Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Yeah enough unnecessary potting of our currently contracted players. It's egregious, preposterous, outrageous.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
One game at VFL level in the wet is brilliant Doug Reemer but not quite enough to convince me he should play his first game at AFL level which is streets ahead of the VFL standard wise, in the wet ,interstate, against one of the most fierce defences in the league right now.

Head high tackles
If it's trying to con an official then it probably is cheating. It's a real strong word and was the word that started the whole Norm Smith saga

JVR to kick 5?

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I'd say it's reading of the flight. More likely needs to go to specsavers than bulk up more.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Well in Collingwood's case they let it all blow up in trade period.

Head high tackles
The word gets thrown around a lot, like someone claiming a goal that actually missed. It's not a great word.

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
I've been thinking about this most of today. 4 times we've had 4 goal + leads and been chased down, for a team as good as ours you could forgive maybe 1 or 2. I know loading has been discussed ad nauseam but I wonder how well this bodes for mental toughness and the mindset. When it comes to winning it all who can be toughest the longest matters, I would hope that we're still a resilient team but the manner of losses is concerning across the board.

Looking forward to seeing Joel Smith on the track.

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
I'd say that I'd be happy if we had 1 more win next to our name but that would be like asking if the temperature in the room could be turned up 1 degree.

Between the Flags - a great new book on the MFC
I kind of regret getting this posted and not going to check out the Avenue Bookstore in Albert Park. Anyone been there and is it a store worth checking out for some other titles?

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
That's it. If he wants the new Zac Williams tag I'd rather it be somewhere else.

Farewell Luke Jackson
It is interesting how they do it in NRL with players signing for other teams during the season. Possibly it is all out in the open and allows them to focus on the game? Someone more in the know on NRL might be able to shed light on this but I'd like to know how often teams win the premiership when their star players sign with other clubs during the season. Off the top of my head Cooper Cronk with the Storm was one.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Maybe the wet is the great equaliser A F? Think it could just be a baptism of fire going up against that backline right now.

Demonstone's and Flaubert's English Grammar for Demonlanders 101
Why do so many people spell the word quiet 'quite'? It happens so often in text messages. Is it laziness? Idioticness? They are two completely different words! Eg. "Yeah I noticed things have been quite between the two of you" "You were awfully quite in that last quarter!"

Farewell Luke Jackson
I was the same with the Gus interview yesterday. One minute thinking he could surprise us with an early re-signing and that was all a smokescreen and the next minute thinking he's priming us gently for his departure by saying how big this decision is.

Of all weeks to debut JVR, this is not one of them.

Dee-jà Vu
Winning out is unlikely but hopefully we see more of what we know and love. I just don't want to see any 4 or 5 goal leads fluffed anymore.
