get goal-side or in behind all night and was more than happy to give up a mark to him in front around the 50 (Only happened once from memory) if it meant preventing out the back stuff. Maybe, just maybe, it actually was worth a vote..
  6. Not even thinking ahead right now it's still week to week for me. A great win but not out of the woods, need a solid effort against the Crows then go again.
  7. Big fan of HB's writing style. He sounds like he knows every club inside out which few others do.
  8. Says it all really..
  9. If you're talking about the massive snap it was quiet in the SS reserved area but in my section it felt like no-one was sure if it went through or not. I was the only one going nuts and literally had to tell the crowd around me that he'd kicked a goal!
  10. When I first got to the ground at 6 I did see a lot of Lions fans and was worried but it certainly turned around closer to bounce! You could really feel the demon in everyone last night!
  11. They take forever to get uploaded lately.
  12. Thank goodness for both!
  13. I would say no change, not sure what the weather will be like. Rivers I would like in but happy to let it ride.
  14. Take a bow Toby, those goals had me out of the seat!
  15. I also thought Dogga and Omac had a great battle all night but it doesn't diminish Jackson's performance. Actually reminded me of the days when you'd get those 1 v 1 duals with two greats trying to out-do one another and both ended up being their team's best players. Jackson's influence both around the ground and even in ground ball contests was immense with 10 contested possessions. Comfortably in our top 5 players IMO.
  16. Bone growth can go well into the 20s so it's possible 😉
  17. Good work Joeboy!
  18. His start to the season was reasonable and likely comes a bit cheaper this year. Won't rule out entirely, could help us. Will re-visit in a few months.
  19. Agree, this is a 'forget' game for Bris. Things will be way different come the rematch and the pointy end.
  20. Very good sign really. They aren't junk time goals either he kicked some important ones when needed.
  21. I think he's really going to thrive being skipper this time round 🙂
  22. It was very unique to other games he's played that's for sure!
  23. That's it Luci, I can't quite describe it but it felt like he was playing in a jumping castle and was able to bounce back up to his feet no matter how hard he fought for the ball. He would get that yard of space and deliver, he could literally do no wrong in that area! Remember when people always said Viney was like a Rugby player who always tried to drive through tackles with the footy? Tell you what they had a tough time even laying a glove on him last night!
  24. Extremely happy with the way Sam competed last night. Work rate high and intent to be physical. This is the level required and if he brings that ever week I'm happy, marks and goals will come.
  25. He'll give you second, third, fourth efforts repeatedly. The people behind me wanted him dropped but we absolutely need him and if he can hit the scoreboard like that then he's undroppable in my opinion.
